Central Bucks South 10, Easton 4
The Titans picked up a much-needed win, bouncing back from their tough loss to Souderton in five innings on Friday to defeat Easton.
“It was a nice win for the girls,” coach Dan Hayes said. “Hopefully, it will give them some confidence and show them they can actually win a game without Maddie (Decker).”
Hayes shook up his lineup and had three players playing positions for the first time this year.
“The players weren’t new to the lineup – they were just in different positions,” Hayes said. “We have nice versatility with this group.”
The Titans scored four runs in the first and never looked back. Easton scored a single run in the third, but the Titans answered with two runs in the fourth and four more in the fifth to go on top 10-1 before Easton scored three in the sixth inning.
Offensively, the Titans were led by Hope Darreff, who was 3-for-4 with a double. She also saw her first action behind the plate this year. Taylor Marinelli, Mikaela Simons and Maddie McShane were all 2-for-4.
Emily Gillard earned her first varsity win in the circle. Alexis McConomy relieved Gillard in the fourth.

Council Rock North 4, Villa Joseph Marie 0
The Indians picked up their third win in three days with Saturday’s non-league win over the neighboring Jems. Taylor Amazeen’s two-run double in the first gave the Indians a 4-0 lead that held until the sixth when they tacked on two more runs.
Amazeen finished the day 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs and, according to coach Jess McDermott, called a great game behind the plate and made a nice catch of a foul ball for a putout.
Marisa Gergel and Haley McMenamin both contributed doubles.
McDermott also credited shortstop Sabrina Crane.
“She made five nice putouts and stole two bases to put herself in scoring position for Taylor Amazeen’s double,” the Indians’ coach said.
Third baseman Taylor Briggs also had five putouts.
Elyse McMenamin earned the win, allowing just three hits.
With the win, the Indians are 5-3 overall (3-2 SOL).
