MARPLE NEWTOWN 13, ABINGTON 7
The Ghosts found themselves on the short end of an 8-0 score after one quarter and although they outscored Marple-Newtown over the next three quarter, they never could make up the ground they lost.
John Petriccione connected for a hat trick to lead the Ghosts. Jack Kurtz assisted on a pair and also scored a goal. Nevin Baer added a goal and an assist while Ryan Tuffy and Casey Hesdon each added single goals.
Zach Faust (four goals, one assist) and Mike May (three goals) led Marple-Newtown.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 19, SOUDERTON 1
The Bucks notched a no-doubt-about-it win over the Indians in a non-league contest on Saturday. Dani Dundas turned in a glittering offensive performance with five goals and three assists. Bryn Boylan scored three goals and also had three assists. In addition, she had three caused turnovers, five draw controls and four ground balls, filling a stat sheet. Finley Ueland scored four goals in a strong offensive outing.
“Madi Maio also had a solid performance with four draws, two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and she was 2-for-2 in converting goals,” coach Tara Schmucker said.
Maio also had a pair of assists. Casey Reichwein and Liv Fitzgerald also both had a pair of goals. Reichwein added an assist.
Jenny Ubowski accounted for Souderton’s only goal.
West goalie Lauren Devlin recorded five saves in a winning effort.
ABINGTON 13, RIDLEY 6
The Ghosts received contributions up and down their lineup in their decisive win over the Green Raiders.
Sam McGee led the attack with five goals to go along with one caused turnover and four draw controls. Casey Mccallister also had a big game with three goals, one caused turnover and one ground ball. Maddie Sjoholm added two goals, one caused turnover, one ground ball and two draw controls. Lindsay Baer had one goal and two assists. Cathy Staerk contributed two assists, one ground ball and four draw controls. Abby Thomas and Jules Greco both added single goals. Jordan Campbell (three caused turnovers, two ground balls), Becca Gable (one caused turnover, one ground ball), Morris (one caused turnover, two grounds balls), Simon (one ground ball) and Van Buren (one assist) also contributed.
Abington goalie Kiki Brasher recorded eight saves in the win.
GREAT VALLEY 13, WISSAHICKON 8
The Trojans fell behind early and trailed 8-2 at halftime. They regrouped to outscore the Patriots in the second half, but it wasn’t enough.
“The girls played as a team, were aggressive and didn’t let down,” coach Patty Kovacs said.
Emily Vervlied had a big day on attack, scoring five goals and assisting on another. Sam Intieri added a pair, and Carolyn Wilde had one goal. Lauren Donofrio added and assist.
Trojan goalie Kyra Myers recorded six saves.
