William Tennent defeated Conwell Egan on Senior Night at WT, 3-0. 25-15, 25-15, 25-13. The win was the 14th for the Panthers and the 200th all-time for Coach Bassler. (I was shocked they remembered) But the story on the court and then off the court were the 4 Panther Seniors. They played amazing tonight, Meredith Johnston OH had 11 kills and 7 digs. Maggie McGlynn libero/DS had 5 digs and 1 ace. Mayley Morena, RS, 2 digs, 1 ace, 1 kill and Julia Richard, setter, had 10 assists, 5 aces and 3 digs. Bigger than that to the coaches were the speeches the underclassmen gave after about what these seniors have meant to the program and to each of them personally. The seniors made an impact on all of our lives but especially their teammates with the connections they made and people they are. We play CRN tomorrow night then hope to hear about playoffs on Saturday, it was our #1 team goal.
