CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0
For the second time this season, CB East squeaked out a close win over CB South.
Back on September 18, the Patriots won an overtime thriller with the Titans 1-0 off an Emma Loving direct kick. Tuesday afternoon, it was Bri Talbot’s turn.

South coach Betsy Bullock said her team played much better in the second half, but couldn’t find a answer. Kylie Walsh nearly tied late in regulation off a beautiful shot.
Katie Dolf made two saves and Kristen Obetz stopped five shots in goal for the Patriots. South’s Sophia Boggs made ten saves in net for Titans.
The matchup featured the Continental’s top two teams. The win marks Easts 13th straight win, and District One’s top team (according to newly released power rankings) stays undefeated with another big win. In the third minute, Savanna Harrison passed to Kouri Peace for the Rams first goal of the night. With 11 minutes to go in the half, Liz Cardie scored off a pass from Ashley Groeber and Peace, making it 2-0 at the half.
Katie Fischer added another Rams goal in the 75th minute with an assist from Caroline Thomson to lock up the big win for Pennridge.
Kaitlyn Moran posted the shutout in goal for the Rams.
Souderton coach Chris Felber remained optimistic after the loss.
“[In] preseason, we marked this as the toughest game, away to Pennridge,” he said. “Their speed and power plus ball control is just so hard to match, but we kept the game competitive right to the last five minutes. Their pressure resulted in goals, and we struggled to create any real chances, but I am happy that this team never gives up and looking now to the next game.”
Since that September 18 loss to Souderton, Pennridge hs yet to lose (with a couple ties thrown in). They have shot up to sixth in the District One power rankings, in front of National Conference power Neshaminy. Souderton has stumbled the past week and a half, dropping games to CB West, Quakertown and now Pennridge. The Indians sit at 19th in the district rankings.
Pennridge is now tied with CB South for second in the Continental Conference. Souderton sits four points back in fourth place.
Pennridge (8-3-2, 6-3-2 SOL) squares off with North Penn, which they tied a few weeks ago. Souderton (8-5-1, 6-3-2 SOL) will have a tough game next, taking on CB South on the road.
