Non-league
Wissahickon 17, Central Bucks South 2
The Trojans hosted CB South on Senior Night with a large crowd on hand, and they exploded out of the gate in the first quarter, scoring seven straight goals. The seven seniors would not be denied on this night. The Trojans took an 11-1 halftime lead and never looked back winning by a final score of 17-2.
The seniors have been playing together since kindergarten, so this was a special night for them. Head Coach Matt Conway has been excellent all year drawing plays for the offense and defensive sets. Assistant coaches Steve Lehman and Rob Intrieri have been coaching the seniors since they were little kids, so it was a fun night for all.
Leading the attack was senior Jackson Intrieri, who had four goals and five assists. Kyle Lehman had six goals and one assist while seniors Brody Meyers and Dean Wolfe both had two goals and one assist. Andrew Slackman had two goals. Nick Donofrio had one goal and one assist and senior Matt Fritz had two assists.
Senior goalie Scott Pfeiffer recorded eight saves in the winning effort.
Other seniors who were major contributors in the game were EJ Schreiner, Alex Solomon and Ethan Glass.
Wissahickon (13-4, 9-0 SOL) – undefeated in SOL play – will travel to Perkiomen Valley for a non-league game in its regular season finale.
