William Tennent defeated Pennsbury 3-1 today. 25-19, 25-20, 17-25, 26-24. Extremely well played and fun match by both sides. So many points could have went either way. Addy Criss, sophomore libero had 37 digs and Maggie McGlynn, senior had 9 digs and 2 aces led the back row. Maggie is dealing with a hand injury she just doesn’t want to come out. None of the girls do, they are amazing. They all cheer and pull for one another. Senior Meredith Johnston had 13 kills and Georgie Thorpe had 6 kills including 2 huge ones in set 4. Freshman Izzy Goebel (19 assists) and Senior Julia Richard (9 assists) spread the ball around and played great defense. So many girls played big roles that don’t turn up in the statistics. So proud of all of them. Good win against a good, and well coached team.
Freshman setter, sophomore libero and seniors that have been great and shown even greater leadership. Can’t say enough about how much this team has grown together. They are fun.
