#3-2 SHIPPENSBURG 56, #1-4 UPPER MORELAND 46
It was the tale of two halves for the Golden Bears.
UM scored just six points in the opening quarter, and the Bears found themselves on the short end of a 29-16 score at halftime.
The second half was another story entirely, and the Golden Bears made things real interesting by going on a 26-16 tear that trimmed Shippensburg’s lead to three with just over three minutes remaining. But that’s as close as they would get, and Shippensburg held on for the win.
Byron Hopkins scored 13 points to lead a balanced UM attack. Stefano Garofalo added 12 points and Matt Tiernan had 11.
Upper Moreland closed out its season with a 15-11 record. The Golden Bears were 9-7 in SOL play.
