Non-league
UPPER MORELAND 53, FRANKLIN TOWNE CHARTER 30
The Golden Bears seized control of Monday’s non-league game early, roaring out of the gate to a 25-5 lead. They took a 34-15 lead into halftime. Franklin Towne Charter never threatened.
Byron Hopkins, Beau Woollens and Jahire Johnson all scored 10 points. Christian O’Donnell and Tyler Ibbotson both added nine in a scoring effort that was the definition of balance.
Upper Moreland (7-3, 2-2 SOL) will travel to Springfield Township on Tuesday.

HOLY GHOST PREP 53, NESHAMINY 47 (OT)
Brandon Belton buried a three-pointer with two seconds remaining in regulation to knot the score in dramatic fashion. Unfortunately for the Redskins, that would be their last hurrah as the visiting Firebirds won the extra period 10-4.
“It was a hard-fought game,” said coach Mark Tingle said. “We had good opportunities in overtime. We just didn’t take advantage of them.”
The Firebirds, who led 14-9 at halftime, took a 23-19 lead into halftime. They still led 29-26 heading into the final frame when the Redskins – behind Belton’s heroics – rallied to knot the score.
Belton – who had just six points in the first half – turned in a stellar 17-point performance for the Redskins, connecting on 5-of-8 from beyond the arc. He also pulled down five rebounds.
Kyle Saglimbem also finished in double figures with 11 points. He added five rebounds. Damon McGovern and Matt Drapkin each added six points. The Redskins connected on eight three-pointers.
Holy Ghost Prep was led by Jack Rittenmeyer (13 points) and Sean Sylvester (10 points).

The Panthers might have gotten an idea it was going to be a rough night when they scored just three points in the first quarter, falling behind 11-3 after one frame. Things didn’t improve a whole lot after that, and they trailed 36-17 at halftime.
“We didn’t shoot well at all,” coach Patrick Fleury said. “It’s hard to run when you’re not getting stops. We struggled from the floor, and it showed on our defense as well.
“This hopefully will wake us up and tune us back into what we need to do. It was an off night for us, and to that point, we have got to go back to the drawing board and keep fighting.”
Zahree Harrison (11 points) and Tim Myarick (10 points) led the Panthers.
