NORTH PENN 11, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 5
The Knights and visiting Colonials battled to a 2-2 tie after one quarter, but the Knights seized control of the game with a six-goal second quarter to go into halftime with an 8-3 lead.
Matt Dickson, Eric Diamond, Danny Payne and Dakari Luby each had two goals. Payne also had an assist. Lucas Yannul and Stephen Rinck both had one goal and one assist, and Andrew Kelly had one goal. Nic Conroy had two assists while Terryn Arnott added one assist.
RJ Macnamara won 10 face-offs, and North Penn goalie Bryon Rimmer recorded five saves.
North Penn (1-0) will travel to Methacton on Thursday for a 7 p.m. contest, and Plymouth Whitemarsh (0-1) will host Harriton on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.

NESHAMINY 8, SOUDERTON 7
The Redskins edged the Indians in a tightly contested battle, rallying from a 3-1 deficit after one quarter to take a 4-3 lead into halftime. Souderton tied the score 7-7 with 3:20 remaining. Nick Donato scored a goal that turned out to be the game winner with 1:07 left on the clock.
Donato had a big game, finishing with four goals and two assists. Mason Zeberlein added two goals and two assists, and Connor McVey added a pair of goals. Zeberlein also had two ground balls. Dawson Obringer scooped up a team-high six grounds balls, and John Hughes had four. Douglas Lang had three ground balls and a team-high three caused turnovers. Gabe MacIlvaine also had three ground balls while Ryan Maher had two.
For the Indians, Steven Blue had one goal and two assists while Walker Martin, Adam Booz and Cole Witoslawski each also had two goals. Jalen White had an assist. Souderton goalie Axell Beskar recorded 10 saves.
Neshaminy (1-0) will host Archbishop Ryan in a non-league game on Tuesday, and Souderton (1-1) will be travel to Pennridge on Tuesday for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
PENNSBURY 7, MARPLE NEWTOWN 6
The Falcons eked out a win in a non-league thriller on Tuesday.
Ben Abraham led the Falcons with three goals, one assist and three ground balls. Luke Vando had a team-high nine ground balls to go along with one goal and one assist. Cole Ruoff also had one goal and one assist as well as one ground ball.
Will Anderson and Avery Dysart each had one goal. Anderson also had three ground balls. Max Jackman and Charlie Nuschke both had one assist. Nuschke also had four ground balls.
Will Cusick scooped up four ground balls while Nate Racagno, Bryse Raniello and Justin Hernandez each had three ground balls.
Pennsbury goalie Tim Davis recorded 13 saves.
Pennsbury (1-0) will host Interboro on Wednesday.

SPRING-FORD 11, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 5
The CB South Titans suffered an 11-5 loss against Spring-Ford. Senior Dante Poli led the team with two goals and two assists. Single goals were also scored by juniors Austin Novick, Dylan Grosso and Jake Reilly.
Sophomore Tyler Horvath had four ground balls with sophomore Matt McDonald and senior Connor Falkowski each getting three, followed by Junior Dylan McCrory, freshman Christian Manibo and senior Joe Maag each scooping up two. Sophomores Logan Swangler and Colin Abbonizio, Poli, and senior Evan Casey each had one.
Goalie Bobby Sautner had eight saves. Horvath won 8 of 14 faceoffs. McDonald lead the team with two forced turnovers, with Poli, Falkowski, Manibo, Maag, and senior Matt Stoll each causing one.
Central Bucks South (0-1) will host Marple Newtown on Thursday at 3:45 p.m.
HAVERFORD 16, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 4
The Fords opened up a 5-0 lead after one quarter and led wire to wire.
Peter Lehman scored five goals and Beckett Thompson added a goal and an assist for the Indians. Brendan McLaughlin chipped in a pair of assists.
Council Rock North (1-1) will travel to Upper Moreland on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 10, ABINGTON 6
Emma Haring and Finley Ueland ignited the Bucks’ offense in Tuesday’s season opener. Both players scored three goals and added an assist. Dani Dundas added a goal and two assists while Kelly O’Callaghan, Liv Fitzgerald and Maddie Maio had one goal each.
The Bucks led 5-2 at halftime and never looked back.
“I was not sure what to expect tonight given we have not been outside much this March and given that both of our teams had lost a lot of players,” coach Tara Schmucker said. “But (we) came out strong and got a five-goal lead.
“We had ups and downs and some turnovers typical of a first game. Abington did a great job on draws and had a lot of speed to get back in the game. But I am very proud of West-we never stop fighting and defense did an excellent job of adjusting in the end. And when things got close, attack finished, especially in free positions.”
Lauren Ring earned the win in goal for the Bucks, turning away eight shots.
“Lauren Ring had an outstanding game in cage tonight,” Schmucker said. “Emma Haring was solid and composed for a sophomore.
“Finley Ueland had a great offensive performance with some solid finishes and an excellent assist off a free position to Emma. Dani Dundas scored her 100th career goal and had a well-rounded game.”
In addition to having a hand in three goals, Dundas had two draw controls and four ground balls. Lucy Varner added two caused turnovers and two ground balls.
“The entire defense did a great job of working together in the end, but specifically Maddie Maio was solid defensively on 1v1s,” Schmucker said.
Central Bucks West (1-0) will be on the road at Wissahickon on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. game. Abington (0-1) will travel to Plymouth Whitemarsh for Monday’s SOL opener.

UPPER MORELAND 16, UPPER MERION 9
The Golden Bears raced out of the gate to a 9-1 lead but then had to hold off a surging Viking squad in the second half.
“Upper Merion was a tough team that fought to the last second of the game,” coach Kim Frantz said. “We had to work hard to keep control of the game and often found ourselves in a back and forth battle with Upper Merion.
“We started the game off really strong which helped us in the end.”
The Golden Bears received several big performances in the win.
“Cheyanne Grumm in the goal came up big for us today and had 14 saves,” Frantz said. “Jess Flanagan had a great game with four goals, one assist and three draw controls.
“Moira Olexa had a great game with three goals and three assists. Overall, the team is starting to come together as a unit.”
Megan O’Donnell also had a hat trick with three goals and one assist. Bryanna Gordon added two goals while Emma Meakim had two goals and two assists. Chloe Leiter had one goal and one assist, and AbbyEllen Wood had one goal. Claudia Zanine chipped in an assist. Cassidy Hirsch came up with two draw controls.
Upper Moreland (2-0) will travel to Ridley for a non-league contest on Thursday at 10 a.m.

GREAT VALLEY 12, WISSAHICKON 7
Brooke Berry scored three goals and added an assist to lead the Trojans’ attack. Sophia Chiodo-Ortiz also connected for a hat trick to go along with two draw controls. Quinn Gaffey added a goal and an assist, and Kelly Dickson chipped in with an assist and three draw controls.
Wissahickon goalie Jaclyn Staub had eight saves.
Wissahickon (1-1) will host Central Bucks West on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Monday, March 26
PERKIOMEN VALLEY 9, PENNRIDGE 4
Grace Loughery connected for a hat trick and Morgan Wahlers added a single goal for the Rams, who trailed 5-0 at halftime.
Alexa Machado was credited with 11 saves in goal.
Pennridge (0-1) is off until next Tuesday when the Rams will travel to Saucon Valley for a non-league game.
