NORTH PENN 3, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 0
The Knights had an impressive debut in their first game in Crawford Stadium, posting a shutout in a non-league battle between the neighboring rivals.
Junior Nate Kim put the Knights on the scoreboard six minutes into the game when he got behind the defense and finished a nice through ball from Jim Perrin. Perrin put the Knights on top 2-0 when he scored on a volley from close range, volleying home a Nate Kim curling corner kick.
Just over 10 minutes into the second half, senior Jovani Gonzalez found the net on a free kick from 25 yards out for the 3-0 final.
Senior keeper Gabe Kemp earned the shutout. The Knights received excellent play from senior defenders Hunter Stites, Ryan Mindick, Achilles Triantyphilos and Ben Barbosa.
North Penn (1-0) will travel to Central Bucks West for Thursday’s SOL opener (3:30 p.m.).
