The Lady Hatters volleyball team made history tonight by defeating defending league champions, Upper Merion, in five competitive sets; 30-28, 22-25, 25-15, 26-28, 23-21. The whole team contributed to this amazing win. Despite the close scoring games, the Hatters pulled through when it mattered most. The offense was led by senior Sam Jones with 39 kills, senior Alexa Kennedy contributed 11, and junior Jaimee Stoczko added 9. Senior Candyce Riley dished out 56 assists. Freshman Katerina Yankanich stepped up during critical moments and served four aces and 29 points. On defense, Sam Jones, sophomore Allison Laucella and senior Rachel DeMarco delivered exceptional passing scores. Jones had 35 digs, Riley had 29 and Laucella added 28. Senior Dymond Black, junior Cassidy Quattro and Stoczko each contributed two blocks.
