Harry S Truman 13, Central Bucks South 8
Four runs in the third and then a seven-spot in the fifth were the difference as Truman exploded with 13 runs on 17 hits to get past host CB South on Monday.
Logan Pizzullo went 4-for-4 with three RBIs to lead Truman, while Joey Wright was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI. George Cairns, Will Brennan, and Mekai Jackson had two hits each.
Trailing 2-1, the top of the third turned the tide in the Tigers’ favor. James Baker hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game, and a Jackson single two batters later plated two to give Truman the lead. Pizzullo’s RBI single later made it a 5-2 game.
CB South cut it 5-3 in the fourth, but Truman countered with seven in the top of the fifth. Abington 4, New Hope-Solebury 0
Anthony Ehly went six strong innings and combined with reliever Pat McCalister for a four-hit shutout as the Galloping Ghost scored early and played error-less defense on the way to the victory.
Ehly allowed just three hits and walked one in a 94-pitch, six-inning outing. He struck out nine, allowed only two base runners past first and never faced more than four batters in one inning.
McCalister allowed a walk and double but got out of it, stranding runners on second and third and finishing New Hope off in the seventh inning.
The win was the forth in a row for Abington
Offensively, the Ghosts started quickly with two in the bottom of the first. Goodson led off with a single and Luke Sydlowski walked. Later with two outs and the bases loaded, Henry Tyler hit a two-run single to score both.
That lead stood until the sixth, when they tacked on a pair of insurance runs. Matt Worek drove in one with a sacrifice fly, and Cody Frazier followed with an RBI double to right.
Liam Griffith was 2-for-3 with a double for New Hope, and was also the hard-luck losing pitcher on the mound, as he rebounded from the slow start to give the Lions five quality innings before running out of gas in the sixth.
Abington (6-4, 3-2 SOL) returns to action Wednesday at Springfield Township. New Hope (6-6, 3-2) hosts Hatboro-Horsham on Wednesday.

The unbeaten Colonials scored 12 runs on just five hits but were opportunistic from start to finish in this one, taking advantage of six
walks, a hit batter and three errors on their way to their 10th straight win without a loss.
Three of PW’s hits were home runs. Jack Hildebrand hit a three-run homer in the first to make it a 4-0 game early. Joe Jaconski hit a two-run home run in the third, his fifth of the season, and in the fifth, Jesse Jaconski hit his fourth homer of the year, a three-run shot to make it 12-2 and provide the final margin of victory in the mercy-rule shortened game.
“Joe and Jesse really set the tone for the rest of our lineup,” said Colonials coach Chris Manero. “Their approach and their patience at the plate is paying major dividends.
“They take pressure off of some of the other guys, but they also complement them in a lot of ways. They have big hit potential, and when we get runners on base from other spots in the lineup, they can do even more damage.”
Joe Jaconski, who is hitting .667 with 21 RBIs in 10 games, went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, three runs scored and two walks. Jesse Jaconski wnet 1-for-2 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Hildebrand had one hit and four RBIs.

Upper Dublin 12, Upper Moreland 2
Offensively, the Flying Cardinals scored three runs in the first and 11 through the first three innings to leave no room for doubt in this one for the team’s fourth straight win after starting the season 0-7.
In all, Upper Dublin scored 12 runs on nine hits, winning this one in a mercy-rule shortened, five-inning game.
Karan Archarya’s two-run single in the top of the first opened the scoring, and then Archarya scored on an error.
Tristan Cairnes hit a two-run double in the second inning – the start of a 3-for-4, four-RBI game – to make it 5-0, and then the Cardinals scored six times in the third to completely blow the game wide open.
“Karan Acharya getting a big two-out single in the first inning, driving in two of his three RBIs got us going,” said UD coach Ed Wall. “(Kyle) Rizzo and (Nick) Lombardo combined to score seven runs. Cairnes was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and threw a gem. (Ethan) Madnick and (Leo) Soriano also drove in runs as well.”
Cairnes pitched all five innings for the Cardinals, allowing just two runs (unearned) on three hits and one walk, while striking out seven to pick up the win.
UD (4-7, 0-5 SOL) looks to make it five straight Tuesday at home against Lower Moreland. Upper Moreland (4-6, 2-3) plays at Quakertown on Wednesday.

Hatboro-Horsham 17, Cheltenham 2 (4 innings)
Eight runs in the second and seven in the third helped Hatboro-Horsham erase an early deficit to get past Cheltenham in a game shortened to four innings because of the mercy rule.
In just four innings, the Hatters pounded out 17 runs on 11 hits.
“Definitely nice to continue on the winning track,” said Hatters coach Pete Moore. “We took advantage of the free bases today and scored some runs. Offensively, we strung together good at bats and hit well with runners in scoring position.
“Our defense made the routine plays and our pitchers dominated the zone. Always good to have our pitchers trust our defense to make the routine plays.”
Noah Gremo had an RBI double for H-H in the third, while Trey Porter had a sac fly, and Jack Elwell had an RBI single. Errors plated two more and then Logan Fischer and Noah Schlosser made it 9-2 with a pair of RBI singles later in the inning.
Will Bruner’s three-run home run blew it wide open.
Bruner finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs, while Gremo was 3-for-3, and Schloser 2-for-3.
Ryan San Angelo was the winning pitcher for H-H, going the first three innings and striking out eight, while Christian Gear pitched a shutout fourth inning with two Ks.
“I grew a ton of respect for the Cheltenham coaches and what they are doing with their program today,” Moore said. “It is easy to do the right things and make your players act how you’d like when you are winning, but despite going through a rough stretch, they were as classy as it comes.”
H-H (5-6, 2-3 SOL) will look to make it three wins in a row when it plays at New Hope-Solebury on Wednesday. Cheltenham (0-8, 0-5) plays at Wissahickon.

Wissahickon 14, Lower Moreland 1 (5 innings)
The Trojans didn’t score in the first inning, but that didn’t deter them, as they scored three in the second and never looked back. Eight in the fifth blew the game wide open as coach Andy Noga’s squad exploded for 14 runs on 18 hits in a game shortened to five innings because of the mercy rule.

With the win, Wissahickon improved to 6-5 (3-2 SOL) on the season and will host Cheltenham on Wednesday. Lower Moreland slipped to 3-6 (2-3). The Lions play at Upper Dublin on Tuesday.

Bensalem 1, Central Bucks West 0
Pitching has helped carry Bensalem to an impressive eight straight wins to start the season, and that was the case again on Monday.
Ryan McLaughlin and Matt McShane proved a tough combination to deal with, as they combined on a two-hitter, while striking out eight.
McLaughlin allowed two hits and walked two over 5 1/3 innings, while striking out three in a 99-pitch outing. McShane came on and recorded the final five outs, striking out all five and ended up the winning pitcher.
“He was just throwing strikes,” said Bensalem coach Harry Daut about McLaughlin. “He just had a great game. He’s been pitching lights out. He’s been really pitching well and then McShane came in for an inning, and he did well.”
CB West’s Connor Dobos matched Bensalem zero for zero. In six shutout innings (97 pitches), Dobos scattered two hits and three walks, while striking out four.
“Connor Dobos threw another great game,” West coach Brian Weaver said. “He’s been an absolute bulldog this year. Our starting pitching for the last three weeks has been pretty strong, but unfortunately we aren’t giving them any support in the other phases of the game.”
The scoreless tie went into the bottom of the seventh, when singles by Ryan Rooney, Logan Young and Tyler Fischer loaded the bases with nobody out. Nate Rice followed with a single to center to score the game-winning run.
“Dobos for CB West – he pitched an awesome game,” Daut said. “He was really, really good today. They’re a solid team. They have a kid – (Andrew) Kohl – that can really hit. He’s a tough out. It was just a really good game.”
Bensalem (8-0, 3-0 SOL) plays at North Penn on Wednesday, while CB West (3-7, 3-2) looks to snap a three-game losing streak when it hosts Council Rock North.

Central Bucks East 20, Council Rock North 6
CB East was looking for a big offensive game and got one against the host Indians on Monday, scoring runs in every inning on the way to a 20-run, 16-hit effort.
Senior Jack Nugent continues to pound the ball for the Patriots, going 2-for-3 with two home runs, eight RBIs and three runs scored.
Freshman Reese Moody went 2-for-5 with four RBIs and four runs scored.
Joey Wilga and Nick Carter had three hits each, while Quinn Moody and Brett Young had two hits.
After scoring single runs in the first, second and third innings, East blew this one open with five runs in the top of the fourth, as Quinn and Reese Moody had RBIs and then Nugent belted a three-run home run to left.
Trailing 8-0, CR North did threaten to make it a game with four in the fourth thanks to a pair of errors and RBI singles by Pat Kusters, Austin Stalker and a RBI groundout by Josh Huddy, but East’s bats never stopped with three in the fifth, three in the sixth and six in the top of the seventh for the exclamation point.
Aidan Weaver picked up the win on the mound, allowing four runs (all unearned), scattering five hits and three walks, while striking out six.
Collin Manel was 2-for-3 with a RBI for CR North

CR North 000 420 0 – 6 6 4
North Penn 6, Council Rock South 0
North Penn scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth and senior left-hander Mike Lennon took care of the rest with an impressive three-hit shutout as the Knights played and won for the first time in 10 days after having two games postponed last week before COVID-related protocols.
“I think everybody was excited to get out there and just play,” said Knights coach Kevin Manero. “We were able to practice on Saturday and that helped. Once we got out there on the field, it felt like we hadn’t missed a beat.”
Lennon, a West Chester signee, allowed three hits and walked just one batter over seven innings, while striking out eight.
“He was outstanding,” Manero said. “He was outstanding against (CB East on April 16) also, but ended up making one bad pitch. Today, he threw a ton of strikes. I think 20 of 26 first-pitch strikes. He was very efficient.”
Offensively, Justin Egner made his first varsity start at third base and went 2-for-3 with a RBI.
“It was his first high school start,” Manero said. “He played outstanding third base defensively, and was 2-for-3 at the plate. It’s a great example of one guy getting his chance and making the most of it.”
After a leadoff walk, Sam Cohen drove home the first run of the fourth inning with a triple to center field. Jack Picozzi followed with an RBI single, an error scored another run, Evin Sullivan had an RBI single, Jeff Sabater was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and then a sac fly by Ethan Cohen made it a 6-0 game.
Joey Purcell had two of CR South’s hits, going 2-for-3.
North Penn (5-3, 2-3) hosts unbeaten Bensalem on Wednesday. CR South (4-4, 2-2) plays at Pennridge.

Neshaminy 7, Pennridge 1
Offensively, two runs in the third got Neshaminy going and pitcher Justus Agosto took care of the rest.
Agosto dominated for five innings, allowing one hit, working around five walks and striking out seventh before giving way to Matt Mays, who pitched the sixth and seventh innings, allowing just one run (unearned).
It was Neshaminy’s sixth straight win.
“Justus was dominant on the mound, allowing one hit – in the fifth inning,” said coach Dan Toner. “Offensively, we were on point, moving runners, getting the right reads on the bases and then getting the runners in. A lot of players stepped up in key situations.”
Chris James and Gaige Ryan both singled to put the first two runners on in the Neshaminy third.
A two-out, two run single to left by Mike Donato gave the team the 2-0 lead.
A four-run fifth essentially put the game out of reach. Jake Oberholtzer walked with the bases loaded, Matt Edwards drove in one with a fielder’s choice grounder, one scored on an error and then James singled home one more to make it 6-0.
For the game, James and Donato led the way with two hits each.
Neshaminy (7-1) is back in action on Wednesday when it hosts Souderton. Pennridge (2-8) hosts Council Rock South.

Pennsbury 12, Souderton 8
When the two teams combined for 10 runs in the first inning, it was a sign of things to come and Pennsbury had too much fire power in this one, eventually pulling away for the four-run win on the road Monday.

Dante Bruno and Alex Morales had two hits and two RBIs to lead Souderton, while Shanley Wall and Luke Pollock added two hits each as well.
The first inning was a slugfest, starting with Pennsbury’s five runs in the top half, thanks to a bases loaded double by Limongelli and an RBI single by Tiroly. The Falcons also took advantage of four walks and a wild pitch.
Souderton answered with five of its own in the bottom of the first, all with two outs. A Pollock single was followed by a pair of walks and then an RBI single by Justin DiCesare, a two-run double by Bruno and two more runners crossing on an error.
Pennsbury took the lead with two in the second on an error and a Tiroly RBI single and one in the third on an RBI double by Fang. Fang’s two-run homer in the fifth made it a 10-5 game, and then after Souderton rallied to get as close as 10-8 after sixth, the Falcons put the game away on a two-run home run by Evans.
Alex Martin came on in relief in the first inning and ended up going four for Pennsbury to pick up the win. Jake Schilling threw two scoreless innings of relief to finish the game off.
