National Conference
Council Rock South 8, Neshaminy 7 (OT)
Lightning delayed the start of the Council Rock South – Neshaminy game by 30 minutes. Later, the incredible play of Brandon Follis helped to extend the game another 10 minutes. And finally, just 80 seconds into overtime – more than two hours after the game's original start time – the star sophomore was able to send the Golden Hawks home victorious.
Follis tied the game up at 7-7 with 10 seconds remaining in regulation and then scored the game-winner in overtime, as CR South remained tied in first place in the National Conference with a come-from-behind victory over the host Redskins.
In the end, Follis had netted four goals and helped the Hawks (7-4, 4-1) to stay even with Pennsbury atop the conference going into Friday's all-important home meeting with the Falcons.
"It was a great win," CR South coach Mike Murray said. "We made quite a few mistakes during the game, but when everything was on the line, we came up big and did what we had to do to win. It's an important win. It keeps us alive and puts us in a big opportunity for when we play (Pennsbury) this Friday. That'll be another big game for us."
Neshaminy led 6-2 at the half, but a 3-0 showing by CR South in the third quarter helped the Hawks to cut the deficit to only one goal. Brendan Patterson also scored twice, while KJ Sweeney and Peter Mignacca each scored once to help CR South to come from behind and force overtime.
"Our guys came up big today," Murray said. "We got great face-off ability from Patterson and we got Brandon the ball at the end of the game. He's a great finisher, and I'm really happy for him. He's young and just getting better every week. I told (Follis) before the game that he'd have to push the net for us to win, and he did it. He took the ball to the cage hard all game."
Adam Reifer stood tall in net for CR south and earned the win. The Redskins fell to 5-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play with the loss.

Pennsbury 7, Council Rock North 4
While it was a night to celebrate the seniors, it was a junior who came up huge for Pennsbury.
The Falcons received five goals from Ryan Kelly in the important victory over visiting Council Rock North on Senior Night at Pennsbury High School.
The win keeps Pennsbury in a first-place tie with Council Rock South, with a meeting between the two teams coming this Friday at 3:30 at Council Rock South High School in a game which will leave one team all alone atop the conference.
"Obviously, every Suburban One game is big, especially at this point," Pennsbury coach Drew Artin said. "Ever since we beat CR South earlier in the season, I knew it was going to be an even bigger game next time regardless of where we were ranked, but we're looking forward to it.
"The guys played really well today. I'm really happy with them. They came off two tough losses, but found a way to finish a game strong and have some fun."
The Falcons (6-4, 4-1) saw excellent play on defense from seniors Austin Sears and Dave Rendeiro, while senior Jack Kelly, brother of Ryan, played excellent in net to earn the win. The Falcons received single goals from Hunter Lake and Greg Lichtenstein. Tre Raniello had a pair of assists while Lake, Ryan Michael and Luke Vando each had one assist.
"We really worked well as a team," Artin said. "The guys really helped each other out and it was a team effort all the way around. We had a will to finish that game with a 'W' and what better way to win a game than on Senior Night, under the lights and in the football stadium."
Three players – Lake, Rendeiro and Brian Doron – finished with four ground balls while Lichtenstein had three and Sears had two. Michael and Vando each had one ground ball.
