Upper Merion played an important match on Saturday against Strath Haven at Upper Merion. Strath Haven is a very powerful team and will most likely win the Central League, which they won last year. Upper Merion lost the first set 22-25 but then won the next 3 sets by scores of 25-14, 25-20 & 25-21. Casey Griffith was hurt and we had a freshman, Emily Shannon play libero and she did very well. Kendall Gazzo and Heather Krick shared 17 kills, Melanie Ingram had 7 aces, Emily Shannon had 13 digs and Cassidy Koenig kept everything working throughout the match with 27 assists.
