Boys
PENNRIDGE 58, QUAKERTOWN 46
Jon Post scored a game-high 19 points while Sean Yoder added 18 to lead the Rams to the convincing win over their neighboring rival.
Nine players contributed scoring for the Rams, who led 13-7 after one quarter and took a 33-20 lead into halftime. The Panthers, who trailed by 14 heading into the final quarter, never threatened.
Tyrese Lewis added six points for the Rams, who connected on 8-of-12 from the charity stripe in the contest.
The Panthers received big performances from Matt Lucas (18 points) and Eli Ortiz (15 points). Lucas buried six 3-pointers to account for all 18 of his points. Grey Mitchell added seven points while Kevin Juszynski had six. The Panthers were 7-of-10 from the foul line.
Pennridge (4-0) will host Neshaminy on Tuesday in a non-league contest, and Quakertown (0-3) will host Freedom in a non-league game Saturday at 7 p.m.

UPPER MORELAND 61, LOWER MORELAND 41
The Golden Bears scored just four points in the first quarter, and they were ultimately doomed by their slow start. They trailed 19-4 after one quarter and saw that deficit grow to 36-13 by halftime. The Bears outscored their hosts 31-26 in the second half but never could make up the ground they lost.
Christian O’Donnel had a big game for the Bears, scoring 17 points. Jake Villanueva added seven points.
Upper Moreland (1-2) will travel to Plymouth Whitemarsh for its SOL opener on Tuesday.

PENNRIDGE 49, QUAKERTOWN 21
The Rams used a balanced attack to defeat their neighboring rival. Rose McCormick led the way with 12 points while Brooke Bachtle added nine. Corinn Mart and Sam Muredda each chipped in six points in a contest that saw the Rams bury 11-of-15 from the foul line.
Pennridge led 10-6 after one quarter but used a 19-3 second quarter team to blow the game wide open. The Rams went into halftime with a 29-9 lead. They never looked back.
Veronica Best’s six points led the Panthers. Samantha Howard had five points.
Pennridge (2-2) will travel to Palisades for a non-league contest on Wednesday, and Quakertown (0-3) will be on the road at Pottstown for a non-league game on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Sparked by a pair of two three-pointers from Hannah Stainback, the Golden Bears led 9-8 after one quarter, and they found themselves deadlocked 18-18 at the intermission. The game got away from the Bears in a third quarter that saw them outscored by the Lions 10-4.
Stainback led the Bears with 10 points, including three 3-pointers, while Phoebe Longstreth – who had a pair of threes – added eight points.
Upper Moreland (1-2) will host Plymouth Whitemarsh in the SOL opener for both squads on Tuesday.
