Pennridge fell to Lower Merion in Friday’s District 1 6A third place game.

The visiting Rams – behind seven points from Jon Post – led 15-13 after one quarter but saw that lead disappear in a second quarter that saw the Aces go on a 22-12 tear The Aces took a 35-27 lead into halftime. The teams exchanged baskets in the second half, and the Rams could not make up the ground they lost.
Sean Yoder’s 18 points – 16 in the second half – led the Rams. Post added 14 points and Jack Gillespie had 11, including three three-pointers. John Dominic chipped in six points.
Pennridge (23-5 11-1 SOL) will take on District 12’s fourth place team in next Saturday’s opening round of the PIAA 6A Tournament.
