Wissahickon Comments
The Wissahickon Lady Trojans welcomed the William Tennent Panthers for a non-conference match Wednesday evening. The Trojans started a bit slow dropping the first set 21-17. The team fought hard in the 2nd set but ended up losing 25-23. Set 3 saw the Lady Trojans battle back from an early deficit to take the set 25-23 winning on an Ace by Junior setter/middle Anyah Carter. Set 4 once again saw the Lady Trojans fall behind by a large deficit. Sophomore Lyla Ruegg came into serve with the Lady Trojans down 24-12. She reeled off 9 straight serves including 2 aces and brought the team to within 24-21. Unfortunately, the team couldn't complete the incredible comeback and fell to the Panthers. Great performances were put forth by freshwomen Kaitlyn Lang(libero) and Hannah Seder(seder) who are making their impact felt. Up next for the Lady Trojans is a conference match at Abington on Thursday.
