National Conference
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 13, NESHAMINY 1
Central Bucks East opened the evening honoring its senior class – Sienna Borelli, Abby DiAmico, Sage King, Nicole Taylor, Alexis To, Kasey Walker, Cameron Warfield, and Emma Weisel – then the Patriots gave the upperclassmen a memorable Senior
Night sendoff with a 13-1 victory over Neshaminy in Friday’s National Conference game.
The game provided two memorable moments for the host Patriots, as Borelli – who has been unable to play this season due to an injury, was able to step onto the field for the start of the game. Senior netminder DiAmico made her 300th career save as part of a 6-save effort.

Central Bucks East coach Kelly Tait: “It was a full team effort today as we celebrated our seniors. It was particularly exciting because senior Sienna Borelli, who has been sidelined all season with an injury, was able to take the field to start for us; and senior goalie Abby DiAmico also recorded the 300th save of her career in her Senior Night game.”
—Defense steps up: “Our defense was solid today and really worked well as a unit, locking down and sealing off cutters. They were also responsible for a number of caused turnovers. On attack, we struggled with our shooting percentage early on and we were forcing some things. The Neshaminy goalie was doing a good job and came up with a lot of saves. After halftime, we were able to clean some things up and get back to playing our game and not be frantic. I continue to be so impressed with this whole team and how they work together and play for each other.”
Up next: East (6-5, 2-4 SOL) will visit Bensalem at 3:30 pm Tuesday. Neshaminy (1-9, 0-6) will host Council Rock South at 7 pm Monday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 7, PENNSBURY 4
In a contest dominated by the respective defense, it was the Bucks keeping their perfect conference mark intact with a hard-fought win.
“This was definitely a defensive battle,” CB West coach Elena Romesburg said. “Both teams were playing very effective zone schemes that caused a lot of turnovers. I was happy to get a win after we played them super close last year in a tough league game but ultimately fell short.”
Kamryn Brownlow’s hat trick led the West attack.

Pennsbury: Grace Holmes (1 goal, 1 assist), Angelina Kenney (2 goals), Gretchen Hill (1 assist)
Central Bucks West coach Elena Romesburg: “Pennsbury has some really great athletes on their team. and I was proud at how well our defense was able to stick to our game plan in order to slow them down. Everyone has really bought into their role in the zone, and it’s been awesome to see them implement it in the game. Zola Morelli was all over the field and has been a force on the defensive side as has senior Grace Naylor, who was key in implementing our zone and matching up against Pennsbury’s top players. Katie Casale was a key in handling the pressure Pennsbury utilized.
“Our offense was able to capitalize on a lot of caused turnovers. Our midfield unit is super young, and it is super fun to get to see them grow and get better together. They’ve really made an impact on both ends of the field. Excited for a busy week coming up with our last out of conference game and some big rivalry games.”
Up next: Central Bucks West (10-2, 6-0 SOL) will travel to Abington on Monday, and Pennsbury (4-8, 2-4) will host Central Bucks South Wednesday.

Grace Harvey and Liv Reilly led the Colonials with 2 goals each. Addi Stein made 10 saves.
By the numbers: Upper Dublin: Bridget DiMartile (6 goals, 2 assists, 3 DC, 1 CTO), Anna DiMartile (4 goals, 2 assists, 3 DC, 1 CTO), Ava Shohen (1 goal, 1 assists, 1 DC, 1 CTO), Shannon Connaughton (1 goal, 1 assist), Maeve Hogan (8 DC, 3 CTO), Abby Rucker (1 assist, 2 CTO), Abby O’Meara (1 CTO), Liv Coffey (1 CTO), Caroline Stoffel (4 saves).
Plymouth Whitemarsh: Grace Harvey (2 goals), Liv Reilly (2 goals), Soph Gartland (1 goal), Katie Guarino (1 goal), Maite Jayo (1 goal), Addi Stein (10 saves).
Upper Dublin coach Dee Cross: “It was a total team effort today against PW. We knew it was going to be a tough matchup. PW is well-coached, and they made us work for every goal.
“Anna and Bridget DiMartile provided the spark on offense, Maeve Hogan had 8 draw controls and 3 caused turnovers to get us possession, and the defense – Abby O’Meara, Olivia Broome, Sophia Sirianni and Liv Coffey – worked as a unit to limit shots on goal and to push transition. Different girls step up each game to help in whatever is needed.”
Plymouth Whitemarsh coach Ellen Reilly: “We had a very good first quarter. Possession of the draw was key is taking a 5-3 lead. The second quarter was even on draws, but Upper Dublin capitalized on their offensive attempts where we couldn’t find the net and created too many turnovers. We had 5 goals on 10 shots in the first half.”
—Solid defense: “Even with the offensive turnovers, my defense played really well, making adjustments and keeping us in the game. In the third, UD was beating us to the ball on the draw, but even with that, my defense made some really good plays creating knockdowns, but we couldn’t come up with the ball, and on second opportunities, UD scored. In the fourth, our opportunities were few, but we made some good plays on defense but couldn’t clear the ball. When we possessed the ball on attack, we threw it away under pressure.”
—Lessons learned: “My players need to learn how to be confident and consistent in their play. We had some really nice play on both ends. But then we end up hurting ourselves with turnovers.”
Up next: Upper Dublin 13-1, 8-0 SOL) will visit nonleague opponent Pennridge at 7 pm Monday. The Colonials (11-3, 6-2) will visit William Tennent at 3:30 pm Wednesday.
