COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 11, HOLY GHOST PREP 1 (5 innings)
The Indians continued their winning ways, scoring early and often en route to the non-league win over the visiting Firebirds in the abbreviated contest. They put a pair of runs on the board in the bottom of the first, and after the Firebirds scored one in the top of the second, the Indians answered with four in the bottom of the inning.
Seth Leuz was a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Tyler Nowmos was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored, and James Closser was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Jared Schram was 1-for-1 with an RBI, and leadoff batter Cavan Tully was 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Matt Hand contributed an RBI as just about everyone had a piece of the action.
CJ Kilgariff earned the win, allowing one hit and one run (unearned) in four innings. He fanned four and walked three. Joe Preciado struck out the side in a scoreless inning in relief.
Council Rock North (11-0, 6-0 SOL) will host William Tennent on Tuesday.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 8, ARCHBISHOP WOOD 5
The Golden Hawks exploded for five runs in the second and two more in the third, opening up a 7-0 lead on their way to the non-league win.
Ryan Vetter and Shaun Stackhouse had big days at the plate for the Hawks. Vetter was 3-for-4 with two runs scored while Stackhouse was 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and a run scored. Eric Jeronis doubled and drove in a pair of runs. Keith Reiser singled and had an RBI.
Nick Gallo earned the win on the mound, allowing two hits and one run in four innings of work. He struck out five and walked four.
Council Rock South (3-4, 1-4 SOL) will host Central Bucks East in a non-league contest on Monday.

NORTH PENN 5, PARKLAND 2
In a contest that saw coach Kevin Manero use 24 players, the Knights went on top 1-0 in the first, and after Parkland knotted the score with a run in the second, North Penn took the lead for good with a run in the third. Three more runs in the fourth inning secured the win.
Alex Peterson singled to lead of the top of the first and crossed the plate on the second of two Parkland errors in the frame. In the third, Jake Schuster, who doubled, scored the go-ahead run.
Highlights of the Knights’ three-run third inning included singles by Peterson and Stouffer as well as a double by Mason Nadeau.
North Penn (8-4, 4-3 SOL) will be on the road at Central Bucks South on Tuesday.
