Check out the recaps for SOL baseball teams in action Saturday.

Non-league
BENSALEM 4, CARDINAL O’HARA 3
The Owls displayed a flair for the dramatic in Saturday’s season opener.
With the bases loaded and his team on the short end of a 3-1 score, Tyler Fisher – staring at an 0-2 count – doubled to right field, emptying the bases and propelling the Owls to the exciting finish.
The Lions opened the door for the Owls’ comeback, committing a one-out error and then loading the bases on back-to-back walks to set the stage for Fisher.
Prior to that uprising, the Owls had managed just one run in the bottom of the first when Nate Rice delivered a sacrifice fly. Earlier in the inning, the Owls loaded the bases as the result of a hit batsman and back-to-back singles by Sean Swentkowski and Jalen Soberal.
Soberal’s 2-for-3 day with a run scored led the Owls, who managed just five hits.
Bensalem’s duo of Sean Nelson and Kyle Rubin did not allow an earned run. Nelson, who got the start, allowed just one hit in four innings, but the Lions plated three unearned runs in the fourth inning. Kyle Rubin closed out the game with three shutout innings, allowing one hit while striking out seven and walking one.
Bensalem (1-0) will travel to Pennsbury for its SOL opener on Friday.

The Falcons won their non-league season opener on Saturday morning at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, opening up a 3-0 lead in the third inning and holding a lead the rest of the way.

Central Catholic made it a 3-1 game with a run in the top of the fifth, but the Falcons added two runs in the bottom of the inning, benefitting from a pair of Central Catholic errors.
Justin Mitrovich gave the Falcons 5.1 strong innings on the mound, allowing just two hits and two runs while striking out 10 and walking three. Gavin Hawkes allowed one hit in 1.1 innings of scoreless relief to close it out. He struck out a pair.

PENNSBURY 6, PICKERINGTON NORTH 5
The Falcons trailed 5-3 after four innings but scored single runs in each of the last three innings to escape with the non-league win. Joe Tiroly’s one-out single to left gave the Falcons the walk-off win in the seventh.
Earlier in the frame, the Falcons loaded the bases with one out, thanks to back-to-back singles by Jackson Freeman and Justin Mitrovich and a walk to Sam Labrecque. That set the stage for Tiroly’s heroics.
In the bottom of the first inning, the Falcons used back-to-back RBI singles by Ryan Zuckerman and Reese Hirsh to take a 2-1 lead. That lead grew to 3-1 in the third when Charlie Evans and Callan Fang (RBI) collected consecutive doubles.
After Pickerington North rallied to go on top 5-3, the Falcons plated a single run in the fifth when Fang, who tripled to right, scored on Hirsh’s RBI single to right. In the sixth, Pennsbury knotted the score on Fang’s sacrifice fly.
Fang (2-for-3, 2B, 3B, 2 runs, 2 RBIs), Hirsh (2-for-3, 2 RBIs) and Freeman (2-for-4) led the Falcons’ attack.
Fang threw the first four innings, allowing five hits and five runs – all unearned. He struck out seven and walked one. Kayden Faulcon closed out the game with three scoreless innings, allowing one hit while striking out six and walking two.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 10, FRANKLIN REGIONAL (Pa.) 0
Alex Wilkie-Viscio needed just 71 pitches to go the distance in Saturday’s non-league contest in Vero Beach, scattering six hits in the seven-inning shutout win.
“Alex was in complete command on the mound,” PW coach Chris Manero said. “To need only 71 pitches in seven innings speaks for itself, but watching the way he did it was even more impressive. He kept hitters off balance and was methodical from start to finish.”
Wilkie-Viscio had plenty of run support on a day that saw the Colonials pound out 12 hits. Michael Miller led the hit parade with a perfect 4-for-4 day that included an RBI and two runs scored. Joe Redmond – who bats behind Miller in the order – was 3-for-3 with two runs scored while Jesse Jaconski was 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored.
“With Miller, Jaconski and Redmond getting nine hits in the middle of the lineup, we were able to score in bunches and eventually open the game up,” Manero said. “We had big contributions off the bench late in the game, we put down some outstanding bunts and induced some big double plays behind our pitcher.”
In the top of the second, back-to-back-to-back singles by Miller, Redmond and Dominic DiCiurcio loaded the bases with none out. A bases-loaded walk to Johnny Giordano pushed a run across, and the Colonials led 2-0 when Redmond scored on a double play.
It was a 3-0 game in the third when Miller singled home Jaconski, who had singled earlier in the inning. A five-run sixth included back-to-back-to-back singles by Miller and Redmond, and the bases were loaded when DiCiurcio was safe on an error. A bases-loaded walk to Tyler Gartland plated Miller, and after another run crossed the plate on a wild pitch, Lincoln Sharpe delivered a two-run single. A fifth run crossed the plate on Jaconski’s RBI single.
The Colonials added two more runs in the top of the seventh.
“We had big contributions off the bench late in the game, we put down some outstanding bunts and induced some big double plays behind our pitcher,” Manero said. “Leaving Florida 2-0 feels good, but we know it is just the start of a long road ahead.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 10, WILLIAM TENNENT 0 (6 innings)
Trey Sajeski tossed five shutout innings and Chase Ennis closed it out with a one-two-three sixth, striking out a pair. Sajeski allowed just one hit in five brilliant innings, striking out 11 and walking one.
The Golden Hawks scored all the runs they would need in a three-run first. Keith Lippincott collected a one-out single and stole second. He scored when Matthew Camp singled. Trey Wallner’s RBI triple to center gave the Hawks a 2-0 lead, and when Kyle Bruck singled home Andrew Rubin, who had singled, Rock South led 3-0.
In a two-run second, the Golden Hawks benefitted from three walks as well as singles from Ryan Bauerle, Lippincott and Camp (RBI). The Golden Hawks led 6-0 when Camp, who tripled, scored on a wild pitch in the fourth inning.
The Golden Hawks added two more runs in the fifth, thanks to an inside the park solo home run to right field by Benjamin Haines and an RBI single by Camp to plate Lippincott, who doubled. A two-run double by Bauerle brought an early end to the game in the bottom of the sixth.
Lippincott (3-for-4, 2B, 1 run), Bauerle (3-for-5, 2B, 2 runs, 2 RBIs) and Camp (3-for-3, 2B, 2 runs, 3 RBIs) led the Golden Hawks’ 15-hit attack. Bruck was 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 6, HOLY GHOST PREP 3
The Indians managed just four hits but put six runs on the board, enough to defeat the visiting Firebirds in Saturday’s non-league opener.
Collin Williams turned in a strong outing on the mound, allowing just one hit in four innings while striking out eight and walking two.
The Indians collected a leadoff single in the first, but that base runner was erased attempting to steal. Still, they managed to push a pair of runs across, benefitting from four free passes. They added a run in the second with Austin Stalker’s double to center the only hit in the inning.
It was a trend that continued as the Indians managed just two more hits the rest of the way.
Stalker accounted for three of his team’s four hits out of the leadoff spot. He finished the day 3-for-3 with two doubles and a run scored.

Ethan Cohen had himself a day for the Knights, going 4-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored. As a team, the Knights had just eight hits with Cohen accounting for half of them.
The Knights took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, thanks to a Cohen single, but the Hillers answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning. The Knights had a three-spot of their own in the third to go on top 4-3. Cohen was again in the middle of the action, singling and eventually scoring on an error. James Mangine had an RBI single in the inning.
That 4-3 lead stood until the fifth when the Knights added a pair of runs on Ben Farley’s two-run single. The Hillers evened the score 6-6 with three runs in the bottom of the inning.
