Non-league SOL crossover
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 1, UPPER DUBLIN 0 (OT)
An overtime goal by Jameson Durie broke a scoreless tie and propelled the Bucks to the dramatic win in Friday night’s regular season finale. The win capped a final week of the regular season that saw the Bucks win all three of their games, all three by shutout.
The win also evened the Bucks’ regular season record to 9-9 after opening the season with just two wins in their first eight games.
“To go from 2-6 to 9-9 with five of those games being in what is a really difficult division is something that all of our boys can be really proud of, and we’re playing our best soccer all season while also getting healthy at the right time,” West coach John Adair said.

Central Bucks West coach John Adair: “It was a really special night. Our group had a really rough start to the season despite playing well at times, and we’ve wrapped up the regular season on a real high, with three wins and three clean sheets this week to take us into (district) playoffs.
The game: “Despite the uneasy nature of tonight’s game being a must-win to get into the postseason, it was easily one of the most enjoyable games of high school soccer I’ve been a part of. Both teams really try to play a nice brand and play through the lines. I’ve got a lot of respect for Noah’s teams. They’re well coached and they have plenty of talent, which has been to our detriment with them ending our season both of the last two seasons at their place.
“We felt tonight was a great opportunity to get a different outcome, especially with us coming into the game off the high of consecutive wins against division rivals.
“It was a whole team effort tonight, and it goes without saying that our back line deserves a ton of credit for once again keeping a clean sheet. We’ve played this entire week without our leading goal scorer, so taking the pressure off our attack has been crucial for the success this week.”
–Props: “With that said, Jameson Durie needs a massive mention. He scored the game-winner so it may seem obvious, but he’s worked so hard and so selflessly all season. He’s rarely the person on the end of our goals but always seems to be involved, whether it be helping us to regain the ball high or linking play to get more numbers involved. If anyone deserved that moment tonight, it was him.”
Up next: Central Bucks West will travel to #7 Abington for an opening round game Tuesday, and Upper Dublin will be on the road at #9 Central Bucks East Tuesday (4pm).
