Upper Merion 5, Upper Moreland 1
Upper Merion finished its conference season in impressive fashion, exploding for four first half goals in their win over visiting Upper Moreland.
Five different players scored for the Vikings, who finish their season on Friday with an out-of-conference game.
"We had a lot of tough, close games early on, and our big issue most of the season was that we struggled in the first third (of the season) for a little bit," Upper Merion coach Tom Dodds said. "A lot of the games could've gone either way early on, so we played well for the most part in the middle and final third of the season. We built up nicely, but couldn't get it done in the end."
Despite a season that did not always net the results the Vikings wanted, things did go their way on Thursday.
Vito Vincent, Angelo Misseri, Alan Castillo, Ravi Tata and Will Borkowski all tallied goals for Upper Merion, which closed out conference play with a 4-9-1 mark (4-10-2 overall).
Kyle Roberts and Dylan Castillo split time in net for the Vikings, who led 4-1 at the half.
"As everyone does with a schedule with so many games, you're going to have a number of injuries, and we lost some key players this year," Dodds said. "It made it difficult and we were already young to begin with. We had two consistent senior starters, and as far as results, we just didn't get the ones we needed. We needed some of these games."
Upper Moreland's season ended at 0-13-4 and 0-11-3, respectively.
Upper Moreland 1 0 1
Upper Merion 4 1 5

Council Rock North 5, Bensalem 1
Council Rock North had reason to celebrate on Thursday, winning its season finale at Bensalem.
"North continues to improve year after year," said CR North coach Joseph Stackhouse, who took over the helm three years ago and has orchestrated the turnaround. "We lost three out-of-conference games by a single goal margin to teams that are all in the District One tournament, all of whom are at the top of their leagues."

"We scheduled tough and played a number of our younger guys on a daily basis to build for the future," Stackhouse said. "I wish we had another year with our seniors that are moving on, as they were great kids and worked to their potential every time they took the field. Every one of them is also a fantastic player in the classroom."

Pennridge 1, Quakertown 0
It was the good ending to a disappointing season for Pennridge, a team with a fantastic goalie, a great defense and just not quite enough offense, resulting in seven scoreless and 1-1 ties for the Rams.
Pennridge scored a late goal to break a scoreless tie and help the Rams come out with a win on Senior Night.
Justin Musco scored with eight minutes remaining in regulation to help Pennridge to its second win of the year.
"The ball came across and it was a bang-bang play,” Pennridge coach Pete Valimont said. “The goalie went to clear it, but Justin deflected it back in on a sliding kick.
"It was a real good game, and Quakertown played a really nice game. Their coach has done a great job with that team this season and I know they're young, but they battled in every single game."
Brody GIblin stopped all five shots that came his way to record the shutout for the Rams, whose season ended at 2-9-7 overall and 2-8-4 in conference play.
"I was really proud of our guys, especially the 14 seniors," Valimont said. "Everyone was a great teammate and tonight we gave a ton of effort. We didn't quit and we're happy with the result. We played our seniors a ton tonight and…well done. Season's over."
Quakertown finished the season 1-17-0 and 0-14-0, respectively.
