–Props: “Chloe Schrandt led the offense and was incredibly poised and took advantage of a ton of opportunities off drives. Olivia Barrett continues to have an incredible season on the draw circle and as a vocal leader on the attack and defensive end.
“Zola Morelli has been a midfield spark as she scored two fastbreak goals as she too leads a really strong defensive unit. Kamryn Brownlow, Addy Stromberg, and Ainsley Shissler also had well-rounded games in the midfield. We didn’t shoot the ball as well as we would’ve liked to today, but defense continues to work well together and I’m super proud of their communication and poise.”
Springfield Twp coach Katrina Borzelleca: “The team played with great effort and determination today in another non-league game for the Spartans. The girls worked tirelessly to continue to create opportunities for themselves and for their teammates. We had some forced errors which caused turnovers that CB West capitalized on. However, the team hustled and supported each other throughout the game and showed determination and grit.
“Stormii Sprague had an incredible game in goal with 16 saves. Stormii is reading the ball very well and is a huge part of our defensive unit- she saw a ton of shots today. The team got to celebrate her as she also netted her 100th career varsity save.”
