Springfield Twp coach Riley Woron:
“Very happy to start the playoffs with a win against a talented team. Shanahan has high level technical talent. Madanat and Beard caused a lot of problems for our back line. We did a good job recovering and making them have to go through multiple guys before getting any open looks. Josh Garbarini made a big save to keep it 2-1 before we were able to extend the lead.
“We move our focus to Radnor this Monday. We’re accustomed to running into Radnor in the playoffs. Outside of the past two years, when we were in 4A, we met three years in a row. We’re looking forward to a good game and hope the fans will come out and set the tone.”
Up next: Springfield Twp will travel to #2 Radnor for a district semifinal contest Monday.

New Hope-Solebury coach Chris Van Pelt:
“I thought we played a very good, mature game today. We controlled and moved the ball really well, and I was happy to keep the clean sheet. We spoke before the game about being obsessed with the details and having the right mentality, and it was great to see everyone, even all the guys that came off the bench later in the game, have the right mindset and play a complete game.”
