BASEBALL
Matt Reinert (Souderton) was 3-for-6 with an RBI and two runs scored to lead Wilkes University to a 13-6 win in game one of a doubleheader sweep of King’s College on Saturday.
Jared Melone (North Penn) had two hits and two RBIs and Justin Horn (Upper Dublin) also had a pair of hits in No. 25 West Chester’s 5-4 win over Shippensburg in game one of a twinbill sweep Saturday. Jon Fisher (Plymouth Whitemarsh) threw two scoreless innings in relief to earn the win. He fanned four and did not walk a batter. In the Rams’ 7-6 win in nine innings in game two, Horn was 3-for-5 with a double, RBI and run scored and Melone was 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs. In Thursday’s 6-5 loss to Shippensburg in game one of a doubleheader split, Melone was 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and one run. Horn was 2-for-4 with two runs scored out of the leadoff spot. In West Chester’s 16-2 win in game two, Melone and Horn both had two hits. In last Saturday’s 4-3 win over East Stroudsburg in game one of a twinbill sweep, Melone went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run. In West Chester’s 13-3 win over Chestnut Hill, Melone was 3-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored.
Brennan Snyder (Central Bucks West) was 1-for-2 with a home run, two RBIs and one run scored in Elizabethtown’s 9-4 loss to 24th-ranked Catholic University in game one of Friday’s twinbill split. It was the West graduate’s third home run in as many games. In the Blue Jays’ 18-4 win in game two, Snyder was 4-for-5 with two doubles, three RBIs and three runs scored. Mike Christy (North Penn) contributed a hit, RBI and three runs scored. In Thursday’s 9-7 win over Immaculata, Snyder cranked a solo home run. Anthony Cameron (North Penn) was called upon to get the final two outs of the ninth inning with a pair of runners in scoring position and the go-ahead run at the plate. Cameron got a swinging strikeout for the second out of the inning and induced a fly out to center to end the game, registering his first save of the season. In Elizabethtown’s 16-12 loss to Swarthmore, Snyder smacked a two-run triple and also had a two-run home run to deep center in a four-run ninth on his way to career highs of four hits and six RBIs. In the Blue Jays’ 10-3 win over Moravian, Christy had a pair of hits, one RBI and one run scored.
Freshman Brett Moyer (Souderton) was 3-for-4 in Arcadia’s 17-8 win over Alvernia on Saturday. Matt Ernst (Central Bucks East) was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored, and Nick Ponente (Council Rock South) contributed an RBI. In Friday’s 4-2 win in game one of a twinbill sweep of Alvernia, Ponente was 1-for-1 with an RBI and Ernst was 1-for-3 with an RBI. In Arcadia’s 8-7 win over Messiah, Moyer was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Andrew Mayhew (Pennridge) allowed one run on four hits and three walks over three innings in his first career start in Millersville’s 7-6 win over Shippensburg on Wednesday in game one of a twinbill sweep.
Freshman Ian Kacergis (Pennridge) tossed a four-hit complete game shutout in DeSales University’s 7-0 win over Manhattanville in game two of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. The Pennridge graduate struck out three and only allowed six base runners. Only two reached second base in the game. In last Saturday’s 10-1 over Eastern in game two of a twinbill sweep, Kacergis earned the win, allowing seven hits and one run in four innings while striking out five.
Mason Nadeau (North Penn) hit a solo home run in Penn State’s 17-2 loss to Minnesota on Saturday.
Freshman Andrew Dietz (Central Bucks South) was 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs in Chestnut Hill’s 20-6 win over Caldwell in game two of a twinbill split Saturday. Patrick Kelley (Central Bucks West) earned the win with 3.1 innings relief. In Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Goldey-Beacom in game one of a twinbill split, Dietz drove home the game winner with a pinch hit double in the seventh inning. In last Saturday’s doubleheader sweep of the University of the Sciences, Dietz drove home the game-winning runs in both 5-3 finals. He plated the game winner in game one with a seventh inning pinch double and the game two winner with a two-run single in the sixth to left field. Dietz was 3-for-5 with three RBIs in the twinbill, helping Billy Bethel (Pennsbury) earn the first two wins of his collegiate career. Bethel threw three scoreless innings in relief in the first game and two scoreless innings in the second game.
Ricky Dennis (Central Bucks South) threw six effective innings in Monmouth’s 4-2 win over Canisius last Friday. It was his first home win since May 20, 2016.
Ryan McCarty (Pennsbury) hit a grand slam in Penn State Abington’s 19-9 win over Lancaster Bible on Friday. He finished the game 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and four runs scored. Brett Guaglionona (Abington) was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored, and Kyle Marshall (Pennsbury) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs. In the Nittany Lions’ 14-3 win over Muhlenberg, McCarty was 2-for-3 with two triples, four RBIs and one run.
Anthony Rigous (Council Rock North) hit a two-run home run in IUP’s 6-3 loss at Gannon on Saturday. In Friday’s 15-6 loss to Gannon in game two of a doubleheader split, Rigous had a two-run single.
Kadar Namay (North Penn) hit a two-run home run in St. Joseph’s 12-3 win over La Salle. In St. Joe’s 5-1 win over La Salle, Namey hit a solo home run to put the Hawks on top 4-0.
Josh Kim (Council Rock South) singled and scored a run in Villanova’s 8-2 loss to St. John’s on Saturday. In Villanova’s 6-4 win over Bucknell, a single by Kim led a seventh inning rally.
Freshman Colin Kennedy (Hatboro-Horsham) earned his first career win on the mound to power La Salle to its first Atlantic 10 Conference win of the season at home last Saturday. The Hatboro-Horsham graduate gave up just two runs along with eight hits over six innings, striking out five.
David Drea (Central Bucks South) tossed a five-hitter for his first career nine-inning shutout – and third career complete game – to continue his multi-year mastery of Haverford and lead Ursinus College to a 2-0 shutout of the Fords on Friday. In Thursday’s 5-1 loss to Haverford, Carter Usowski (Central Bucks East) hit an RBI double. In the Bears’ 17-12 loss to Dickinson, Usowski was 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs, and freshman Jerry Scavone (Neshaminy) posted two hits. In the Bears’ 13-12 walk-off win over Gwynedd Mercy, Usowski drove in three runs, including the game winner in the bottom of the ninth. In the Bears’ 8-2 win over Immaculata, Usowski had two hits. Scavone contributed an RBI single and scored a run.
Gwynedd Mercy junior Dave Tatoian (Pennridge) was named to the Colonial State Athletic Conference Honor Roll for the week ending March 25. In two games, Tatoian went 4-for-9 with three RBIs, three runs scored, a double, triple and home run. At Haverford, he was 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a triple. He also scored twice. In Gwynedd’s win at Salisbury, Tatoian was 2-for-4 with a double, stolen base, RBI and run scored. Through 10 games Tatoian was batting .294 with eight runs, seven RBIs, three doubles, two triples and a homer.
Gwynedd Mercy senior Shaughn Wright (Pennsbury) was named Colonial States Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week. The Pennsbury grad went 6-for-7 in two games (.857) with a double and four RBIs. He also collected his 100th career hit. Tatoian was selected to the CSAC Honor Roll after picking up a win in relief against Alvernia. In 1.2 innings, he allowed just three hits and got out of a jam in the seventh on a fielder’s choice play at the plate.
Nick Mulvey (Bensalem) was 1-for-3 with a triple, RBI and run scored in Gwynedd Mercy’s 12-1 win over Centenary in game one of a twinbill sweep Saturday. In Gwynedd’s win in game two by an identical 12-1 score, a three-run home run by Wright broke a 1-1 tie. Mulvey was 2-for-3 with a double and home run, three RBIs and three runs. Evan Miller (Harry S Truman) hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning. In Gwynedd’s 13-12 walk-off win at Ursinus, Wright was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, two runs, a double and stolen base. He also notched the 100th career hit. Miller went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. In Gwynedd’s 7-6 win over Alvernia, Tatoian recorded his 100th career RBI and earned a victory in relief on the mound. Wright had three hits and an RBI.
Bloomsburg sophomore outfielder Cole Swiger (Upper Dublin) was named the PSAC Eastern Division Co-Player of the Week for the week ending April 1. The UD graduate went 10-for-15 (.667) at the plate with six runs scored, one home run and three RBIs during Bloomsburg’s four-game series against Shippensburg. Swiger posted an on-base percentage of .667 and had a 1.000 slugging percentage as the leadoff man. He had at least one hit and scored at least one run in all four games. In Bloomsburg’s 8-0 win over the Raiders, he was 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored. In Saturday’s 5-4 win, Swiger went 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs and then went 2-for-4 with a run in a 4-1 loss during the DH split. Through April 1, Swiger led the Huskies with a .423 average (30-of-71) with two home runs and 11 RBIs. He led the team in hits (30), doubles (9), triples (1) and slugging percentage (.662).
Swiger was 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs in Bloomsburg’s 13-11 win over East Stroudsburg in game two of a doubleheader sweep on Sunday.
CJ Kilgarriff (Council Rock North) struck out one in a one-two-three ninth inning to earn the save in Jefferson University’s 3-0 win over Goldey-Beacom in game one of a doubleheader split Friday. In last Saturday’s 4-3 win over Felician in game two of a doubleheader split, junior Timothy Brodhag (William Tennent) hit the game-winning single to give the Rams the walk-off win. In Jefferson’s 5-2 loss to Wilmington, Jake Goldberg (Pennsbury) threw two scoreless innings in relief.
Dylan Morrissette (Souderton) had a hit in each game in Widener’s split with Messiah (4-6, 7-3) on Saturday. In Friday’s 14-7 win over Messiah, Morrissette had three hits and two RBIs. In last Saturday’s 4-2 win over Lebanon Valley in game two of a doubleheader split, Sean Maniatis (Pennsbury) threw a scoreless inning in relief.
FIELD HOCKEY
Sacred Heart freshman Emily Alexis (Neshaminy) and James Madison junior Casey O’Donnell (North Penn) were named NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction while Kutztown senior Courtney Konowal (Plymouth Whitemarsh), West Chester junior Marissa Elizardo (North Penn) and Bentley University junior Francesca Tossona (North Penn) were named NFHCA Division II Scholars of Distinction. NFHCA Scholars of Distinction recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
MEN’S GOLF
Freshman Dawson Anders (Souderton) shot a one-under 70 on Saturday to lead Temple to a sixth place finish at the 12-team Princeton Invitational. Anders shot a 146 for the two-day event to finish in a tie for 23rd place. As a team, the Owls were nine strokes better than the previous day, compiling an even-par 284 at the 6,415-yard, par-71 Springdale Golf Club. In last Saturday’s Cornell Spring Invitational in Jupiter, Fla., Anders carded a 79, tying for the second best round for Temple. Anders finished in a tie for 10th with a 16-over 160.
Cabrini senior Clay Anders (Souderton) tied for 15th after shooting an 81 at the Elizabethtown College Blue Jay Classic on Thursday. In Tuesday’s Dickinson College Invitational, Anders shot a 78 eight to finish in a fourth place tie.
Embry-Riddle sophomore Quinn Guzman (Souderton) shot a 229 (81-77-71) after shooting a team low 71 on the final day of The Battle at the Shores hosted by Barry University in Miami Beach, Fla. The Eagles finished with a total score of 895 (299-297-299), good enough for 11th place in a field of 18 teams.
Shane Nocito (Harry S Truman) finished tied for second with an 89 in Penn State Abington’s 384-401 win over Bryn Athyn on Thursday. In last Saturday’s Arcadia Invitational, Nocito finished 25th overall with a score of 84.
Freshman David Kim (Upper Dublin) shot a team-best 77 to lead La Salle on the final day of the Manor Intercollegiate last Saturday. Kim’s total was one better than the prior best round by a La Salle golfer for the tournament and moved the first-year Explorer into a tie for 38th overall. Kim carded a 78 in Friday’s opening round.
Senior Lenny Welch (Souderton) led Widener at the Blue Jay Classic on Thursday, posting an 84 for the round and tying for 27th in a field of 103. In last Saturday’s Scotland Run Shootout hosted by Arcadia, Welch led Widener, tying for 16th in the 72-golfer field, shooting an 82 on the par 71 course.
WOMEN’S GOLF
West Chester junior Juliarose Genuardi (North Penn) tied for second with an 83 at the Kutztown Spring Invitational on Sunday. West Chester won the team title for the second straight year.
MEN’S LACROSSE
Junior goaltender Riley White (Plymouth Whitemarsh) paired nine saves with three ground balls in No. 5 Cabrini’s 9-8 loss at No. 11 Salisbury on Saturday. In Thursday’s 23-4 victory at Rosemont College, freshman Brian Hood (Hatboro-Horsham) went 5-for-7 at the X with four ground balls. In Cabrini’s 24-8 win over Neumann University, White recorded two saves in the first half to earn the victory. In Cabrini’s 20-8 win over Hampden-Sydney College, White anchored the defense with 10 saves in his 55 minutes of action.
Sophomore Michael Sowers (Upper Dublin) tied a career high with a nine-point effort that included four goals and five assists in Princeton’s 16-8 win over Stony Brook on Saturday. The Upper Dublin graduate leads Division I in assists per game, and he now has 54 points in nine games this year. Sowers has played 24 career games and has nine points in four of them. He is the only Princeton men’s lacrosse player ever with four career games of at least nine points. In last Saturday’s 14-13 loss to Brown, Sowers tied a career high with six assists, including two that gave Princeton a lead late in the game. The UD graduate had an eight-point game with two goals and six assists. Both goals and four assists came in the second half. With his six assists, he moved into 12th place all-time at Princeton in career assists with 72 and is tied for 24th in points with 127. He has 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists) in three games against Brown.
Sean Fechter (Pennridge) had one goal and three assists and Kyle Fanelli (Pennridge) added a single goal in Eastern University’s 15-9 win at Delaware Valley University on Friday. In Eastern’s 10-5 non-league win at St. Mary’s College, Fechter had three goals and one assist and Fanelli scored his first goal of the year.
Sophomore Evan Scott (Upper Dublin) scored a goal early in the second half of Ursinus College’s 10-7 win over McDaniel on Friday.

Anthony Paone (Central Bucks South) won 13-of-15 face-offs in Widener’s 18-2 win over Hood on Friday. In Wednesday’s 17-10 win over Arcadia, John Petriccione (Abington) had a goal and an assist.
WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Kate Ziegler (Pennridge) contributed four goals and three assists for a career-high seven points in Elizabethtown’s 18-4 win over Goucher. Abby Kopytko (Council Rock North) had four saves in one half of action to move to 6-4 on the season in goal. In Elizabethtown’s 13-9 loss to Lebanon Valley, Ziegler converted back-to-back free positions into goals. Kopytko recorded 11 saves.
Junior Amber Lambeth (Souderton) connected for a hat trick, the sixth of her career, in Temple’s 16-7 loss to UConn on Saturday. In Thursday’s 15-3 loss at No. 7 Florida, Lambeth and Jen Rodzewich (Pennridge) both scored a goal.
Mikki Raymond (Abington) scored twice in La Salle’s 16-13 win over George Washington on Friday. In last Saturday’s 12-11 loss to George Mason, Raymond had a pair of goals and freshman Maggie Dachowski (Pennridge) added a single goal. In La Salle’s 14-10 loss to Davidson, Raymond scored three times while Dachowski added a single goal.
Victoria Braeunle (North Penn) scored three goals and also had seven draw controls in Gwynedd Mercy’s 23-10 loss to Cabrini on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 20-1 win over Cedar Crest, Braeunle scored three goals. In Gwynedd’s 20-2 victory over Centenary, Braeunle had a hat trick, and Jamie McCarney (William Tennent) had three ground balls.
Senior midfielder Chessie Rahmer (Souderton) had two goals in No. 20 East Stroudsburg’s 14-10 win over No. 21 IUP on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 17-12 win over No. 24 Lock Haven, Rahmer had two goals and two assists.
West Chester freshman Maggie Stella (Central Bucks East) was named PSAC Co-Athlete of the Week for women’s lacrosse. Stella had a huge week as she helped West Chester overcome two ranked PSAC opponents in East Stroudsburg and Mercyhurst. In the Rams’ 14-7 win over ESU, Stella accounted for three goals and one assist and also had one ground ball, seven draw controls and two caused turnovers to help give coach Ginny (Armstrong) Martino (Souderton) her 300th career victory. In the Rams’ 11-10 win over Mercyhurst, Stella recorded her fifth hat trick and added an assist. She also had four draw controls, one ground ball and one caused turnover.
Stella scored a pair of goals and assisted on another in No. 12 West Chester’s 20-3 win over Gannon on Saturday. In Thursday’s 14-5 win over Kutztown, Emily Schulze (North Penn) registered a hat trick and Stella scored a pair of early goals.
Kara Imes (North Penn) finished with a goal and an assist to go with four ground balls and two caused turnovers in Delaware Valley University’s 19-12 win over Immaculata University on Monday. The North Penn grad also had eight draw controls.
Keystone College senior midfielder/attacker Emily Hawkins (Cheltenham) was named to the Colonial States
Athletic Conference’s Honor Roll for the week ending April first. The Cheltenham graduate scored seven goals and assisted on three others in two games for the Giants on the week. Hawkins opened the week with two goals, two assists, a ground ball and caused turnover in Keystone’s 19-7 loss to Neumann University. Two days later, she scored five goals and assisted on another in an 18-12 win over Lancaster Bible College. She also finished with eight draw controls. Hawkins is the Giants’ all-time leader in total points (168), goals (128) and assists (40).
Hawkins had seven goals and two assists in Keystone College’s 20-0 victory over Centenary University on Saturday.
Riley Greenleaf (Springfield Township) scored two goals and Betty Wesney (Central Bucks East) had one in No. 21 IUP’s 16-5 win over Edinboro on Tuesday. In IUP’s 16-15 loss to Slippery Rock, Greenleaf scored a pair.
Makayla Bowman (North Penn) netted four goals, all in the first half, and added three assists in Kutztown’s 18-9 victory over Edinboro on Saturday. The North Penn grad registered her 100th career point in the game. In Tuesday’s 17-10 win over Bloomsburg, Bowman netted two goals and also had a team-high three assists. In last Saturday’s 14-8 road victory at Gannon, Bowman scored twice.

Freshman attacker Sam McGee (Abington) scored two goals in St. Joseph’s 16-7 loss to Richmond on Friday. In last Saturday’s 18-7 win over VCU, McGee had four goals and one assist, and junior attacker Francesca Donato (Neshaminy) contributed one goal and one assist. In St. Joe’s 23-13 loss to UMass, Donato had two goals and McGee chipped in an assist.
Senior Samantha Ryder (Pennridge) scored a game-high five goals in Jefferson University’s 16-10 win over Wilmington on Wednesday. In last Saturday’s 17-6 win over Queens, Ryder notched four goals. In Jefferson’s 18-11 win over Chestnut Hill, Ryder scored four goals and assisted on another.
Junior Kyra Shank (Souderton) notched her first hat trick of the season and third of her career in Shippensburg’s 12-7 win over Seton Hill on Saturday. Senior Allison Fugate (Pennridge) twice converted on free position attempts. Freshman goalkeeper KiKi Brasher (Abington) made eight saves and did not allow a goal on a free position attempt. In the Raiders’ 11-10 win in overtime over Georgian Court, Fugate scored a golden goal at the 1:40 mark of overtime. She finished with a pair of goals. Brasher, who has had a save percentage of .500 or better in every game, had 10 saves and four ground balls. In Shippensburg’s 17-12 win over Kutztown, Fugate had a goal and two assists and Shank added an assist. Brasher totaled 14 saves.
SOFTBALL
Senior Nikki Alden (William Tennent) was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored in Villanova’s 8-5 win over St. John’s on Saturday. In Friday’s 11-9 loss to St. John’s, Alden was 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and a run scored. In Villanova’s rain-shortened 8-8 tie with Drexel, Alden was 1-for-2 with a home run, RBI and run. In Villanova’s 13-5 win over Delaware State in game two of a twinbill sweep, Alden was 3-for-3 with a double, triple, three RBIs and two runs.
Junior Katelynn Reiss (Bensalem) contributed a sacrifice fly in Rosemont’s 2-1 win over Rosemont in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Friday. In Rosemont’s 8-0 win in game two, Reiss had a pair of hits. In Wednesday’s 9-1 win in game one of a twinbill sweep over Notre Dame (MD), Reiss was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with one RBI.
Erin Maher (North Penn) was 2-for-3 in Jefferson University’s 2-0 win over Bloomfield in game two of a doubleheader sweep on Friday. In game one’s 8-2 win over Bloomfield, Jovanna Alfonsi (North Penn) delivered an RBI single.
Junior Marissa Alpaugh (Pennsbury) and senior Victoria Hall (Bensalem) both hit RBI doubles in a six-run uprising in Cabrini’s 15-1 win over Clarks Summit University in game one of a doubleheader sweep Saturday. Hall finished the game 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs, and Alpaugh was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and three runs scored. In Cabrini’s 15-0 win in game two, Alpaugh was 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, four RBIs and three runs scored. In Cabrini’s 7-4 win over Keystone in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Thursday, Hall had a pair of RBIs. In Cabrini’s 11-6 win in game two, Alpaugh was 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored. In Cabrini’s 2-1 win over TCNJ in game one of a twinbill split, Alpaugh delivered a two-run home run.
Sophomore Meghan Klee (Quakertown) reached base five times in Shippensburg’s doubleheader split with West Chester on Friday (7-10, 6-1), finishing the day 3-for-5 with a double, sacrifice fly, three RBIs, three runs, two stolen bases and a pair of walks. Through six conference games this season, Klee has reached base in 11-of-19 plate appearances (.550 on-base percentage). In Thursday’s doubleheader split with East Stroudsburg (3-2, 0-3), Klee reached base four times, going 3-for-5 with a walk. In last Saturday’s 3-2 win over Kutztown in game two of a twinbill sweep, Klee had a pair of hits, including a double. It was Shippensburg’s first sweep of KU since the 2014 season.
Jackie Heim (William Tennent) had two hits in La Salle’s 4-3 win over Rhode Island in game two of a doubleheader sweep last Saturday.
Elizabethtown sophomore Alysssa Wilkinson (Quakertown) was named the Landmark Conference Pitcher of
the Week for the week ending March 29 after winning her seventh consecutive start. It is the second straight week Wilkinson has earned the honor. A day after throwing a perfect game against Drew, Wilkinson went right back to it the following day against Dickinson. The Red Devils could only manage four hits across seven innings and scored a single run as the lefty held Dickinson in check for the entire game. Her seventh win gave her the Landmark lead and maintained her league leader status in ERA too. Nationally, Wilkinson is 16th in ERA and second among pitchers with over 40 innings. At the time of the award, Wilkinson’s ERA was at 0.58 after allowing just six runs (four earned) in 48 innings of work.
Alyssa Hughes (Pennridge) had a hit in her fourth consecutive game in Keystone College’s 10-1 loss to Immaculata in game two of a doubleheader split on Saturday. Earlier this year, the Pennridge graduate had an 11-game hitting streak. In Thursday’s doubleheader sweep at the hands of Cabrini, Hughes finished with three hits to raise her team-leading batting average of .356. In last Saturday’s 2-0 win over Cairn, Hughes struck out six and allowed just three hits in the shutout win.
Senior Rachel Hyman (Upper Dublin) had a two-run single in Ursinus College’s 8-6 loss to Muhlenberg on Thursday.
Jackie Bilotti (North Penn) was 2-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored in Arcadia’s 10-5 win over Hood in game two of a doubleheader sweep Friday. In Thursday’s 3-0 win in game one of a doubleheader split at Stockton, Bilottie was 2-for-4 with an RBI. With a hit in both games, Bilotti upped her hitting streak to 10 games.
DeSales University senior Hailey Warner (Central Bucks South) was named the ECAC Metro Region Division
III Pitcher of the Week and MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 1. The CB South graduate, who has been named the MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week three times and the ECAC Metro Pitcher of the Week twice this year, pitched a complete game two-hit shutout (six innings) in DeSales 8-0 win over Eastern. The senior struck out 10 batters and walked none while holding the Eagles to a .105 batting average and just two base runners. It was her 10th win of the season.
Warner pitched 5.1 innings, striking out five and earning the win in DeSales University’s 7-4 win over Manhattanville College in game one of a twinbill sweep Saturday. In the Bulldog’s 6-5 win in game two, Warner earned the win with 1.1 innings of relief. She allowed just one run.
Haley DeLany (Souderton) hit a two-run homer in UMBC’s 6-3 loss to Binghamton in game one of a twinbill split on Saturday.
Jamie Gosselin (Abington) had three hits, including a double, in Widener’s doubleheader split with Messiah (11-8, 2-4) on Saturday. In Widener’s twinbill sweep at the hands of Gwyndd Mercy (6-7, 2-4), Gosselin led the Pride with four hits in the two games, including a double, triple and two RBIs. In Widener’s twinbill sweep of Penn State Abington (4-1, 14-1), Gosselin had a pair of hits.
Becca Dougherty (Council Rock South) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored in Penn State Abington’s 7-6 win over SUNY Poly in game one of a doubleheader sweep Sunday. She also earned the win in the circle Caitlin Brasier (Harry S Truman) had a triple, and Jackie McMenamin (Upper Dublin) was 1-for-3. In the Nittany Lions’ 7-5 win in game two, Dougherty, who earned the win, was 3-for-3 with two doubles and a home run, one RBI and a run scored. McMenamin was 2-for-3 with a run scored. In the Nittany Lions’ 12-0 win over SUNY Cobleskill in game two of a doubleheader split Saturday, Dougherty was 3-for-3 with four RBIs and a run scored. She also earned the win, allowing one hit in five shutout innings while walking one and striking out six. McMenamin was 2-for-3 with a double and a run, and Brasier was 1-for-3 with an RBI and run scored. In the Nittany Lions’ 4-1 loss to Widener, Brasier knocked in the lone run when she slammed a 1-2 pitch to deep center for her first home run of the season.
Becki Christoffers (North Penn) was 4-for-4 and a triple shy of the cycle in Gwynedd Mercy’s 11-8 win over Marywood in game two of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday.
Emily Mayhew (Pennridge) singled and drove in a run in Blooomsburg’s 4-3 loss to Mansfield Sunday. The Pennridge graduate also singled and drove in a run in Bloomsburg’s 6-4 loss in game two of the twinbill. In Friday’s doubleheader sweep at the hands of Lock Haven (2-3, 5-9), Mayhew was a combined 4-for-7 with a double, RBI and two runs. Nicolette Ray (Abington) worked a scoreless third of an inning in the circle in game two. In last Saturday’s 4-3 win over Pitt-Johnstown, Mayhew was 2-for-4 with a double and solo home run, one RBI and one run. In the Huskies’ 6-5 win over East Stroudsburg in game two of a twinbill sweep, Mayhew was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored, and Ray was 1-for-3 with an RBI. In the Huskies 4-3 win over ESU in game one, Mayhew was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs.
Freshman Devan Mascuilli (Neshaminy) was 2-for-2 with an RBI double and single in Millersville’s 4-1 loss to West Chester on Sunday.
Junior Sara Keeny (William Tennent) had a four-hit day in Kutztown’s doubleheader sweep at the hands of Millersville on Friday (5-8, 5-7), going 4-for-8 with an RBI and three runs scored. She now has 34 hits on the season (seventh in the PSAC) and has scored 20 runs (sixth). Keeny also stole three bases on the day, leading the conference with 17. Cheyenne Jones (Harry S Truman) started at shortstop in the opener and went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the three hole. Angie Carty (Souderton) added a hit for KU. In last Saturday’s twinbill sweep at the hands of Shippensburg, Keeny had her 10th and 11th multi-hit games this season, finishing 5-of-8 with an RBI and run scored.

Senior Tomas Christian (Abington) earned a straight set 6-1, 6-4 win at fourth flight in La Salle’s 6-1 loss to Villanova on Wednesday. In La Salle’s 7-0 win over Coppin State, Christian notched a 6-1, 6-1 win at fourth flight singles.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Katherine Devlin (Wissahickon) and Maureen Devlin (Wissahickon) earned a 6-3 win at third doubles in St. Joseph’s 6-1 win over Rhode Island last Saturday. In St. Joe’s 6-1 win over Chestnut hill, Maureen Devlin notched a 6-0, 6-2 win at third flight.

Elizabethtown senior Mitch Schlegel (Souderton) won the 200m with a time of 43.57 at the Millersville Metrics meet on Saturday. The Souderton graduate finished fourth in the 100m with a time of 11.38.
Ursinus sophomore Brody Johnson (Central Bucks West) placed fourth in the high jump (4-9.75) at Ursinus College’s home invitational last Saturday. Riley Grourke (Pennridge) finished eighth in the javelin.
Jhaloni Johnson (Springfield Township) and Anthony Bullaro (Pennsbury) were part of Kutztown’s 4x100m relay team that placed third on the final day of the Colonial Relays at William & Mary on Saturday. Tommy Oliver (Bensalem) set a new PSAC mark with a season best 6-00.75 leap in the high jump. Cameron Christopher (Wissahickon) set a new PSAC team in the 800m with a season best 1:56.68. Brandon Raguz (Central Bucks South) cleared 15-1 in the pole vault, an existing PSAC height, for fourth place. Johnson competed for the first time in the outdoor season and ran a PSAC time of 22.00 for 24th place in the 200m. Sophomore Ryan Benner (Pennridge) ran a career-best 22.12 in the 200m for 33rd and a PSAC qualifying time. In last Saturday’s West Chester Quad, Raguz won the pole vault in an existing PSAC mark of 15-7. Christopher finished third in the 400m while Benner turned in a top four finish in both sprints, finishing third in the 200m (22.98) and fourth in the 100 (11.41). Obi Ogbonna (Harry S Truman) ran a season-best 15.67 in the 110 hurdles for an exciting PSAC qualifier.
Shippensburg freshman Austin Howell (Pennridge) posted a PSAC qualifying time of 50.37 in the 400 meters at the 53rd Annual Colonial Relays at William & Mary on Friday. In last Friday’s Fred Hardy Invitational at the University of Richmond, Howell was part of Shippensburg’s 4×4 relay that posted a time of 3:21.37. That time was just one second ahead of SU’s ‘B’ team that included freshman Harpreet Singh (Abington). Tommy Haas (Hatboro-Horsham) placed third in the javelin with a throw of 186’6”.
La Salle graduate student Fran Ferruzzi (Upper Dublin) placed 10th in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:57.37 at the Sam Howell Invitational this weekend.
Widener junior Sean Stovall (Springfield Township) placed sixth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 56.96 at the Danny Curran Invitational last Saturday.
Bloomsburg sophomore Matthew Hart (Pennsbury) finished third in the hammer throw with a PSAC qualifying mark of 48.82 meters – just shy of his season best mark of 49.25 – at the Millersville Metrics on Saturday. Alex Moran (Pennridge) was second in the 110m hurdles with a time of 16.83. Austin Kline (Central Bucks West) was part of the 4x400m relay that placed third with a time of 3:35.12. In Friday’s Johns Hopkins Invitational, Moran won the 400m hurdles with a PSAC qualifying time of 57.17. Hart qualified for the conference meet by finishing second in the hammer throw with a toss of 49.25 meters. The mark was 1.7 meters better than his 47.55m showing in the season opener. At last Saturday’s West Chester Quad, Kline earned a win in the 400m with a PSAC qualifying time of 50.09. Moran finished third in the 400m hurdles with a PSAC qualifying time of 56.73. Hart posted PSAC-qualifying marks in both the shot put and hammer throw. He finished fifth overall in the shot put with a mark of 13.76 meters and then threw the hammer 47.55 meters to finish third.
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Duquesne junior Shannon Taub (Council Rock South) finished third in the triple jump (10.93m) at the 53rd Annual Colonial Relays hosted by William & Mary on Saturday. In last Saturday’s Carnegie Mellon Quad Meet, Taub finished second in the long jump (5.20m).
Amber Stratz (Central Bucks South) and Brianna Stratz (Central Bucks South) were part of Monmouth University’s winning 4×1500 relay team that posted a school record time of 18:37.52 at the Colonial Relays at William & Mary on Saturday. Brianna Stratz finished seventh in the 800 meters with an ECAC qualifying time of 2:10.50. In last Saturday’s Florida Relays in Gainesville, Brianna Stratz was part of the DMR team that posted a new school record time of 11:28.87. Brianna Straz posted an ECAC qualifying time in the 800 meters (2:10.13). At last Saturday’s Lafayette 7-Way Meet, Amber Stratz was part of the 4×400 relay that placed second with a time of 4:05.68, and she also took second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:15. Junior Allison Taub (Council Rock South) won the shot put with a mark of 45’8”.
Ursinus junior Riley Engel (Council Rock North) finished fourth in the 800m (2:33.17) and fifth in the 1500m (5:08.58) at Ursinus College’s home invitational last Saturday. Freshman Rachel Coleman (Wissahickon) finished ninth in the 200m dash (27.92). That time places her eighth in the conference.
Senior Lindsay Sheehan (Pennridge) was part of Shippensburg’s first place 4×100 relay that posted at time of 48.90 at York College’s Twilight Invitational. She also finished third in the 400m (1:01.66) while Sophia Carabba (Abington) was seventh (1:02.45).
East Stroudsburg sophomore Barbara Grossov (Quakertown) finished seventh in the hammer throw with a PSAC qualifying mark of 133-10 at the West Chester Quad Meet last Saturday. Leiana Dean (North Penn) and Victoria Matthews (Abington) were part of the 4x400m relay that posted a season best time of 4:03.27.
Bloomsburg freshman Kathleen Stevenson (North Penn) had a first place finish and two second place finishes at the Millersville Metrics hosted by Millersville on Saturday. The North Penn graduate was part of the first place 4x400m relay that posted a time of 4:07.08 and also included Jessica Brenfleck (North Penn). The quartet also combined for a second place finish in the 4x100m relay with a time of 50.56. Individually, Stevenson took second in the 100m dash with a time of 12.93. In Friday’s Johns Hopkins Invitational, Stevenson placed fourth in the long jump, posting a PSAC qualifying lead of 5.45 meters. Brenfleck placed seventh in the 100m dash with a time of 13.20. In last Saturday’s West Chester Quad Meet, Stevenson finished third in the long jump with a mark of 5.43 meters.
West Chester senior Emily Magnant (Hatboro-Horsham) finished 22nd in the 200m with a time of 25.09 at the Colonial Relays hosted by William & Mary. Allison King (North Penn) finished 29th in the 400 meters with a time of 58.53. In last Saturday’s West Chester Quad meet, Magnant took first place in the 200m with a time of 25.7. King took second in the 400m with a time of 59.10.
La Salle senior Kaitlin Poiesz (Central Bucks South) placed third in the 3000 meters with a time of 10:07.74 at the Fred Hardy Invitational hosted by Richmond this weekend.
Widener senior Allison Gallagher (Souderton) finished eighth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:01.49 at the Danny Curran Invitational last Saturday.
Stephanie Bresadola (North Penn) was part of Kutztown’s 4x800m relay that posted a time of 9:56.97 at the Colonial Relays hosted by William & Mary this weekend. Bresadola also set a new PSAC mark of 2:19.21 in the 800m. In last Saturday’s West Chester Quad Meet, Bresadola notched a PSAC qualifying mark in the 1500m (4:54.97).
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Senior Micah Godshall (Souderton) had 10 kills in Cairn University’s 3-0 loss to fourth-ranked Kean University on Tuesday. For the year, Godshall finished with 457 points, 390 kills, 50 service aces and 174 digs. The 6-4 opposite hitter finished high on the NCAA DIII leaderboards, ranking first in kills, third in kills per set, first in points, third in points per set and fifth in service aces. The Highlanders finished with their most wins since 2015, tallying 11 on the year. In last Saturday’s 3-0 loss to Fontbonne University, Godshall had a game-high 12 kills. In the Highlanders 3-0 win over Lehman College later in the day, Godshall had a game-high 24 kills.
