Boys
SOUDERTON 5, HARRITON 1
Defense was the name of the game when the Indians travelled to Harriton for a non-league contest.
“It was a fantastic defensive performance,” coach Mark Princehorn said. “Our ‘D’ really stepped up for us. It was the best they have played all season.
“It was a great four-quarter effort by our guys today.”
Brock Azeff led the Indians with a pair of goals while Dylan Anderson and Cole Witoslawski each had a goal and an assist. Walker Martin had a single goal, and Matt Rauch contributed an assist.
Nick Guthre and Luke Atiyeh both had four ground balls.
Axel Beskar recorded eight saves in goal for the Indians.
Souderton (6-2, 1-1 SOL) will travel to Hatboro-Horsham on Tuesday.
PINE-RICHLAND 9, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 4
Pine-Richland opened up a 3-0 lead after one quarter of Saturday’s non-league game, and although the Patriots rallied and pulled to within one by halftime (4-3), they never could get over the hump.
Ryan Stout and Ryan Carroll each had two goals to account for all of East’s goals. Ryan Gray added an assist.
Nils Updale won three face-offs, and East goalie Liam Rosenthal recorded eight saves.
Evan Bullotta scooped up four ground balls while Connor Martin and Ryan Eife both had two ground balls. Contributing one ground ball each were Stout, Jimmy Knepp, Jake Kueny, Joey Beahan, Ben Yerkes, Ryan McCauley and Updale. Martin, Knepp and Kueny each added a caused turnover.
Central Bucks East (4-4, 1-1 SOL) will host North Penn on Monday.

LOWER MERION 10, SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP 6
Wilson Krewson scored four goals while Zach Coppol and Dillon Donnelly each had one goal, but it wasn’t enough to defeat the Aces.
Springfield Township (4-2, 2-0 SOL) will travel to Abington on Tuesday.

The Falcons upped their record to a perfect 9-0, and this one was anything but easy.
“New Hope played a really nice game,” coach Shannon McPherson said. “They have some really nice players on their team, and they definitely challenged us in this game, which honestly is something that we needed just to get us ready for the second half of the season.
“We were down by three in the first half and we were also down by three in the second half, so it just shows that the girls dug deep, and they found what they needed to get back up on top.”
The Falcons led 9-7 at halftime and outscored their hosts in the second half.
Maddy Spratt had another big game for the Falcons, scoring six goals and assisting on seven others. Emelie Curtis (one assist) and Sarah Walcott both had four goals. Maggie Golder added a hat trick and two assists. Brooke Weaver had two goals and one assist, and Lexie Snyder had two goals. Darrien Furness added a single goal to close out the scoring.”
“Defensively, Caitlin Doyle, one of our captains, really got the girls pumped up on defense,” MacPherson said. “Especially in that second half when we were down by three, we had a timeout, and she got the girls going and helped us finish out strong.”
Pennsbury (9-0, 2-0 SOL) will put its undefeated record on the line when the Falcons travel to Central Bucks West for a key conference battle Monday (7 p.m.).
“Coming into the season, I wasn’t sure what to expect losing 12 seniors, but the younger girls have really stepped up,” MacPherson said. “They have a want to win right now. We’re excited for them, we’re celebrating today’s win, but we need to get ourselves ready for the second half of the season because there are a lot of games left.
“They’re such a great group of girls, they’re very coachable. When we tell them to do something, they go out and they fix it. They all work together. We had seven girls scoring. They want to see each other succeed, and they’re so happy and excited for each other, which is a breath of fresh air.”

Today’s game was a huge win for us. We knew we were up against a very good team and that we really had to step up in order to compete with them. They knew exactly what they had to do, and they did it; both individually and as a team. I am so proud of how they played today. Brigitte (Bishop) executed the draws perfectly, which allowed our entire offensive unit to work together to put the ball in the cage. The patience, ball movement, and capitalizing on possession is something we have really been working on…and today all that hard work paid off. Our defensive unit worked incredibly hard to keep Pine Richland out of our end. They communicated so well and supported each other with their slides and double teams. Fiona (Henderson) did awesome in the cage today. She saved seven tough shots and kept them to one goal for the entire game. Across the board, everyone did their job on the field and we played as a team, connecting our passes, communicating across the field, and scooping up 14 gb in order to control the game. For the entire 50 min they played together, worked hard, and motivated each other to achieve the results they wanted.

Brigitte Bishop contributed one goal, one assist and four draw controls. Riley Forman led the attack with seven goals and one draw control. Quinn Ferry scored four goals while Morgan Eater had one goal and five ground balls. Fiona Henderson turned away seven shots to earn the win in goal.
Friday, April 12
LIBERTY 19, QUAKERTOWN 8
The Panthers were led by the four-goal effort of Haley Hangey while Kayla Hillaert added a pair of goals. Liv Williams and Natalie Reilly each added one goal. Reilly and Morgan Sipprell each had a pair of assists.
Hangey also scooped up five ground balls to lead the Panthers. Hillaert and Williams each were credited with two ground balls.
Quakertown (2-5, 1-1 SOL) will travel to Upper Moreland on Monday.
