Football Forecast – 11

Go Figure !!!
Quakertown is at the very least the co-champion of the Suburban One League Continental Conference.
Quakertown???
The Panthers began the season 0-4 with some disastrous losses in those four defeats.
The Black Cats opened the season with a punishing 55-0 loss to Southern Lehigh and opened the conference season with a 44-8 blowout loss to Plymouth Whitemarsh.
Quakertown??? Probable Co-champions???
There is no question that the Panthers earned the probable co-championship by winning the next 5 conference games.
Included in that winning stretch were thrilling victories over Council Rock South (24-21) & Souderton (22-21). Q-town took care of business with conference wins over Bensalem (56-13), Council Rock North (36-7) & Upper Dublin (35-14).
Quakertown??? Probable Co-champions??? How???
The Black Cats had the back door to the probable co-championship swing wide open last week when Plymouth Whitemarsh lost for the first time this season and was ‘upset’ by Council Rock South, 26-21.
And Quakertown proudly and deservedly walked right through that back door and into the championship room.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (7-1, 4-1), in fact, must win this week against Bensalem (2-7, 1-4) to secure the co-championship with the Panthers.
Quakertown (5-4, 5-1) should be a lock for the PIAA District One Class 6A playoffs – but seedings have yet to be determined.
Q-town completed its conference schedule & will close out the regular season schedule with a non-league game against William Penn. This game was scheduled to fill the void created when Cheltenham suspended its 2026 season.
William Penn (0-7) is a Class 3A team from Delaware and a victory will do little to improve the Panthers current 13th ranking in the district.
Stay tuned.
Go Figure!!! (Part 2)
Central Bucks South is hosting unbeaten Pennridge @ Titan Stadium for a share of the Suburban One League National Conference.
Central Bucks South??? Playing for a possible share of conference title???
The Titans opened the season 0-3 with some potential damaging non-league losses to Archbishop Wood (35-17), Downingtown West (28-20).
And the third CB South setback was a crushing 33-0 non-league loss to Plymouth Whitemarsh.
And the fourth Titan defeat came in conference play as CB South suffered a painful 45-13 loss to rival Central Bucks West.
Central Bucks South??? Playing for a possible conference championship??? Really???
The resurgent Titans took care of business after the 0-3 non-league start and rattled off important conference victories over Abington (37-6), Neshaminy (36-0) & Central Bucks East (35-6).
CB South improved its conference record to 5-1 after the loss to CB West with a pair of extremely impressive defensive shutout performances the last 2 weeks over both Pennsbury (9-0) & North Penn (17-0).
The conference victory over North Penn permitted the Titans to go over the .500 mark for the first time all season.
And now Central Bucks South (5-4, 5-1) finds itself in the position to earn a share of the conference championship with a victory over defending SOL National Conference champion Pennridge (9-0, 6-0).
Some of the biggest fans of the Titans this week might just be the fans, coaches & players @ Central Bucks West (8-1, 5-1).
The Bucks – with a victory over district rival Central Bucks East (6-3, 3-2) this week – would also finish the SOL National Conference regular season with a 6-1 conference record.
The only loss of the 2026 season for Central Bucks West came against Pennridge, 14-7. The Bucks lost that torturous game to the Rams when PHS scored a touchdown with just 28 seconds remaining in the game.
The final results of the CB South-Pennridge & CB West-CB East games under the Friday Night Lights will determine if the SOL National Conference will have an outright champion (Pennridge, 7-0) * Co-champions (Pennridge, 6-1 & CB South, 6-1) * or Tri-champions (Pennridge 6-1, CB South 6-1 & CB West 6-1).
Go Figure!!!
*******
Double/Double Bubble……. and it ain’t the gum…
There are 4 bubble teams that appear to have a shot at the final 2 slots in the 16-team 6A District One, and all have a less than impressive regular season record.
Really?
Neshaminy (3-6 overall) is currently ranked 15th (103.333) and this week will host Class 6A Pennsbury (3-6).
Perkiomen Valley (3-6) is currently ranked 16th (102.222) and will play this week @ 5A Upper Merion (3-6).
Harry S Truman (4-5) is currently ranked 17th (101.111) and will play this week @ 6A William Tennent (2-7).
Souderton (3-6) is currently ranked 18th (100.000) and will play this week @ 5A Upper Dublin (3-6).
The final numbers will play themselves out with the results of those four games factored into the PIAA District One * Power Ranking System.
I guess the Redskins, Vikings, Tigers & Indians really are playoff teams.
Stay Tuned.

Last Week:
Pennridge remained unbeaten on the 2026 season with a 42-7 conference win over Neshaminy. The Rams won the defensive lottery with not 1 * not 2 * but 3 ‘pick-6s’ in the victory. Brody Blomgren, Eil Olson & defensive lineman William Osei all cashed in ‘pick-6s’. Michael Ferguson returned a kickoff 85 yards for a score. Trevor Picciotti sparked the offense with touchdown runs of 20 & 4 yards.
Central Bucks South captured a key SOL National Conference & probable District One playoff berth with a stunning 17-0 victory over North Penn. The Titan defense kept the potent Knight offense off the scoreboard and held them to less than 200 yards of total offense. Gavin Graham rushed for 96 yards and scored two touchdowns, while Oliver Woodcock drilled a 40-yard field goal for the winners.
