In Friday’s opener, the Owls rode the strong pitching performance of Haydn Sorensen, who allowed two hits in five shutout innings. Cole Hasson closed out the game and did not allow a hit in two shutout innings. He walked one and struck out one.
The Owls put a run on the board in the first and made it a 2-0 game in the third inning.

The Golden Hawks erased an early 2-0 deficit with three runs in the second inning, and they all but put the game out of reach with a five-run fifth.
A two-run single by Reed Curtier highlighted the three-run second. In the five-run fifth, Jack Reynolds had a two-run single.

NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 15, CALVARY CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 1 (5 innings)
The Lions took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first when JT Bach, who singled, scored on a blooming triple by Blake McCagg. Lucas Kevorkian’s sac fly pushed the second run across.
That 2-0 score stood until the top of the third when the Lions scored nine unanswered runs.
McCagg’s two-run double highlighted the inning.
Kevorkian’s five RBIs led the Lions.
Anthony Whelan and Charlie Pleboni combined for the abbreviated win.

The Falcons blew open a scoreless game with a 10-run outburst in the third inning.
Tyler Lee had a huge day at the plate, contributing a double, triple and five RBIs. His three-run triple highlighted the 10-run third. He and Danny Seidler both had two-run doubles in the inning.
Keller Bradley earned the starting nod and allowed one hit over two scoreless inning. Four Falcons saw action on the mound.

The Lions scored early an often, putting runs on the board in each of the four innings. Jackson Calder’s 4-for-4 effort with a pair of doubles led the Lions. Evan Stone was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, and Eddie Wieber was 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBIs. Bradley Horsnall also had a pair of hits and two RBIs.
On the mound, Dan Giampaoloa did not allow an earned run in four shutout innings.
