SOUDERTON SOCCER PREVIEW
Coach: Matt Emmert (2nd Season)
Last year’s record: 4-13-2, 3-10-1 (SOL)
Assistant coaches: Greg Margolis
Notable losses: Lindsey Hollingsworth (F), Emily Dwyer (GK)
Key returnees: Senior – Alena Mokryzcki (M)
Junior – Brooke Pinkos (D)
Sophomores – Lauren Verso (M), Taylor Schwartz (F), Grace Miorelli (F), Lea Deimeyer (M)
Others to watch: Juniors – Brittany Licona (D), Sierra Scott (GK)
Sophomores – Tori Tornetta (D), Allison Parry (D), Mindi Radcliff (D)
Freshman – Jessica Karpa (M)
Strengths: Souderton has a balanced squad comprised mainly of sophomores and juniors with experience from last season. Quality players across the board and depth at all positions should allow them to strike a balance between defensive solidity and attacking thrust.
Question marks: How quickly will a new back line and GK become familiar with one another?
Overall outlook: “After a disappointing spring 2010 season, Souderton hopes to rebound with a more experienced squad.”
