CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 4, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0
The visiting Patriots opened up a 3-0 halftime lead en route to their second conference win.
“CB East is an excellent team with a lot of talent,” South coach Pat Toner said. “Their corners are well executed and they are well coached.”
Sophie Parker scored off the goalie pads 14 minutes into the game, and with just under 10 minutes remaining, the Titans went on top 2-0 on a goal by Phia Mannino. Allie Gallant scored during corner play, using an assist from Parker with 7:14 remaining in the first half.
Emma Donnelly scored with an assist from Paige Hussie midway through the second half for the 4-0 final.
“We have been playing as a team, and it has shown in the speed of our game, our passing game and confidence all over the field,” East coach Meghann Spratt said. “It was nice knocking off both sister schools this week.”
The Patriots’ coach credited Kenzie Lever for leading the very strong team effort.
The Patriots, who had 14 corners, held a 21-6 advantage in shots on goal. East goalie Emily Bullard was credited with six saves in the shutout win. South’s Jillian Heilig recorded 17 saves.
“While it’s never enjoyable to lose 4-0, I saw some very positive things from our play especially in the second half,” Toner said. “We had five sophomores and one freshman playing at one point as well as some other players with minimal varsity experience.
“I am really proud of them for stepping up and improving with each practice and game. Freshman Lily Haag had an excellent game as did seniors Maddie Pearce and Anna Gillard. We will learn from this game and make the needed improvements.”
Central Bucks East (3-1, 2-0 SOL) will host Council Rock South in a non-league game Monday. Central Bucks South (2-2, 1-1) will host Hatboro-Horsham in a non-league game Monday.

NORTH PENN 2, WISSAHICKON 2 (OT)
The Knights opened up a 2-0 lead, but the resilient Trojans scored a pair of goals in the final 6:47 of regulation, knotting the score. An overtime period could not determine a winner, and the two teams were forced settle for a tie.
“Wissahickon made a strong comeback late in the game, and we couldn’t hold on to the 2-0 lead,” North Penn coach Shannon McCracken said. “After 15 minutes of OT where we had opportunities to win, the game ended in a 2-2 draw.”
Baylen Detweiler scored an unassisted goal with 1:29 remaining in the first half, sending the Knights into halftime with a 1-0 lead. Megan Albert turned a Deborah Kim pass into a goal with 8:25 remaining, but that 2-0 lead turned out to be anything but secure. Hannah Havrilla’s unassisted goal made it a 2-1 game, and with 3:37 remaining, Lauren Donofrio scored with a Grace Ball assist.
“It was a well played game by both teams and good competition early on in the season,” McCracken said. “We had to make some adjustments to the starting lineup as two starters were out with injuries.
“The players adjusted well with a few players in new positions. Megan Albert played extremely well for us on both ends of the field, scoring a goal on a penalty corner and recording two defensive saves on the defensive end of the field.”
Meghan Reilly kept the Trojans in the game with 12 saves. North Penn goalie Mallory Stowell had five saves. Megan Albert recorded two defensive savess.
North Penn (0-2-1, 0-1 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks East Tuesday, and Wissahickon (1-1-1, 1-1 SOL) will host Springfield Township on Tuesday.
