National Conference
NESHAMINY 10, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (5 innings)
The Redskins clinched at least a share of the conference title with their no-doubt-about-it win in an abbreviated contest.
“This was an important game for us coming off a less than satisfying week and versus a team that always plays us tough,” coach Dave Chichilitti said. “Today was our Senior Day, so we came out and played hard for all five seniors – who all started and gave great contributions.
“We really hit the ball hard today. We strung together hits, which we haven’t done.”
The Redskins plated a pair or runs in the first inning and never looked back, blowing the game wide open with a four-run third and adding four more runs in the fourth.
Devan Masciulli was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored, and Rebecca Dixon was 2-for-3 with an RBI double.
“It was a total team effort for the seniors today,” Chichilitti said.
Sarah Dowalo earned the win, allowing two hits and striking out six in three innings. Amber Brugger earned the save with two scoreless innings in relief. She allowed two hits and fanned a pair.
Neshaminy (15-2, 12-1 SOL) will be on the road at William Tennent on Wednesday, and Council Rock South (10-6, 7-5) will travel to Bensalem on Wednesday.

ABINGTON 14, HARRY S TRUMAN 7
The Ghosts celebrated Senior Night with a big win over the visiting Tigers. The fun started early for the Ghosts, who scored three runs in the first on back-to-back home runs.
First it was Nikki Ray hitting a two-run blast, and Olivia Bernstein followed with a solo shot, and the Ghosts were just getting started.
After the Tigers plated a single run in the top of the second, the Ghosts tacked on three more runs in their half of the inning. Toni Washington singled and stole second, scoring the Ghosts’ fourth run on an RBI single by Ray. Jade Sowell’s two-run double put the Ghosts on top 6-1.
The Tigers made things interesting with two runs in the third and three more in the fourth to pull to within one (7-6), but the Ghosts put the game out of reach with a seven-run fourth. Highlights of the inning included a two-run single by Julie Downs, Jamie Gosselin’s two-run single as well another RBI from Ray. A pair of runs crossed the plate on wild pitches.

QUAKERTOWN 9, PENNRIDGE 8
With a share of the conference crown at stake, the Panthers found themselves staring at an 8-5 deficit heading into the sixth inning of Tuesday’s game at Druckenmiller Park.
Things didn’t look promising, but the Panthers rallied.
With one out, Tara Baglivo legged out an infield single, and Meghan Klee followed with a single. Lauren Beal was safe on an error, allowing a run to cross the plate. Klee scored on a passed ball, and the tying run came home on a dropped third strike. Hilary Scott delivered an RBI double to plate the go-ahead run that turned out to be the game winner.
“I told the girls after the game how proud I was that they kept fighting and fighting,” coach Rich Scott said. “It was a big game for Pennridge. It was their Senior Night, so they were pumped.
“It was just an awesome win for the girls.”
The Lady Rams didn’t go down quietly, and with the tying run on third and two outs in the seventh, Klee – playing second base – delivered a game-saving defensive play.
“She made a great play going to her right and backhanded the ball and threw the girl out at first,” Scott said. “It wasn’t easy.
“After that last out, the girls all rushed the circle. They were all in tears with excitement and joy. It was just fun to see them finally get what we have been working so hard for all season and for a couple of years. It was exciting to see how overjoyed they were.”
The title is the first for the program since 1989.
Spenser Gray led the Panthers’ 13-hit attack, finishing 4-for-5 with a run scored. Baglivo was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs. Klee was 2-for-3 with a run scored. Beal – who doubled – had two RBIs and scored a run. Scott had a productive day, going 2-for-4 with a double, home run, two RBIs and a run scored. Madison Moyer also had an RBI.
For the Rams, Krista Yerk was 2-for-4 with a double and run scored. Kendall O’Shea was 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs. Meghan Bauer doubled and drove in a pair of runs.
Alyssa Wilkinson earned the win, allowing six hits and six runs (three earned) in six innings. Bauer absorbed the loss.
Quakertown closed out its conference season 10-4 (14-5 overall). Pennridge (5-13, 2-12) will host Neshaminy in a non-league game Wednesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 7, SOUDERTON 1
A share of first place was on the line when the Indians travelled to East.
The Patriots took the suspense out of Tuesday’s showdown in a hurry, scoring three runs in the first inning. In most cases, that isn’t an insurmountable lead, but against an East squad that had given up more than three runs just three times in 18 games, it must have felt like 10 to the Indians, who managed just four hits off the duo of Theresa Haug and Kayla Ventura.
In the pivotal first, Hailey Aspinwall led off with a single, and she moved up to second on Tara Harper’s sacrifice. Audrey LaBouliere followed with an RBI single. Brady Tillotson’s triple plated another run and put the Patriots on top 2-0, and that lead grew to three when Haug helped her own cause with an RBI single.
A share of the championship was all but in the bag for the Patriots, but for good measure, they tacked on two more runs in the fourth when Aspinwall ripped a two-run triple. In the fifth, Ventura delivered a two-run triple for the 7-1 final.
Aspinwall (2-for-4, triple, two RBIs, one run) and Ventura (2-for-3, triple) were the only players for either side with multiple hits.
Haug earned the win in the circle, allowing three hits and one run (unearned) while fanning three and walking none in four innings. Ventura allowed one hit in three scoreless innings, fanning four and walking none.
Central Bucks East (14-5, 10-4 SOL) will be on the road at Christopher Dock for a non-league game Wednesday, and Souderton (11-6, 9-5) will host Christopher Dock on Thursday at 4 p.m.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 8, NORTH PENN 2
By Kyle Morhardt for Suburbanonesports.com
The Hatboro-Horsham Hatters survived a minor fender bender on their trip to face league opponents North Penn in an important clash. The Hatters had six hits in the first with RBIs coming from Brynn Grifith, Kyleigh Dineen and Kaeli Simmons.
The game went scoreless for three innings until North Penn fought back with two in the bottom of the fourth. The Hatters answered right back with two of their own in the top of the fifth. Hatboro-Horsham closed out the game with a final run in the top of the seventh to win the game 8-2.
Kaeli Simmons started in the circle for the Hatters, pitching four innings and tallying up four strikeouts before being replaced by Taylor Sciubba, who closed out the game with three scoreless innings in relief. Bri Battavio threw a complete game for North Penn today having a strikeout of her own.
The Hatters were led offensively by Deanna Moyer, who went 3-for-4 with two RBIs as well as a run, and Kylie Flagler, who recorded a 2-for-3 outing that included a double, RBI and three runs. Rachel Carney was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
For the Maidens Courtney Neal (2-for-4), Kariam Bou 2-for-4, Elia Namey (2-for-4, double, one run) and Brittney Moyer (2-for-3, double, RBI, one run) all had multiple hits.

CHELTENHAM 5, WISSAHICKON 3
The Lady Panthers picked up their second win in as many days Tuesday, rallying from an early 3-0 deficit to earn the come-from-behind win.
“High drama,” coach Ron Perlstein said. “It was a great Senior Day.”
The visiting Trojans scored two runs in the first and one in the top of the fifth, but the Lady Panthers answered with three in the bottom of the fifth to knot the score.
Izzy Picone’s two-run triple plated a pair, and she crossed the plate with the tying run when Madison Gianelle delivered an RBI double. For Picone, it capped a tough 24-hour stretch.
“Yesterday it was blustery, and we were hitting during pregame – she got hit on the bridge of her nose with a ball and had to get three stiches,” Perlstein said. “She missed yesterday, and she came back today and had a black eye.
“In the first inning, she got hit in the back with a pitch. In the fourth inning, I sent her home from second, and she was out in a big pile-up at the plate and gets beat up. Then she ends up being the hero in the fifth inning, slamming a triple to right field.”
The Panthers scored two runs in the sixth on a bloop single to center field by Marissa Custer. That 5-3 lead held the rest of the way.
Megan Smajda picked up the win, allowing four hits and one run in five innings. Veata Blair-Kraybill threw the first two innings.
Sophomore catcher Erin Kuhler had a big defensive day behind the plate, gunning down three runners on the base paths.
“Today she was one gunslinger,” Perlstein said. “She was on fire today. She looked great. She does something amazing every single game.”
Gianelle was 2-for-2 with two doubles.
Cheltenham (7-12, 5-9 SOL) will close out its season on Wednesday when the Lady Panthers host Springfield Township. Wissahickon (2-14, 2-11) will host St. Basil Academy in a non-league game on Wednesday.

The Vikings celebrated Senior Night by wrapping up a perfect SOL season, and appropriately, all eight seniors have played a major role in the success of the program.
The list of seniors is an impressive one – Olivia Sborlini, Micaela Ghanayem, Dez Kandy, Abby Volpe, Allie Moffett, Nicole Kowalski, Riley Kontra and Bridget Vilari.
“The big surprise this year was Bridget Vilari,” coach John Whitney said. “She came back this year and has had a really good attitude and been a really good ball player.”
The Golden Bears jumped out to a 2-0 lead when Amber O’Connor roped a two-run home run over the fence in the top of the first.
“She ripped a shot,” Whitney said. “We made an error, and the kid hit a homer. It was a rip.”
The Vikings answered with three runs in the bottom of the first when Abby Volpe hit a three-run blast to center field that fans will be talking about for a long time to come.
“She hit a ball that got out of the stadium so fast,” Whitney said. “I never saw a ball go out that fast.
“It was one of those line drive shots that was rising. We’re trying to find the ball. It’s in the woods. It was the shot of the night.”
The Vikings added single runs in the second and third and two runs in the fourth while the Golden Bears tacked on a single run in the third.
Volpe finished the game 2-for-4 with four RBIs, and Sblorlini was 2-for-3 with a double. Kandy was 1-for-2 with two runs scored.
In addition to O’Connor, Alison Creighton was 2-for-3 with one RBI for the Bears.
Sblorlini earned the win in the circle, allowing three runs (one earned). Nicole Kowalksi threw two scoreless innings to close it out.
Upper Merion closed out league play with a 14-0 mark. The Vikings are 17-2 and may add a game prior to next week’s district playoffs. Upper Moreland (12-4, 9-4 SOL) will host Upper Dublin on Wednesday.
