NESHAMINY 9, CONWELL-EGAN 2
Sparked by the five-goal, one-assist effort of Lucas Maher, the Redskins rolled to the no-doubt-about-it win over the Eagles in a non-league game Monday.
“Lucas Maher is playing well,” Neshaminy coach John Donato said. “He’s a big body player who has recently been effective understanding spacing
and recognizing when to dodge. He has worked hard to improve his shooting efficiency and increase his shot velocity.”
The Redskins, who led 2-1 after one quarter, took a 5-1 lead into halftime and added to that lead in the second half.
In addition to Maher, Jared Edmister had one goal and two assists, and Jack McVey added a goal and an assist. Ryan DeMatteo and Liam Ames each had one goal while Jack Sexton and Colin Demi both had one assist.
“Jack Sexton was once again tenacious off the ground consistently winning possessions and running successful clears,” Donato said. “Brett Cohen and Jackson Schwartz were solid on defense and securing ground balls.”
Neshaminy (6-6, 1-5 SOL) will host Souderton on Tuesday.
