Keith Conner had a night to remember.
The senior attackman’s five goals and two assists led the Titans and also included the 100th point of his career.
The Titans needed a big night from Conner.
“We started slow tonight and lost two key midfielders to injury in the first half,” South coach Mike Strayline said. “We were down 4-2 midway in the second quarter, and the guys rallied to take a 6-4 halftime lead.
In the third quarter, the Titans outscored their visitors 3-0 to go into the final quarter with a five-goal lead on their way to the win.
“Our defense was awesome in the third quarter and held them scoreless while the offense opened up a 9-4 lead,” said Strayline, lauding the standout efforts of Conner and Depedro.
Depedro had a big night at the faceoff X, going 11-for-15. He also had one goal, one assist and was credited with seven ground balls.
Landon Amorim added two goals and one assist, Mark Egen had two goals, and Matt Waltrich had one goal for the Titans.
Also for the Titans, John Henson led the defense with two caused turnovers and three ground balls while Jeremy Collachi and James Vargason both had two caused turnovers and two ground balls. Hayden Weston had one caused turnover.
South’s Dom Varacallo was credited with 12 saves in a winning effort in goal.

Coatesville 11, Abington 6
The Ghosts played the visiting Red Raiders even in the second half but couldn’t make up for the ground they lost in a first half that saw Coatesville open up a 6-1 lead.
“We played a lot better in the second half,” Abington coach Mike Duffy said. “They kept fighting, they kept battling – it was 3-0 us in the fourth quarter.
“It was a super physical game, really hard fought. Coatesville moved really well off ball and found the net.”
Despite the outcome, the Ghosts’ coach saw things he liked in the second half.
“Our defense really tightened it up in the second half and played a lot better,” Duffy said. “It was a team effort. Liam Penderghest was playing LSM for the most part, and he did a great job clearing the ball, a lot of single efforts. Same with his brother Connor Penderghest, Bobby Zuccato and Owen Auchey – all three of them played close defense and had great games, one-on-one defense.”
Midfielder Matt Miller led the Ghosts with a four-point game that included three goals and one assist. Midfielder Liam Cabry had two goals and one assist, and Pat Gleason added an unassisted goal but was forced to leave the game with an injury after scoring.
Abington (1-6, 1-0 SOL) will travel to Upper Dublin on Thursday.
