QUAKERTOWN 11, HARRY S TRUMAN 7
The Panthers made history on Monday, notching the young program’s first varsity win over a SOL team.
“We are celebrating for our current players and those who played for us,” Quakertown coach Jay Donis said. “We are overall a young squad, our first goal of the game was a freshman – Evan Hilton – assisted by another freshman – Alex Jalboot.
“We had six different goal scorers in a balanced effort, and full credit goes to the Truman squad for fighting all game.”
The visiting Panthers opened up a 4-1 lead after one quarter and took a 6-3 lead into halftime. They edged their hosts 5-4 in the second half
“Seniors Max Jalboot, Dan Litvinchuk, Mason Smith and Zach Webb set the tone for us early and kept the guys focused on and off the field,” Donis said.
Quakertown (1-0) will travel to Pennridge for a non-league game Wednesday at 7 p.m. Harry S Truman (0-1) is off until next Tuesday when the Tigers will host Central Bucks South in its SOL opener.

NORTH PENN 7, HATBORO-HORSHAM 6
The Knights found themselves a man up late in the third period, and they capitalized, scoring a pair of goals to take a lead they would not lose. Lars Homan led the Knights, connecting for a hat trick and contributing an assist.
“Lars Homan played well as a two-way middie with three goals and an assist and also gave us strong play on the defensive end,” NP coach Rick Smith said.
Jake Dolan had a hand in three goals with a goal and two assists. Dakari Luby had a goal and an assist while Caleb Moister and Jake Henrysen both had a single goal.
Jaden Mariano’s hat trick led the Hatters. David Benjamin contributed one goal and one assist and was credited with five ground balls. He also won 8 of 16 face-offs. Min Lee added one goal and three ground balls while Tyler Kim had one goal and two ground balls. Justin Focht chipped in an assist. Dylan Fesmire’ s six ground balls led the Hatters. He also had four caused turnovers. Conor Davis had five ground balls. HH goalie Brendan Kim was credited with 11 saves.
North Penn goalie Matthew Kuhn was credited with 12 saves in a strong outing.
North Penn (1-1) will travel to Lower Merion for a non-league game on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Hatboro-Horsham (0-2) will travel to Upper Moreland for next Tuesday’s SOL opener.

SOUDERTON 13, ABINGTON 5
Luke Wawrzynek won 14 of 18 face-offs, effectively keeping the ball away from Abington all day.
Kobi Bui led the Indians’ attack with five goals. John Martin Vince added three goals and one assist. Jason McDivitt had a hand in six goals, scoring two goals and also dishing off four assists. Ty Quintos added a goal and an assist while Seth Grossman and Justin Wawrzynek each added a single goal.
Souderton (2-0) will travel to Neshaminy for its SOL opener on Wednesday (3:30 p.m.) Abington (0-1) will host Council Rock North in a non-league game on Wednesday.

GREAT VALLEY 7, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 6
The Titans took a 6-1 lead into halftime, but the visiting Patriots turned up the defensive pressure in the second half and rallied for the win.
Scoring one goal each were Logan Dunn, Evan Jacobsen, Cole Cenci, Nick Fareno and Liam Brittin. Dunn also contributed an assist.
Central Bucks South (0-1) will travel to West Chester Rustin for a non-league game Thursday (10 a.m.).

DOWNINGTOWN EAST 8, PENNSBURY 5
Nico Sione’s stellar 27-save effort in goal kept the visiting Falcons within striking distance. They trailed 7-2 heading into the final quarter when they outscore the Cougars 3-1 to pull to within three.
Kyle Rinehimer scored two goals and had one assist while Avery Dysart, Michael DeZutel and Will Taylor each added a single goal.
Pennsbury (1-1) will travel to Bishop Shanahan for a non-league game on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

WISSAHICKON 13, PENNRIDGE 3
Emma Baker had herself quite a game for the Trojans, contributing six goals, one assist and five draw controls.
Abby DeGroat added three goals, one assist and two draw controls while Sophia Chiodo Ortiz scored two goals and added a pair of assists. Quinn Gaffey added one goal, one assist and two ground balls, Chloe Lee had one goal, one assist and one ground ball while Nora Ryan chipped in one assist and two ground balls. Lexi Hobson added three ground balls and four draw controls for Wissahickon.
Madeline Murphy recorded nine saves in goal for the Trojans and also was credited with one ground ball.
For the visiting Rams, Amelia Loughery scored all three goals. Goalie Brenna Craig was credited with nine saves.
Wissahickon (2-0) will travel to Central Bucks South for a non-league game Wednesday, and Pennridge (0-1) will be on the road at Quakertown for a 6 p.m. contest.

The Titans found themselves staring at a 10-2 halftime deficit but rebounded to play the Patriots all but even in the second half.
Junior Kate Victor and senior captain Janessa Watson both had three goals and one assist to lead the Titans. Senior captain Bridget Curtis and junior Tegan Mullan both had one goal and two assists. Freshman Brooke Cenci had one goal, and junior Madeline Flynn had one assist.
South goalie Gabby Mayo was credited with eight saves.
Central Bucks South (0-1) will host Wissahickon on Wednesday in a non-league game.

HAVERFORD 12, UPPER DUBLIN 7
The Fords opened up an 8-2 lead, but the Flying Cardinals regrouped to turn in a solid second half, outscoring the Fords 5-4 after the intermission.
“The defensive unit really stepped it up in the second half and allowed us to gain possession of the ball,” said UD coach Dee Cross.
UD’s defense was comprised of Erin Eby, Allie Gay, Devin Fabry and Sarah Brightcliffe.
Riley Brady was credited with five saves in goal for the Cardinals.
Jenn McCarry led the Flying Cardinals’ attack with four goals and two assists. Tess Reardon added two goals and one assist, and Aditi Foster had one goal.
The Fords were led by the three-goal efforts of Grace Hetznecker, Emma Rowland and Hillary Elsner.
Upper Dublin (0-2) will travel to Downingtown West for a non-league game on Tuesday.

WEST CHESTER HENDERSON 15, NORTH PENN 7
The visiting Knights trailed by just a 5-3 score at halftime only to watch the Warriors erupt for 10 second-half goals.
“It was an eye-opening season opener for us,” NP coach Heather Mellow said. “Henderson did a good job of capitalizing on all our turnovers.”
Lily Szilagi’s three-goal, one-assist effort led the Knights. Kat Rimmer added a pair of goals while Kayla Stressman, Grace Macnamara, Emily Varilla and Erin O’Donnell each had one goal.
In goal for the Knights, Keira Holt recorded 12 saves.
“We still have a lot to improve on,” Mellow said. “Thankfully, we don’t have another game until next Wednesday. It gives us time to make some adjustments and be ready to go by then.”
North Penn (0-1) will travel to Council Rock North next Wednesday (April 7) for its SOL opener.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 13, QUAKERTOWN 7
Morgan McCaffrey scored five goals and Grace Vliet added a hat trick to lead the Indians’ attack in Monday’s season opener.
“Jill Hopkins was strong in transition,” Rock North coach Denise Noseworthy said. “The defense played great with Sarah Lewis, Lindsey O’Brien and Marlena Ries.”
Lily Sadovy anchored the defense with 17 saves in a standout effort in goal.
Council Rock North (1-0) will host North Penn on Wednesday, and Quakertown (1-1) will host Pennridge on Wednesday.
