“We got off to a shaky start in the first inning today, but we were able to minimize damage and give our bats a chance to get us back in the game.”
–Props: “I can’t say enough about Max’s performance out of the bullpen. He will mostly start games this season, but we had the rare opportunity to use him in relief today and everything was working for him. He pitched out of a bases loaded jam and pitched really tough against some big bats in their lineup.
“Mason Eagland, Brody Stump, and Dan Molony each had a big day at the plate, and we hope that is a sign of how we can spread hits throughout the lineup.”
