PENNSBURY 11, PENNINGTON SCHOOL 7
Will Anderson put the Falcons on the board eight seconds into the game with an assist from Ryan DeZutel off the opening face-off. By the time the game had ended, Anderson had four goals and two assists to lead the Falcons.
DeZutel went on to win 16-of-18 face-offs. He also had 12 ground balls to go along with two goals and one assist.
“Ryan DeZutel played really well,” coach Drew Artin said. “He had a big performance for us on face-offs.
“Will Anderson has really stepped up for us offensively.”
Colby Seneca and Jesse Keaton both had one goal and one assist. Adding one goal each were Charlie Nuschke, Will Cusick and Gavin Fleming.
Pennsbury goalie Luke Nolan recorded seven saves in a winning effort.
Pennsbury (2-2, 0-1 SOL) will host Archbishop Wood Tuesday in a non-league game.
BOYERTOWN 9, SOUDERTON 2
Walker Martin and Cole Witoslawski each scored a goal while Dylan Anderson had an assist in Friday’s non-league loss to the host Bears.
Axell Beskar recorded 10 saves in goal for the Indians.
Souderton (3-1) will travel to Pennsbury on Friday for a non-league game.

Anna Green scored a goal early in overtime to propel the Titans to the dramatic win over the visiting Golden Hawks.
“Anna came up with the game-winner on an 8-meter shot,” CB South coach Janique Craig said. “The girls did a great job, and I look forward to seeing them improve every game.
“We have a very young attack with talent, which is exciting.”
The Titans found themselves on the short end of a 6-4 score at halftime, but they did not allow a goal the rest of the way. Katelyn Wendling recorded six crucial saves in goal for the Titans.
“Our defense did a phenomenal job shutting out Council Rock South and was led by senior captain Sofia Sonnet,” Craig said. “They forced bad passes and played with poise. The defense also did a great job on Council Rock’s top scorer, Claudia Steinmetz.”
Green and Fran Richick each contributed three goals and one assist to lead the Titans. Tegan Mullan added a single goal while Kate Victor and Janessa Watson each had an assist.
Steinmetz’s hat trick led the Golden Hawks.
Central Bucks South (2-0) will host Hatboro-Horsham Monday in a non-league game, and Council Rock South (1-3) will travel to Neshaminy on Thursday for its SOL opener.
PLYMOUTH WHITMARSH 10, HAVERFORD 9
After dropping their first two games of the season, the Colonials won back-to-back games to even their record at 2-2. In Friday’s win, they took a 6-2 advantage into halftime and then had to fight off a Fords’ second-half comeback.
“We led most of the game by four goals,” coach Ellen Reilly said. “The last five or six minutes we just got lazy and threw the ball away, and they came down and put it in the net the way they were supposed to.”
“I think my defense (low defenders Lilly Hanlon, Haley McCourt, Haley Zygmunt and Jess Margulies) again came through because there were times when Haverford had the ball, and we created a caused turnover. We got the ball and were able to go down to the other end.”
Goalie Clancy Lynch recorded six saves.
“She had some pretty good saves – she gets her body in front of the ball,” Reilly said. “I think Haverford was frustrated because they thought some of their shots should have gone in that she saved.”
Max Leszcynski led the Colonials’ attack with four goals and an assist. Lex Petrakis had a hat trick while Raquel Baskin, Natalie Lannie and Fiona Goonerante each added a single goal.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (2-2) will travel to Pennsbury on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 16, AVON GROVE 10
Casey Reichwein turned in a stellar outing, leading the Bucks to the non-league win with 11 draw controls, four goals, three assists, three ground balls and one caused turnover. Maddy McGarry also came up big with three draw controls, four goals and two caused turnovers. Julia Carey added four goals and one assist while Tori Albrecht, Emma Haring, Lindsey Horton and Kristen Rice each had one goal. Albrecht also had an assist.
“Our attack is beginning to click, and today we had seven girls score,” coach Rebecca Cartee Haring said. “Our defense played well, pressuring their attack.
“Izzy Treon and Shannen Roy anchored the defense with caused turnovers.”
Roy had three caused turnovers and Treon had two.
Central Bucks West (2-1) is off until next Friday when the Bucks will travel to Methacton for a non-league game.
WISSAHICKON 20, LOWER MERION 3
The Trojans picked up their second win in as many games. Sam Intrieri erupted for seven goals and also had an assist and six draw controls to lead the Trojans. Brooke Berry and Sophie Chiodo Ortiz both had a hat trick and two assists. Kelly Dickson had a pair of goals, one assist and five draw controls. Quinn Gaffey had one goal and two assists. Emma Hubbs added a pair of goals while Abby Degroat had one goal and three draw controls. Emma Baker contributed a goal, and Lauren Donofrio chipped in an assist.
Coach Rob Intrieri lauded the played of his defense, led by Lauren Donofrio, Lexi Hobson, Haley Reed, Naomi Bram and goalkeeper Madeleine Murphy. The Trojans did not allow a goal in the second half.
“The defense played together as a unit and was very sound,” the Trojans’ first-year coach said.
Wissahickon (2-0) will host Pennridge Monday in a non-league game.
