SOL National Conference
Central Bucks East 13, Council Rock North 2
The visiting Patriots led wire to wire to earn the decisive win, putting an exclamation point on a perfect SOL National Conference championship season. East led 7-0 at halftime and then outscored the host Indians 6-2 after the intermission.
A key to the win was the dominant performance at the faceoff X of Nils Updale, who won 17 of 19 faceoffs.
Jonah Osborne scored four goals to lead a balanced attack and Joey Stella also had a four-point game with three goals and one assist. It was Stella putting the Patriots on the board, using a Nicholas Knepp assist, and then Shane McEntire connected on back-to-back goals in a 90-second span – the first unassisted and the second with a Stella assist.
Osborne closed out the period with back-to-back goals to put the Patriots on top 5-0, using assists from Knepp and Luke Christmas. Goals by Mark Lapioli and Stella sent the Patriots into halftime with a 7-0 lead on their way to the decisive win.
Michael Skulsky contributed two goals and two assists – all in the second half. Knepp had a goal and two assists, and McEntire finished with a pair of goals. Mark Lapioli added a single goal to close out the scoring.
Evan Bullotta (six ground balls, three caused turnovers) and Ryan McCauley (six ground balls, four caused turnovers) led a relentless East defensive effort. Lapioli also was a force with three ground balls and three caused turnovers. Brennan Coleman had a pair of caused turnovers while Chris Funston had a ground ball and one caused turnover. Ethan Greenlee also had a caused turnover. Knepp and Christmas each had one ground ball.
Ryan Kueny had 11 saves in goal for the Patriots.
Central Bucks East (13-3, 10-0 SOL) – seventh in the latest District One 3A power rankings – will travel to Upper Dublin for a non-league game on Friday. Council Rock North (12-3, 7-3) will host Plymouth Whitemarsh in a non-league game on Thursday. The Indians are ranked 15th in the power rankings.

Pennsbury 11, North Penn 6
Jack Kalinowski scored four goals and assisted on two others to lead the visiting Falcons to the win in Tuesday’s regular season finale. Avery Dysart added two goals and an assist, and Kolby Ranniello also had a pair of goals for the Falcons, who led 6-4 at the end of one quarter. It was still a 6-4
game at halftime, and the Falcons outscored their hosts 5-2 in the second half to put a damper on North Penn’s Senior Night.
“It was a crazy game,” Pennsbury coach Dean Curtis said. “Ten goals in the first quarter and then the defenses settled in. I am proud of how our guys responded to their zone and defensive pressure.
“Our defensive midfielders did a great job in the clearing game. Pat Kirk, Reece Millman, Jeff Pirog and Troy Haynes were key to gaining important possessions when North Penn gained some momentum. I’m proud of our seniors finishing the regular season on a high note.”
Also for the Falcons, Pat Kirk had a goal and an assist and six ground balls. Will Taylor and Kyle Rinehimer each added a goal. Reece Millman had six ground balls and three
caused turnovers. Ryan DeZutel won 10 of 17 faceoffs and also had four ground balls. Nico Cione was credited with eight saves in goal in a winning effort.
For the Knights, Jake Henrysen had two goals and one assist, and Dakari Luby added one goal and two assists. Caleb Moister, Lars Homan and Ryan McCann each added a goal. Matt Kuhn kept the Knights in it with 18 saves in goal.
Pennsbury closed out its regular season with a 12-3 record. The Falcons are 8-2 in SOL National Conference play in sole possession of second place behind CB East. They are 11th in the latest District One 3A power rankings. North Penn (7-9, 4-6) will host Methacton in a non-league contest to close out its regular season. The Knights are 26th in the latest district power rankings. Twenty-four teams will be in the tournament field.

Central Bucks South 7, Central Bucks West 6
The Bucks eked out a hard fought win in a seesaw battle with their neighboring rival. The Titans were strong out of the gate, opening up a 3-1 lead after one period. The Bucks returned the favor in the second, and the two teams were deadlocked 4-4 at halftime.
In the end, the difference in the game was a third quarter that saw the Bucks edge their visitors 2-1. Both teams scored one goal in the fourth quarter.
Jeff Woosnam’s hat trick led the Bucks. Connor Albrecht, Brayden Albrecht, Austin Hahn and Landon Albrecht each added one goal. Brayden Albrecht and Matt Jacobsen each had an assist. Jacobsen won 3 of 12 faceoffs.
Evan Hee was credited with 11 saves in goal for the Bucks.
For the Titans, Nick Fareno had two goals while Evan Jacobsen and Cole Cenci both added a goal and an assist. John Fitts and Logan Dunn each had one goal.
Chris Moore had another big night at the faceoff X, winning 11 of 16 faceoffs. South goalie Gavin Ostroff was credited with 12 saves.
Central Bucks West (8-8, 6-4 SOL) will travel to Springfield Township for a non-league game on Wednesday. Central Bucks South (10-4, 7-3) will travel to Wissahickon for a non-league game on Thursday.

SOL American Conference
Wissahickon 17, Plymouth Whitemarsh 5
The Trojans put the finishing touches on a perfect SOL American Conference title run with a resounding win over the Colonials. They wasted no time before jumping out to a 10-0 lead, and it looked as though they might score on every possession. The first quarter ended with the Trojans on top 13-1. The Trojans cleared the bench to start the second quarter for the second straight game and went on to earn the 17-5 win.
The Trojans have a senior-laden team that’s been waiting to show what they are capable of. Nine Trojans scored in Tuesday’s win, led by Kyle Lehman with four goals and two assists. Jackson Intrieri had one goal and four assists. Dean Wolfe had four goals, and Nick Donofrio had three. Jake Slackman added one goal and two assists. EJ Schreiner, Brody Meyers and Jason Michaels all had one goal and one assist, and Gavin Meyers had one goal.
Wissahickon (12-4, 9-0 SOL) will host Central Bucks West in a non-league game Thursday at 7 p.m., and Plymouth Whitemarsh (4-9, 4-6) will travel to Council Rock South on Wednesday.

Upper Moreland 18, Quakertown 0
The Golden Bears won just five games two years ago when last they had a season, only two in conference play. A whole lot has changed since then, and UM closed out its conference season Tuesday with a shutout win over the Panthers to notch their 13th win of the season – eighth against just two losses in conference play.
Owen Dunlevy led the Golden Bears with five goals and two assists while Ryan Olexa and Joseph Messina both had three goals and two assists. Adding one goal and one assist were Logan Taylor, Ryan Veneziale, and Colin Hogan while Justin Drinkwater, Joe Marczak and Bryan Thomas each had one goal. Contributing one assist were Jon Knight, Matt Tiernan and Alex Emmell.
UM goalie Matt Ludlow was credited with three saves in the shutout win.
The Golden Bears are third in the latest District One 2A power rankings.
Upper Moreland (13-4, 8-2 SOL) will host Methacton in a non-league game on Thursday, and Quakertown (1-14, 0-9) will host Boyertown in a non-league game on Thursday.

The visiting Cardinals raced out to an 8-1 lead and never looked back on their way to the decisive win in Tuesday’s conference finale.
For the Spartans, Luke Gozzard had a goal and an assist while Alex Vecchione, Eli Rubincam and Cameron Dennis had one goal each. Patrick McMahon (six saves) and Carter Weiss (four saves) shared time in goal.
Upper Dublin (10-5, 8-1 SOL) will host Radnor in a non-league game Thursday. The Flying Cardinals are 19th in the latest District One 3A power rankings. Springfield Township (7-8, 4-5) will host Central Bucks West in a non-league game Wednesday. The Spartans are seventh in the District One 2A rankings. Eight teams will comprise the tournament field.

The Golden Bears – who led 5-2 after one quarter – took an 8-3 lead into halftime and then outscored their visitors 7-3 in the second half.
Ryan Olexa’s three goals and one assist led a balanced UM attack. Joseph Messina and Joe Marczak also both had four-point games with two goals and two assists. Colin Logan added two goals and one assist, William O’Neill and Owen Dunlevy each contributed two goals while Matt Tiernan had one goal and one assist. Logan Taylor had one goal, and Alex Emmell contributed a pair of assists.
Matt Ludlow was credited with eight saves in goal in the win.

Non-league
New Hope-Solebury 9, Holy Ghost Prep 8
Jace Caponegro and Kyle McLaughlin each contributed a hat trick to lead the Lions to the non-league win over the visiting Firebirds.
The Lions, who led 2-0 after one period, took a 7-1 lead into halftime, and they needed every one of those goals as the Firebirds came roaring back, and what looked like an easy win turned out to be anything but as Holy Ghost outscored its host 7-2 after the intermission.
Also for the Lions, Maclolm Raupp, Nate Donahoe and James Dougherty tallied one goal each. Ryan Riggion was dominant at the faceoff.
NHS goalie Tanner Richmond had 17 saves in a standout effort. The Lions’ defense was led by Bryan Dougherty, Logan Manucci, Ian Macdonald and Franklin Phillips.
New Hope-Solebury (6-10) will travel to Father Judge for a non-league game on Wednesday.
