In a contest that featured 6-6 Florida commit DeAundrae Ballard, it was PW sophomore Naheem McLeod stealing the spotlight. The 6-11 center had a breakout performance, leading all scorers with 24 points. He connected on 8-of-13 from the foul line.
Behind seven points from Cheo Houston and six from McLeod, the Colonials led 15-10 after one quarter. By halftime, their lead had grown to 35-26. McLeod accounted for 12 of those points while Ahmin Williams added 11 – nine in the torrid second quarter.
The Colonials added to their lead with a 23-18 third quarter, going on top 58-44. Once again, McLeod was in the middle of the action, contributing 10 points while Houston added five and Ahmin and Ahmad Williams both had four points.
Atlanta Christian outscored the Colonials 20-10, but it was too little too late.
Ahmin Williams finished the game with 18 points, and Houston had 14. Kevin Tilghman chipped in seven points in a contest that saw just five players contribute scoring.
Ballard led Atlanta Christian with 22 points.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (7-1, 2-0 SOL) will host Hatboro-Horsham on Tuesday.

The Falcons came up short in Friday’s contest against Chester but proved they could play with the Clippers. With just under three minutes to play, they trailed by just one (45-44) but would get no closer.
Earlier, the Falcons led 18-6 after one quarter, but the Clippers responded with a 12-6 second quarter run to go into halftime with a 28-24 lead. They added to that lead in the third quarter before the Falcons came roaring back to make it a one-point game in the fourth quarter.
Mark Flagg (20 points) and Addison Howard (16 points) both had big games for the Falcons.
The Clippers had three players in double figures – Jamar Sudan (18), Jordan Camper (14) and Michael Smith (10).
Pennsbury (5-3, 1-1 SOL) will travel to Council Rock South on Tuesday for a key SOL National Conference battle.

NEUMANN-GORETTI 71, ABINGTON 43
Twenty-four hours after their emotional win over Chester, the Ghosts were back on the court taking on another perennial state power. The Ghosts led 15-12 after one quarter but the rest of the night belonged to the Saints. The Ghosts found themselves on the short end of a 29-21 score at halftime, and they trailed 49-34 heading into the final quarter. The Ghosts still trailed 51-38 with 5:56 remaining, but the Saints closed it out with a 20-5 tear.
Eric Dixon carried the offensive load for the Ghosts with a team high 21 points. Lucas Munroe had seven points, eight rebounds and four assists while Robbie Heath had six points, five rebounds and eight assists.
One night after burying 5-of-10 shots from beyond the arc, the Ghosts connected on just 2-of-16 shots from long range on Friday. They were 18-of-52 from the field for the game.
It was the fourth time this season the Ghosts have played back-to-back games. They are 5-3 in those contests with all three of those losses coming on the second day.
Abington (7-3, 2-0 SOL) will host Harry S Truman on Tuesday.
