The Tigers rolled to a win over the Bulldogs, capturing the title of the Chic D’Angelo Coaches vs. Cancer Tourney at Bristol High School on Saturday. The Tigers jumped out of the gate to a 28-6 lead after one quarter and upped their lead to 40-13 at the intermission on their way to the rout.
Senior Jayda Campbell led a balanced attack with 13 points to go along with four steals. Sabria Lytes turned in an impressive double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds. Briana Cliney added nine points, 14 rebounds (five offensive) and four steals. Senior Daeja Moore had an unusual double-double as she filled the stat sheet with 11 points and 10 steals to go along with six rebounds and four assists. Sophomore Alexis McCoy also had 11 points, and sophomore Roneisha James had six rebounds.
Harry S Truman (3-0) will open its conference season on the road at Council Rock South on Tuesday.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 57, HAVERFORD 49
The Colonials – less than 24 hours removed from a hard-fought win at Wissahickon – turned in a strong performance in their non-league win over the Fords. PW led 11-7 after one quarter and took a 23-13 lead into halftime. The Colonials outscored the Fords 18-13 in the third quarter on their way to the win.
“It was a great team win, bouncing back from a physical game on Friday,” coach Daniel Dougherty said.
On the heels of a 23-point effort in the win over Wissahickon, Taylor O’Brien scored 20 points against the Fords. Lauren Fortescue added 12 points, and Laurel Suchsland – who buried three three-pointers – contributed 10 points. Ali Diamond chipped in with seven.
“O’Brien was outstanding,” Dougherty said. “Laurel Suchsland’s three’s were crucial, and Lauren Fortescue’s hustle plays kept us in the lead when things got tight.”
Plymouth Whitemarsh (3-0, 1-0 SOL) will host Springfield on Tuesday.

The Indians delivered a standout defensive effort, limiting the Magic to single digits in every quarter. The Indians led 12-9 after one quarter and took a 24-15 lead into halftime. They outscored the Magic 25-12 in the second half, closing out the game with a 17-8 fourth quarter.
“We played much better today than last night,” coach Lou Palkovics said in reference to his team’s win over Council Rock South on Friday. “Our defensive intensity was at a very high level.”
Becca Margolis led the Indians both offensively and defensively, finishing with a team-high 13 points to go along with four steals and one blocked shot.
“Becca Margolis had her best game of the year,” Palkovics said. “We still need to get better offensively, but I am very happy with the defense right now.”
Dana Bandurick added 10 points, four blocked shots and two steals, and Emily Mackin had nine points. Mackenzie Tinner and Megan Haggerty both contributed six points. Haggerty, who had a pair of three’s, also had a blocked shot and a steal while Tinner had a steal and four blocked shots in a contest that saw the Indians block nine shots. Also contributing steals were Kaelin Mealey, Mackin, Olivia Boyle and Hannah Weiler.
The Indians were strong under the boards with 34 rebounds – 13 offensive.
Council Rock North (3-1, 1-0 SOL) will host Bensalem on Tuesday.

Quakertown led for the better part of Saturday night’s non-league contest only to watch the Trojans, who trailed by six heading into the final quarter, close out the game with a 15-4 fourth-quarter tear, forcing the Panthers to absorb the heartbreaking loss.
The Panthers led 15-11 after one quarter. They took a 24-16 lead into halftime and appeared to be in command. They still led 32-26 heading into the fourth quarter when the Trojans rallied.
Marina Cooke led the Panthers with 12 points, and Maggie Garlick had 10. Jill Martin contributed eight.
Just four players scored for the Trojans, led by Ebony Reddick with 20 points.
Quakertown (1-2) will host Hatboro-Horsham in its conference opener on Tuesday.
