COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 17, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 11
Freshman Andrew Zazoff scored six goals and sophomore Dylan Kavanaugh and junior Dean Scalamandre both added four to lead a potent Rock North attack in Monday’s annual rivalry game against the Golden Hawks. Kavanaugh also had seven ground balls.
Sophomore Sammy Lewis also had himself a day, winning 11 of 16 face-offs and also contributing three assists and 13 ground balls.
“The young guns really did an excellent job,” Rock North coach John Fitzpatrick said. “We have a really good mix of senior leadership and up and coming young players.”
Senior Sean Beverly is one of those senior leaders who made his presence felt. In Monday’s win, he took a lot of the face-offs and was credited with three ground balls.
“He has really been an outstanding leader for our defense,” Fitzpatrick said.
Shane Bradley added two goals and four assists while Nick Colavito had one goal. Bradley and Colavito both also had four ground balls. Max Harar had three ground balls while Nicol Whalen, Nate Rambo and Chris Mauro each had two. Charlie Puccio and Scalamandre both had one ground ball.
Also for the Indians, Cole Newman was credited with four saves in goal in the win.
For the Golden Hawks, Sal Mastromarco led a balanced attack with three goals and one assist. Jake Brossman had two goals and three assists while MJ Feeney and Antti Autere both contributed two goals and one assist. TJ Shores and Dean Rarick each added one goal while Brendan Malone had one assist.
Mason Shores recorded 14 saves in goal for the Golden Hawks.
Council Rock North (12-1, 7-1 SOL) will be on the road at Central Bucks South on Friday for a 7 p.m. game, and Council Rock South (2-11, 2-7) will travel to Quakertown on Thursday for a 6 p.m. contest.
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 13, HATBORO-HORSHAM 4
Austin Hahn’s six-point night – which included four goals and two assists – led a balanced West attack. Matt Jacobsen added a hat trick and one assist and also had a dominant night at the face-off X, winning 9 of 11 face-offs.
Jeff Woosnam and Connor Albrecht both contributed a pair of goals. Woosnam also had one assist. Brayden Albrecht had one goal and three assists while Evan Goldrick added one goal. Contributing one assist each were Cole Graeff and Landon Albrecht.
West goalie Evan Hee was credited with 13 saves in a strong showing.
Cole Gnuitti won 3 of 6 face-offs while Mike Long Jr was 0-for-1 at the face-off X.
Central Bucks West (6-8, 4-4 SOL) will travel to Neshaminy on Tuesday at 6 p.m., and Hatboro-Horsham (5-8, 5-3) will be on the road at Quakertown on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. contest.

UPPER MORELAND 16, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 6
The visiting Golden Bears opened up a 4-0 lead after one quarter and took a 9-4 lead into halftime. Both teams scored a pair of goals in the third quarter, and the Bears closed out the game with a 5-0 fourth quarter tear.
Joe Messina’s five goal effort led the Golden Bears while Ryan Olexa also had a big game with four goals and two assists. Owen Dunlevy collected a hat trick and also had one assist, and Colin Hogan had a pair of goals. Joe Marczak contributed one goal and two assists while Justin Drinkwater had a goal and an assist. Alex Emmell and Matt Tiernan each had a pair of assists, and Logan Taylor chipped in with one assist.
UM goalie Matt Ludlow was credited with 11 saves in a winning effort.
Upper Moreland (9-4, 4-2 SOL) will host Abington on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., and Plymouth Whitemarsh (3-5, 3-3) will host New Hope-Solebury on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 8, HOLY GHOST PREP 3
The Titans held a tenuous 2-1 lead over the visitors after one quarter but outscored the Firebirds 3-1 in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 5-2 lead. They limited the Firebirds to just one goal after the intermission – none in the fourth quarter.
Chris Moore contributed in all phases of the game. He not only scored two goals but was also a force at the face-off X, winning 13 of 15 face-offs. He also led the Titans with eight ground balls.
Logan Dunn also had a pair of goals while Nick Fareno added a goal and an assist. Contributing one goal each were Evan Jacobsen, Cole Cenci and Emilio Aguilar. Liam Brittin, Reese Levinson and Ryan Smith each had one assist.
Gavin Ostroff was credited with 10 saves in goal for the Titans in their non-league win.
Central Bucks South (7-3, 5-2 SOL) will travel to North Penn on Tuesday.

SOUDERTON 15, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 2
Souderton and the rainy weather put a damper on Carroll’s Senior Day celebration. The visiting Indians led by just a 2-1 score at the end of a hard fought and emotional opening quarter. They erupted for five goals in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 7-1 lead and upped that to 13-1 at the end of three quarters.
Jamison McDivitt had a huge 10-point day for the Indians, scoring four goals and assisting on six others. Kobi Bui added five goals and three assists while Seth Gross had one goal and three assists. Ty Quintos added two goals and one assist. Gavin Landis, Tyson Bui and Justin Wawrzynek each added one goal. Lance Pelych and Alex Blue both had an assist.
Souderton (9-5, 4-5 SOL) will host Plymouth Whitemarsh for Thursday’s Senior Night game at 6:30 p.m.
