CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 58, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 49
The Titans – less than 24 hours removed from their huge win over previously unbeaten CB East – raced out of the gate to a 20-5 lead and then held off the Indians for the non-league win.
Six players contributed scoring in the Titans’ big first quarter with Cole DiEmilio and Brett Barrett both connecting on a three and scoring five points.
Grady Burt – whose 23 points led the Indians – scored eight points in a 15-3 second quarter outburst by Rock North that made it a 23-20 game at the intermission.
South outscored the Indians 18-15 in the third quarter and took a 41-35 lead into the fourth quarter when they outscored their visitors by three on their way to the win.
Key players: Brett Barrett (14 points) and Kayoda Adebayo (12 points) led a balanced Titan attack that saw nine players contribute scoring.
Grady Burt’s 23 points led Rock North while Owen Crowne added 14 points.
Central Bucks South coach Louie Ditri: “We had a strong start and very good first quarter. We were flat the second quarter, and that was because I was coaching less aggressive, and the players lost their edge.
“(Rock North coach) Derek Wright did a great job of getting his players back in the game. We refocused at halftime and played well in the second half.
–Props: “Brett Barrett had a good game with 14 points and strong defense while Kayode Adebayo had 12 points.”
Up next: Central Bucks South (4-3, 1-0 SOL) will travel to North Penn on Tuesday, and Council Rock North (1-5, 0-1) will host Neshaminy on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 88, NEW FOUNDATIONS CHARTER 26
Less than 24 hours after a 24-point loss to Central Bucks South, the Patriots bounced back from that setback with a dominant, no-doubt-about-it win over New Foundations Charter.
“It was good to get right back on the court after Friday’s disappointment,” East coach Erik Henrysen said. “I thought we played our worst basketball in a long time in the final 10 minutes versus South. It was tied in the third, and then the wheels fell off. We were disconnected and didn’t play together and for each other.
“I had an incredible conversation with Nolan Behm before (today’s) game. He’s one of our leaders and stepped up to communicate for the group. He’s embracing responsibility for the group. Playing for each other was the theme and we responded today with 28 assists.”
The Patriots took care of business in a hurry in Saturday’s non-league contest, opening up a 36-8 advantage after one quarter on their way to the lopsided win. Included in East’s blistering offensive outburst in the first were nine 3-pointers. Shane O’Hara-Jamison, Graham Smith and Nolan Behm combined for 23 of the 36 first-quarter points.
Izzy Schwartz’s 10 points included the first varsity points of his career. He also had six rebounds.
East had 28 assists on 33 field goals.
In addition to scoring nine points, Keegan Marascio had seven rebounds and five assists. Quinn Slack had eight points and five assists.
Central Bucks East coach Erik Henrysen: “New Foundations was short-handed today, missing two starters, but our guys were only concerned with our team. We came out hot and put the game away right in the first.”
Up next: Central Bucks East (4-1, 0-1 SOL) will host Pennridge on Tuesday.

The Hatters were within striking distance for the better part of four quarters but came up short in Saturday’s non-league game.
Despite the outcome, coach Bill Coleman – tasked with the job of turning the struggling program around – had no complaints about his team’s effort.
“Despite the result, it was a much better overall team effort today,” the Hatters’ first-year coach said. “We have to continue to focus in on those little things which ultimately help to win games.
“We are getting them all on the same page…they have so much more room for growth.”
Ryan Smith and Shane Phillips combined for eight 3-pointers with each connecting on four. Smith’s 14 points led the Hatters, and Phillips finished with 12. Jaden Thompson added nine points.
