Senior Matt Hollenbeck (Hatboro-Horsham) threw six-plus innings in Georgetown’s 4-3 win over Creighton in its BIG EAST opener on Thursday. He gave up two runs (one earned) on just three hits while striking out six.
Ben Hauser (Central Bucks East) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored in Northampton’s 9-5 win over Lehigh Carbon on Thursday.
Ricky Dennis (Central Bucks South) was credited with the win in his first career start in Monmouth University’s 6-4 win over Rutgers on Wednesday. The CB South grad threw five innings, allowing two unearned runs on three hits while striking out three.
Zach Philippi (Harry S Truman) recorded his first save in York College’s 7-5 win over St. Mary’s (Md.) on Wednesday, allowing one run on two hits while striking out two in two innings of relief.
Senior rightfielder Matt Hanson (Central Bucks West) was 2-for-4 in Moravian’s 7-6 loss to Drew University in game one of a doubleheader split on Saturday. The CB West grad moved into sole possession of second place in the Moravian record books with 178 career hits.
Dan Hinchcliff (North Penn) was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored in Catholic University’s 9-3 win over Stevenson on Tuesday.
Senior Craig Lepre (North Penn) was 3-for-5 in Albany’s 4-3 win over the University of Maine in a doubleheader split last Sunday.
Ryan Henritzy (Council Rock North) had a pair of hits in Lock Haven’s 15-2 win over East Stroudsburg in game two of a doubleheader split on Saturday. In a 2-1 loss in game one, Henritzy had a double and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. In Wednesday’s 4-2 win over Bloomsburg, Henritzy was 2-for-4. In Monday’s 4-2 loss to Millersville, Henritzy was 2-for-3.
Joey Nieves-Markee (Bensalem) went 4-for-4 with three runs scored in Cairn University’s 8-1 win over Penn State Brandywine on Wednesday.
Kristopher Davis (Central Bucks East) earned the complete game win in Elizabethtown’s 11-3 victory over Juniata in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. The East grad allowed seven hits and three runs while walking one and fanning eight. Juniata collected four of those hits and plated two runs in the first inning. He allowed just three hits and one run the rest of the way. Davis led all Division III pitchers with a 30:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio coming into the weekend. In last Sunday’s 3-2 loss in 10 innings to Moravian, David started and went eight innings, allowing nine hits and two earned runs with no walks and two strikeouts. He was not involved in the decision.
Brady West (North Penn) was 1-for-3 with an RBI in Bloomsburg’s 4-2 loss to Lock Haven on Thursday.
Brandon Martinez (North Penn) was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored in Kutztown’s 5-2 win over Mansfield last Monday.
Andrew Check (Central Bucks West) had a pair of hits, two RBIs and a stolen base in Eastern University’s 6-5 win over FDU-Florham in Wednesday’s home opener.
Kyle Wenger (Souderton) had an RBI double in Delaware Valley’s 7-6 loss to Wilkes University on Saturday.
Max German (Council Rock North) was 3-for-6 with a double and RBI in Penn State Abington’s 10-8 win over Penn State Berks in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. Matt Meyers (Cheltenham) had a pair of doubles and two runs scored. In Monday’s 4-3 loss to Rutgers-Camden, German tripled and drove in a run and Meyers singled and stole home. In last Sunday’s 8-7 loss to Stevenson, Meyers was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and one run scored. German was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs while Pat Fitzgerald (Central Bucks South) was 2-for-5 with a double, RBI and run scored.
Ken McCormick (Pennsbury) was 3-for-4 with three RBIs in Philadelphia University’s 7-0 win over Lincoln University in game two of a doubleheader sweep Friday.
Dylan Tice (Pennridge) was a combined 5-for-7 with a triple and home run in each game of West Chester’s doubleheader sweep of Mansfield on Saturday afternoon. He has seven home runs and three triples on the season. In Tuesday’s 16-1 win over Philadelphia University, Tice went 4-for-6 with three runs scored. In Monday’s 22-3 win over Bloomsburg, Tyler Coleman (Quakertown) was 5-for-5 with a walk. He scored three times. Tice and Robert Knox (Upper Moreland) both homered in the win.
David Blount (Harry S Truman) was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored in Gwynedd Mercy’s 6-3 win over Centenary in game one of a doubleheader split Saturday. Jason Mulvey (Bensalem) added a single and run scored. In the Griffins’ 7-6 loss to Centenary in the opener, Brett Kozlowski (William Tennent) was 3-for-3 with a run scored while Mulvey had a single and RBI. In Thursday’s 4-2 loss to Immaculata, Blount was 2-for-4 with a double. Mulvey collected three hits with a triple, a run scored and a stolen base. Hens had an RBI single.
Greg McDonough (Wissahickon) was 3-for-3 with an RBI and run scored in Widener’s 6-2 loss to Stevenson in game one of a doubleheader split on Saturday. In Wednesday’ 5-3 win over The College of New Jersey, McDonough had a hit and two RBIs.
Sophomore Brandon DiBona (William Tennent) recorded three hits and two runs scored in Chestnut Hill’s 16-9 win over Bloomfield College on Saturday. Junior catcher Robert Slagle III (Plymouth Whitemarsh) had a pair of hits, including a three-run double, and four RBIs.
Redshirt sophomore Conner Crookham (Hatboro-Horsham) was 4-for-6 with a home run, four RBIs and three runs in East Stroudsburg's doubleheader sweep of the University of the Sciences on Thursday. In the Warriors' 9-7 win in game one, he had a two-run home run. Redshirt sophomore left-hander Marty Martens (Central Bucks West) earned the win in ESU's 7-1 win in the nightcap, throwing four shutout innings and allowing just one hit. In last Monday's doubleheader split with Shippensburg, redshirt sophomore outfielder Casey Saverio was 5-for-14 with a double, RBI and five runs. In the Warriors' 8-2 win in game one, Crookham contributed a two-run single that gave ESU a 4-2 lead.
FIELD HOCKEY
Villanova freshman Mackenzie Harding (Central Bucks South) was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic squad. The NFHCA Academic Squad recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year. Harding appeared in nine games for the Wildcats last fall.
MEN’S LACROSSE
Garret Rosiek (Wissahickon) contributed two goals and two assists and also was credited with five ground balls in Aurora University’s 15-7 win over Beloit on Wednesday. In Saturday’s 9-3 win over Carthage, Rosiek had one goal, two assists and seven ground balls.
Junior Chris Schneekloth (Central Bucks East) was credited with three ground balls in No. 14 Cabrini’s 22-2 win over Rosemont College on Wednesday.
Joe Palo (Hatboro-Horsham) won 9-of-19 face-offs in Eastern University’s 14-11 loss to Ursinus on Saturday.
Eastern University’s Tyler Gehlhaus (Hatboro-Horsham) earned Freedom Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for the week ending March 29. The Eagles defeated Stockton University 15-5 in their only game of the week. Gelhaus headlined Eastern’s defense with four caused turnovers and three ground balls as the Eagles held the Ospreys to a season-low five goals. Gelhaus has nine caused turnovers and 15 ground balls this season.
WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Junior Cortnee Daly (Hatboro-Horsham) scored a season-high six goals and added an assist in No. 10 Louisville’s 20-6 win over American University on Tuesday.
Senior Kimber Kisselback (Neshaminy) had two caused turnovers as well as two ground balls in Holy Family’s 13-12 win over Philadelphia University on Thursday. In Tuesday’s 17-5 win over Caldwell University, Kisselback contributed a goal.
Stephanie Hogan (Central Bucks West) scored a pair of goals in Eastern University’s 12-11 overtime win over King’s College on Thursday.
Madi Brunk (Cheltenham) scored twice in No. 18 Messiah College’s 16-0 win over Hood College on Wednesday.

Liz Mower (Souderton) recorded a game-high nine points (four goals, five assists) in Philadelphia University’s 16-11 win over Queen’s (N.Y.) on Saturday. In Thursday’s 13-12 loss to Holy Family, Mower had three goals and one assist. In Tuesday’s 12-9 win over Wilmington, Mower had three goals and one assist.
Junior Ally Frymoyer (Upper Merion) recorded 13 saves in Shippensburg’s 12-10 win over Kutztown on Tuesday.
Senior Kelly Hamilton (Souderton) delivered an all-around effort in No. 2 Lock Haven’s 10-3 win over No. 18 West Chester on Saturday, contributing a pair of goals, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. The CB South grad also recorded two draw controls.
Senior Hannah Vogel (Hatboro-Horsham) scored four goals ad also had two assists in Millersville’s 14-6 win at Wilmington University on Saturday.
Carly Ball (North Penn) connected for the hat trick in No. 19 Bloomsburg’s 19-12 win over Slippery Rock on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 9-5 loss to No. 2 Lock Haven, Ball was credited with three caused turnovers on defense.
Christy Knipe (Pennridge) contributed a goal and was credited with two ground balls in Gwynedd Mercy’s 18-16 win over Centenary last Monday.
SOFTBALL
Sophomore Dominique Pinto (Council Rock North) drove in the only run with a single in the third inning of UConn’s 2-1 loss to Albany on Wednesday. In last Sunday’s 6-1 loss to No. 18 UCF, Pinto contributed a double.
Sophomore Christina Bascara (Pennsbury) was 2-for-3 with a double and home run, three RBIs and three runs scored in La Salle’s 10-5 win over St. Bonaventure in game two of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. Mackenzie Obert (Pennsbury) had a pair of hits, including a solo home run.
Julie Wambold (Hatboro-Horsham) hit a two-run home run to stake Syracuse to a 2-0 lead in the Orange’s 4-2 win in game one of a doubleheader split with North Carolina on Friday.
Freshman shortstop Koraima Dudley (Neshaminy) was 1-for-2 with an RBI and stolen base in Chestnut Hill’s 5-2 loss to Felician College on Saturday. In Thursday’s 1-0 win over Holy Family in game one of a twinbill, Dudley drew a bases-loaded walk to plate the only run of the game. In the Griffins’ 8-1 loss in game two, sophomore Ashleigh Sharp (Upper Dublin) drove in her team’s only run with an RBI triple.
Shippensburg senior Liz Parkins (Souderton) was named the PSAC Eastern Division Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 29 after playing a role in both of SU’s wins last week over West Chester. Parkins finished the day with a win and a save and allowed just two runs in 9.2 innings of work against the Golden Rams. She threw a two-hitter for the win in game one, walking two and striking out four. She entered in the fifth inning of game two and retired all eight batters she faced, striking out three, for her fourth career save. In 41.1 career innings against the Golden Rams, Parkins in now 3-4 with a 2.88 ERA, a save and 29 strikeouts. For the year, Parkins is 3-1 with a 2.02 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 34.1 innings of work.
Maria Spinosa (Hatboro-Horsham) went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored in Millersville split of Saturday’s doubleheader with Lock Haven. In Millersville’s 3-0 win in game two, Heather Lutz (Hatboro-Horsham) hit her first career home run with a solo shot to straightaway center in the deepest part of the park. In Wednesday’s 7-3 win in game two of a twinbill split with Mansfield, Spinosa was 3-for-4 with a double and home run, one RBI and three runs scored. Danielle DiFilippo (Hatboro-Horsham) contributed an RBI single, and Megan Hallock (Hatboro-Horsham) had a sacrifice fly. In last Sunday’s 4-1 win in game one of a doubleheader sweep of Shippensburg, Lutz was 2-for-3 with two RBIs while teammates Spinosa and Stephanie Kulp (North Penn) each had a hit. In Millersville’s 6-2 win in game two, Spinosa doubled and scored two runs while DeFilippo was 1-for-3 with an RBI and run scored, and Lutz was also 1-for-3.
Rachel Hyman (Upper Dublin) delivered a two-run single in Ursinus College’s 6-5 loss in eight innings to Franklin & Marshall in game one of a doubleheader last Sunday. In a 7-3 loss to F&M in game two, Hyman had a double.
West Chester third baseman Laura Altenburger (Neshaminy) was named PSAC East Player of the Week for the week ending March 29. The Neshaminy grad registered a .345 batting average and .724 slugging percentage. She finished the week by hitting two home runs and registering four RBIs in a win over East Stroudsburg. Altenburger leads the team in homers with five. She also is third on the team with 18 RBIs.
Altenburger and Sarah Derstine (Souderton) both had a pair of hits in West Chester’s 4-0 win over Kutztown in game one of a doubleheader split on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 5-0 win over Blooomsburg, Altenburger had an RBI single, and Erin Quense (Neshaminy) had a three-run double.
Emily Mayhew (Pennridge) was 2-for-4 with two runs scored in Bloomsburg’s 7-0 win over West Chester in Thursday’s doubleheader split.
Erin Maher (North Penn) and Mollie Burrell (Souderton) both contributed RBI singles in Philadelphia University’s 3-2 win over Molloy in game two of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. In Friday’s 9-4 win over Nyack in game one of a doubleheader, Maher contributed an RBI double. In Philly U’s 8-0 win in game two, Burrell was 1-for-2 with an RBI and run while Monica Levins (Norristown) was 1-for-3 with an RBI. In Wednesday’s 5-4 loss to St. Thomas Aquinas, Maher was 2-for-3 with a two-run double.
Freshman Nikki Alden (William Tennent) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored in St. Joseph’s 6-5 loss to George Mason on Saturday. In Wednesday’ 11-9 loss to Long Island Brooklyn, Alden was 2-for-3 and also absorbed the loss on the mound, allowing two runs over 2.2 innings.
Michelle Holweger (North Penn) was 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in Lock Haven’s 7-5 win in game two of a doubleheader sweep of Shippensburg on Wednesday.
Junior Haileigh Stocks (Central Bucks South) was 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored in Robert Morris University’s 9-1 win over Sacred Heart in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Monday. In last Sunday’s twinbill sweep of Mount St. Mary’s, Stocks was 4-for-6 with a walk, home run, five RBIs and two runs scored. The CB South grad posted a pair of multi-hit games on the same day for the second time in her career, moving her season total in that category to four and her career mark to 15. She posted her first three-RBI effort of the season and fourth of her career in a 7-3 win in the opening game.
Freshman Amanda Hesson (Neshaminy) had three hits in Gwynedd Mercy’s 22-2 win over Notre Dame (Md.) in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Wednesday. Junior Jessica Mower (North Penn) and sophomore Nikki Canfield (Souderton) drove in three runs each. In Gwynedd’s 7-5 win in game two, MaryKate Ballerino (Hatboro-Horsham) contributed an RBI double and scored a run. In Monday’s 8-5 win over Keystone, Ballerino had two hits and scored two runs. In last Sunday’s 8-3 win over Marywood, Canfield contributed an RBI triple.
Junior Morgan Decker (Central Bucks South) was 1-for-2 with a pair of RBIs in Lehigh’s 11-3 win over Bucknell in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. In Lehigh’s 11-2 win in game two, Decker was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and a run scored. In Wednesday’s 11-1 win over Boston University in game two of a doubleheader sweep, Decker was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.
Allison Herbert (Hatboro-Horsham) pitched the final three and two-thirds innings in King’s 6-3 loss to Oneonta in game one of a doubleheader split last Monday. She allowed one earned run on three hits with three strikeouts.
Maggie Shaffer (Hatboro-Horsham) earned the win in Guilford College’s 8-1 win over Sweet Briar, throwing a perfect fourth inning in relief in game two of Saturday’s twinbill.
Whitney DeLagol (William Tennent) hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning of Penn State Abington 13-5 loss to Penn State Berks in game one of a doubleheader Saturday. In the Nittany Lions’ 12-4 loss in game two, Nicole Battaglio (Upper Meiron) contributed a single. In last Sunday’s 16-0 win over Gallaudet, DeLagol was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a home run.
Lauren Klepchick (Central Bucks South) contributed a two-out RBI double in Rhode Island’s 14-3 loss to Harvard on Tuesday.
Sophomore Ally Horvath (Central Bucks South) had a triple and grand slam and five RBIs to propel Widener to a 6-3 win over Stevenson in game one of a twinbill sweep. Horvath also earned the win on the mound, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk in a complete-game victory.
Morgan Lewis (Council Rock North) earned the win on the mound in Susquehanna’s 6-3 win over Catholic University in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. The CR North grad scattered six hits and struck out six over her seven innings of work. Lauren Creamer (Neshaminy) delivered an RBI single. In last Sunday’s 9-1 win in game one of a doubleheader sweep of Juniata, Creamer had three hits, including a double, and three RBIs. She also had an RBI double in Susquehanna’s 3-0 win in game two.
Brooke Labs (Pennridge) was 6-for-6 with six runs scored and a pair of doubles in Marywood University’s doubleheader sweep against Notre Dame of Maryland on Thursday.
Emily Hofmann (Pennridge) went the distance and picked up her first win in her first start in IUP’s 11-2 win over Clarion in game two of a doubleheader sweep on Wednesday. The Pennridge grad allowed five hits and no earned runs.

Included in her five hits was a three-run double in the third inning in ESU's 3-0 win in game on. She was 3-for-3 in the number five spot in the order as ESU haad six hits in a 4-0 win in game two.
MEN’S TENNIS
Penn State Abington freshman Justin McNab (Cheltenham) was chosen as the NAC West Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending March 29. The freshman led the Nittany Lions to a 7-2 win over Penn State Berks after picking up victories during the team’s conference opener Sunday. McNab was part of the second doubles team that earned a 9-8 win. He then went on to sweep third singles in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.
Mohammed Ammouni (Bensalem) earned a 6-4, 6-0 win at first singles and was part of the first doubles team that won 8-2 in Penn State Abington’s 8-1 win over Penn College on Saturday. McNab won in straight sets at third singles (6-1, 6-0) and was part of the second doubles team that notched an 8-2 win. In Thursday’s 9-0 win over Bryn Athyn, McNab was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at second singles and was part of the second doubles team that earned an 8-0 win. Thomas Vessels (Abington) was part of the first doubles team that notched an 8-1 win.

Last season’s CSAC Player of the Year, Peter Brzeznski (Hatboro-Horsham) earned a 6-4, 6-4 win at first singles in Gwynedd Mercy’s 5-4 win over Cabrini on Wednesday. He also was part of the first doubles team that earned an 8-5 win.
MEN’S TRACK & FIELD
St. Joseph’s senior Matthew Garvey (Central Bucks West) was part of the fifth place 1600 sprint medley relay that finished with a time of 3:29.13 at the William & Mary 50th Annual Colonial Relays on Saturday.
Shippensburg freshman Alex Balla (Quakertown) posted a PSAC qualifying time of 32:26.63 in the 10K on Friday at the 50th Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William & Mary. Senior Dan Dreeman (Council Rock South) posted a PSAC qualifying time in the 800 meters (1:56.41).
Widener senior Jason Caporale (Neshaminy) finished second in the 5K with a time of 15:58.36 at the Muhlenberg Invitational on Saturday. Senior Michael Quinn (Plymouth Whitemarsh) posted a time of 15:23.23 to finish 44th in the 5K at the Sam Howell Distance meet held at Princeton University.
Kutztown junior Chris Varichione (Quakertown) finished first in the hammer throw with a PSAC qualifying throw of 158-0 (48.17m) at the East Stroudsburg/Bloomsburg tri-meet on Saturday. It was a career best and improved his eighth place standing in the KU record books. He also finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 41-4.5 (12.61m) and fifth in the discus with a throw of 117-10 (35.91m), a season best. Ron Smith (Neshaminy) was part of the first place 4×400 relay that posted a time of 3:29.13. Smith finished second in the 200m (23.08) and eighth in the 100m (11.41), a career best. Jhaloni Johnson (Springfield) was part of the 4×400 relay that finished third with a time of 3:35.25.
Bloomsburg’s James Wilson (Central Bucks South) finished second in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:46.71 at a tri-meet with Kutztown and East Stroudsburg on Saturday. Alex Moran (Pennridge) was part of the second place 4×100 relay that posted a time of 45.03. At last Sunday’s Jim Taylor Invitational at Susquehanna University, Wilson finished seventh in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:15.77.
East Stroudsburg sophomore Sean Hagerty (Pennridge) finished first in the long jump with a leap of 21-3 ½. Teammate Eric Conard (Souderton) was sixth in the 110m hurdles (16.26) and fourth in the discus throw (120-11).
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Shippensburg’s Lindsay Sheehan (Pennridge) posted a PSAC qualifying time in the 200m dash (25.82) on Friday at the 50th Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William & Mary. She was part of the 4×400 relay that posted a time of 3:52.71, putting the quartet atop the league performance rankings.
Temple sophomore Sydnee Jacques (North Penn) finished fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.40m on the final day of the Colonial Relays at the College of William & Mary on Saturday. On Friday, Jacques set a personal best in the 100m hurdle trials with a time o 14.79. Sophomore Megan Schneider (Hatboro-Horsham) set a personal best in the 2000m run with a time of 10:58.24.
Bloomsburg senior Kate Dodds (Upper Dublin) was named the PSAC Women’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week for the period ending March 29. Dodds started the outdoor season by setting a school record and posted an NCAA provisional time at the Raleigh Relays. The defending PSAC champion at 10,000 meters, Dodds finished 17th out of 37 in a time of 35:28.34. The time broke the Bloomsburg school record that stood since 2003 by nearly 16 seconds. The senior owns the best time in the PSAC and ranks fifth in Division II. During the indoor season she was recognized as All-Region by the USTFCCA in the mile, 3K, 5K and distance medley relay. At the PSAC Championships, she was named the Most Outstanding Athlete after winning the PSAC championship in the 3K and 5K events and finishing second in the mile. Her times in all three events were NCAA provisional times. During the 2014 cross country season, Dodds was an All-American after finishing 39th at the NCAA Division II Championship.
East Stroudsburg sophomore Kelley Anne Stuetz (Cheltenham) captured first place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:09.92 at a tri-meet with Bloomsburg and Kutztown on Saturday. She finished fourth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.11 and also was tied for sixth in the high jump with a leap of 4-11. Alexis Bell (Norristown) finished eighth in the 200m (28.20) and 10th in the 100m dash (13.31). She also was part of the second place 4×100 relay (50.26). Mary-Kate Killoran (William Tennent) was part of the fourth place 4×400 relay that posted a time of 4:43.68 and finished eighth in the 1500 meters (5:36.56).
Bloomsburg senior Tayler Harkins (North Penn) set a school record in the hammer throw with a mark of 45.96 meters (150’09”), breaking her own mark at the tri-meet with Kutztown and East Stroudsburg on Saturday. She was also second in the shot put with 12.14 meters (39’10.00”) and won the discus throw with a throw of 42.17 meters (138’04”). Alexis Rankin (Hatboro-Horsham) finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:26.70. Keelan McDonald (Central Bucks West) finished first in the 3000 meters with a time of 11:13.32. In the steeplechase, Jessica Quesenberry (Wissahickon) was second with a time of 12:18.34. Bloomsburg took top honors at the tri-meet. At the Jim Taylor Invitational at Susquehanna University last Sunday, Rankin finished second in the 400 meters with a PSAC qualifying time of 59.71. Harkins was second in the shot put with a throw of 11.93 meters (39’1.75”). At 5000 meters, McDonald was second with a time of 18:54.45.
Kutztown’s Anecia Alexaki (Upper Merion) notched her first PSAC outdoor qualifying mark of the season with her second place finish in the pole vault (10-6) at Saturday’s Bloomsburg/East Stroudsburg tri-meet. Olivia Dettore (Central Bucks West) finished fourth in the 3000m with a season-best time of 11:29.96.
Moravian sophomore Sarah Hughes (Souderton) finished sixth in the 1,500 meter run in 5:01.77 at the non-scoring Muhlenberg College Invitational Saturday. Freshman Casie Cronk (Quakertown) was the runner-up in the high jump at 1.54 meters (5-0.5). Freshman Beth Ann Davies (Quakertown) was fifth in the pole vault, clearing 2.82 meters (9-3). In last Sunday’s Lafayette College 7-Way Meet, Davies was fifth in the pole vault with a vault of 2.90 meters (9-6.25). Cronk was part of the 4×400 relay that placed eighth with a time of 4:30.52 and also tied for sixth in the high jump at 1.50 meters (4-11). Hughes finished fourth in the 3000m run (10:53.23). Lauren Suelke (Quakertown) was part of the 4×100 ‘B’ relay squad that finished sixth in 51.36.
Widener senior Amber Char (William Tennent) earned a first place finish in the pole vault with a vault of 3.12 meters (10-2.75) at the Muhlenberg Invitational on Saturday. Freshman Allison Gallagher (Souderton) finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.60.
West Chester sophomore Emily Duselier (Souderton) captured first place in the 800m run with a time of 2.22.65 at the Lafayette 7-Way Invitational last Sunday. Dusellier and Emily Magnant (Hatboro-Horsham) were part of the first place 4×400 relay team that finished in 4:01.24.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Sophomore Christian Lizana (Pennridge) had seven kills, including five in the first set, of Vassar’s 3-0 win over Bard on Wednesday.
Sophomore Michael Fehrs (Central Bucks West) contributed 11 kills and five digs while senior Scott Morantz (Neshaminy) had 19 digs in Stevenson’s 3-1 win over Thiel in the team’s regular season finale on Saturday. Stevenson will be the number two seed in next week’s CVC Championship hosted by Rutger’s Newark.
