HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, ARCHBISHOP WOOD 1
The Hatters – unfazed by the dreary conditions – erupted for three second-half goals to defeat the visiting Vikings in Saturday’s non-league contest. Anthony Pumilia scored all three of his team’s goals.
“It was a good day,” Hatters’ coach Kyle McGrath said. “Anthony had a hat trick, which was good to see. He’s been trying to get on the scoresheet for us all year, and he had a very good day today.”
After battling to a scoreless halftime tie, the Hatters’ offense came to life in the second half. It began with a goal in the 42ndminute.
“Logan Clayton had a ball along the sideline, crossed it into the box for Anthony Pumilia , whose first shot got saved by the goalkeeper, but he was able to follow up his rebound to give us a 1-0 lead,” Hatters’ coach Kyle McGrath said.
The Hatters upped that lead to 2-0 in the 51stminute.
“Logan Gisondi played the ball to Ant (Pumilia), and he was able to beat the defender and then placed a beautiful curling shot into the far post to beat their goalkeeper,” McGrath said.
Gisondi and Pumilia teamed up for the third goal as well.
“This time Logan Clayton played it in to Logan Gisondi, who flipped it on as Ant was overlapping him, and Ant was able to beat the goalkeeper as he was coming out for the ball,” McGrath said.
The Vikings broke up the Hatters’ shutout bid with a goal in the 74thminute.
“Both Logans (Gisondi and Clayton) played very well,” McGrath said. ”Aidan Morrison played very good in the midfield for us as did Christian Paone – (they’re) two guys who’ve played a lot but maybe haven’t had the seasons they were hoping for, but both played very well today against Wood.
“Christian Patelmo and Luke Weiss had strong games at center back for us as well.”

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, METHACTON 1
The visiting Titans broke a 1-1 halftime tie with a pair of second-half goals to earn the non-league win Friday.
“It wasn’t our best game even though I believe we dominated the majority of it,” South coach Kyle Petticon said. “As we had two big games against East and West in the same week, I rotated through the whole squad. It’s also homecoming weekend, so I think the boys were distracted on the high of beating West and a big school weekend.”
A goal by Connor Victor gave the Titans a 1-0 lead midway through the first half.
“We then switched off and they answered back,” Petticon said of the Warriors equalizer.
The Titans sealed the win when Evan Jaskelewicz scored early in the second half, and Nate MacLeod scored to put the Titans on top 3-1 late in the game.
“The main thing is that we got the result we needed and now we can start looking toward a tough week,” Petticon said.
Central Bucks South (11-3-1, 9-3-1 SOL) will travel to North Penn on Monday at 7 p.m.
