Boys
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 50, WISSAHICKON 48
The Patriots displayed a flair for the dramatic in Wednesday’s non-league game, escaping with a dramatic win over the Trojans when Jesse Rivera scored the go-ahead layup with two seconds remaining in regulation.
The Patriots, who led by one after the first quarter, outscored the Trojans 14-7 in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 29-23 lead. That lead was trimmed to two at the end of three quarters (37-35), and that turned out to be the final margin of victory, thanks to Rivera’s late-game heroics.
Kyle Cassidy led the Patriots with 18 points. Nick Roggio added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds. Ben Markowitz had eight rebounds, and Leo Masterson contributed seven.
For the Trojans, Max Rapoport had a huge night, leading all scorers with 23 points, which included four 3-pointers. Donovan Oliphant added eight points, and Eddie Fortescue had six.
Central Bucks East (10-7, 3-4 SOL) will travel to Pennridge on Friday, and Wissahickon (11-6, 6-3) will host Upper Dublin on Friday.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 70, SANKOFA FREEDOM ACADEMY 64
Shawn Blank was all but unstoppable in Wednesday’s non-league contest.
The Rock South junior broke the program’s single game scoring record with a dazzling offensive performance. Blank buried five 3-pointers and was a perfect 16-for-16 at the foul line for a game-high 31 points.
In a preview of things to come, Blank buried four 3-pointers in the first quarter and added a pair of foul shots. Led by Blank’s 14-point effort, the Golden Hawks led 16-9. Behind Blank’s 8-for-8 effort at the charity stripe and six points from Christian Jabbar, the Golden Hawks outscored their visitors 24-19 in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 40-28 advantage. They took a 54-40 lead into the final quarter that saw Sankofa Freedom close out the game with a 24-16 frame.
Also for the Golden Hawks, Christian Jabbar contributed 12 points, six assists and five steals. Zach Schade and Esteban Gomez led the Golden Hawks under the backboards with six rebounds each. Schade also had six points.
Council Rock South (4-11, 2-5 SOL) will travel to Harry S Truman on Friday night.

The Rams found themselves on the short end of a 20-19 score at halftime of Wednesday’s non-league game. They erased that deficit with a 12-5 third quarter to go on top 31-25 heading into the final frame that saw them outscore their visitors 18-15.
Sam Muredda (12 points) and Brooke Bachtle (10 points) led the Rams’ attack. Rose McCormick added seven points while Corinn Mart and Gill Anderson both had six points.
Pennridge (8-6, 2-4 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks East on Friday, and Wissahickon (6-9, 6-3) will be on the road at Upper Dublin on Friday.

Megan Bealer had the hot hand from downtown, burying five 3-pointers and finishing with a game-high 20 points to lead the Indians to the non-league win. Megan Walbrandt added 14 points, which included a pair of threes, and Alana Cardona contributed 13 points. Kate Connolly had seven points.
Jenkintown brought a perfect 15-0 record into Wednesday’s non-league game, and while the District One 1A power played their visitors tough, the Indians had too much firepower, turning a 14-11 lead after one quarter into a 27-18 halftime advantage. Souderton outscored the Drakes 30-17 in the second half.
Souderton (14-2, 6-1 SOL) will travel to Coatesville for a non-league game on Monday.
