William Tennent boys and CB East and Pennridge girls were winners in SOL basketball action on Wednesday.
Boys
WILLIAM TENNENT 57, NEW FOUNDATIONS CHARTER 47
Markeith Baxter scored a team-high 22 points and also had 10 rebounds to lead the Panthers to the non-league win. David West connected on three 3-pointers while Michael Mulville dished out a team-high five assists.
Noah Lindsey, Brandon Cardon and Jordan Gomes all scored in double figures for New Foundations Charter.
William Tennent (2-3, 0-1 SOL) will face Community Academy of Philadelphia in the opening round of its own tournament next Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Girls
PENNRIDGE 53, PALISADES 38
Sam Muredda erupted for 20 points, and teammate Brooke Bachtle added 17 to lead the Rams to the convincing non-league win. Muredda’s 20-point effort included a perfect 6-for-6 effort at the charity stripe. Gill Anderson added eight points.
The Rams, who led 15-8 after one quarter, took a 29-15 lead into halftime. Palisades trimmed that lead to 37-31 at the end of three quarters, but the Rams sealed the win with a 16-7 fourth quarter.
Pennridge (3-2) will travel to Central Bucks South on Thursday for its SOL opener.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 70, NORRISTOWN 33
The Patriots rolled to their fourth straight win after dropping their first two games of the season. They led 14-9 after one quarter and took a 32-16 lead into halftime. A 24-7 third quarter tear all but put the finishing touches on the no-doubt-about-it win.
Junior Elyse Shine’s 14 points led a balanced attack. Freshman Gabby Wilga added 10 and senior Bailey McManus had nine. Sophia Mancuso contributed eight points while Gina Russo and Madi Gregor both had six points.
Central Bucks East (4-2, 1-0 SOL) will travel to Souderton on Friday night.

The visiting Crusaders opened up a 12-4 lead after one quarter, and although the Trojans trimmed that deficit to five by halftime (20-15), they never could get over the hump. They were outscored 25-9 in the second half.
Victoria Selverian led the Trojans with 12 points. She was one of just four Wissahickon players in the scoring column.
Wissahickon (1-1, 1-0 SOL) will be on the road at Plymouth Whitemarsh on Friday.
“We have a tough schedule,” coach Rodney Cline said. “But if you want to be at that level, you have to play that level.”

The Knights found themselves in a 12-2 hole after one quarter, and they still trailed by 10 at the intermission. The teams spent the second half exchanging baskets.
“We’re just really struggling shooting,” coach Maggie deMarteleire said. “We got a lot of good shots in the first quarter and scored two points.”
Freshman Alli Lindsay (nine points) and sophomore Alaina Mullaly (eight points) led a balanced Knight attack. Senior Jess McKenzie added six points.
The Knights were a perfect 6-for-6 at the foul line while Governor Mifflin was 17-for-27, 9-for-14 in the fourth quarter.
