Class 1A quarterfinals
#2 NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 8, #7 CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 0
It’s pretty much a whole new world for the Lions, who notched their first postseason victory since 2019 with a no-doubt-about-it win over Christian Academy.
If the Lions needed a jumpstart, Aramis Shire gave it to them, collecting a hat trick in record time with three goals in 14 minutes to open the game.
The Lions took a 3-0 lead into halftime and added four more goals in the second half. Shire collected his fourth goal while Luca Tersigni, Ryan Kearney, Thomas Marschall and Same Moore each had one goal. Joe Picone had three assists and Blake Duval had a pair of helpers.
With the win, the Lions advance to the Friday’s district semifinals where they will face Plumstead Christian.
