BENSALEM 6, ABRAHAM LINCOLN 2
The Owls just keep on rolling.
In Saturday’s non-league contest, they used a five-run third inning to seize control of the game. Scott Rooney, Rich Bordone, Ed Aldrich, Austin Shay and Nickolas Kiesling all contributed RBIs in the frame.
Shay was the lone Owl with multiple hits, finishing 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Nick Fossile – who earned the win – got the start and allowed just one hit in four scoreless innings. He struck out four and walked two.
Bensalem (10-1, 7-1 SOL) will host Council Rock North on Tuesday.

PENNSBURY 4, HOPEWELL VALLEY (N.J.) 1
Three Pennsbury pitchers combined on a three-hitter, and the Falcons scored all the runs they would need in a two-run first. A double by RJ Huth drove in the first run that knotted the score 1-1. The go-ahead run crossed the plate on Max Crown’s RBI single. Justin Massielo singled home a run in the second to put the Falcons on top 3-1. Massielo drove in the game’s final run in the fifth.
Massielo (2-for-3, 2 RBIs) and Huth (2-for-3, 2B, RBI, run) led the Falcons at the plate.
Jon Papp started and allowed one hit and one run in two innings, striking out one and walking two. Sean Hochhauster allowed two hits in 4.2 shutout innings. He walked one. Zach DeMarchis closed it out and earned the save, striking out one.
Pennsbury (8-5, 4-4 SOL) will be on the road at Souderton for a crossover game on Tuesday.

QUAKERTOWN 5, ALLENTOWN CENTRAL CATHOLIC 4
With the score deadlocked at four in the bottom of the seventh, Dennis Pierce delivered a one-out RBI single to give the Panthers the walk-off win.
The Panthers trailed 4-2 heading into the fifth inning when they pushed across a pair to knot the score. Nolan Byrnes doubled home a run in the inning.
Coach Jon Pallone used the non-league game to give 15 Panthers at bats. Sean Brennan (2-for-3, 2B, 3 runs) was the lone player with more than one hit. Mason Hicks and Justin Butler both singled and drove in one run.
Samuel Rice – who earned the win – gave the Indians four shutout innings in relief, allowing one hit while striking out two and walking four.
Quakertown (8-2, 7-1 SOL) will travel to Hatboro-Horsham on Tuesday.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 6, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 4 (Suspended Game)
Saturday night’s non-league game between the neighboring rivals at Trenton Thunder Stadium was suspended in the top of the fifth inning with the bases loaded and none out. Play will be resumed at a date and time to be determined.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 5, SOUDERTON 4
The Colonials scored three runs in the top of seventh to erase a 4-2 Souderton lead, propelling PW to the come-from-behind non-league win.
The Colonials pulled to within one when pinch hitter Mike Orensky singled to left to plate Steve Longo, who had singled. A bases-loaded walk to Blake Rosen knotted the score, and a run that turned out to be the game winner crossed the plate when Anthony Tomassetti drew a free pass with the bases loaded.
Earlier, the Indians got on the scoreboard first in the second inning when Ryan Dalton tripled to plate a run. The Colonials scored single runs in both the fourth and fifth innings, but the Indians answered with a three-run fifth to go on top 4-2. Highlights of the inning included a home run by David Gulibon and an RBI triple from Luke Barnum.
Steve Blum earned the win in relief, allowing just one hit and one run in three innings. He struck out six and walked four.
Matt Mitchell led the Colonials with a 2-for-4 effort that included an RBI. Longo was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored. Brad Krenicky singled and drove in a run.
For the Indians, Barnum was 1-for-2 with a triple and two RBIs.
Brian Janetka started for the Indians and did not allow a hit in 3.1 shutout innings. He fanned six and walked one.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (8-5, 5-4 SOL) will be on the road at Springfield Township, and Souderton (7-5, 4-3) will host Pennsbury in a cross-over game on Tuesday.
