The Falcons overcame the sweltering heat to earn a pair of wins at Twin Valley High School, downing Brandywine Heights in the opener and then rolling to a shutout win over the host team in the final.
In the Brandywine Heights game, Zach LoBasso turned an Obi Onhou pass into a goal in the 15th minute. That 1-0 lead stood until Nyles Kayemitte (Sam Beidle assist) scored in the 55th minute for the 2-0 final.
In the final against Twin Valley, LoBasso set the tone for a dominant performance with a goal in the 11th minute, using a Kayemitte assist. Seven minutes later, Josh Panaro (Onhous assist) found the net, and the LoBasso put the finishing touches on an overpowering nine-minute span, connecting for his team’s third goal in that span with an assist from Randy Dickersbach. Bernardo Olivaries closed out the scoring with a goal in the 28th minute, using a Matt Tennant assist.
“It was a total team effort,” coach Tom Stodart said. “We were great in the first 20 minutes of the final.”
Pennsbury (4-0, 1-0 SOL) will be on the road at Neshaminy next Thursday.

NESHAMINY 2, HOLY GHOST PREP 0
The Redskins scored a pair of second-half goals, earning a shutout win in a non-league battle between the neighboring rivals.
“The first half was fairly even,” coach Tom Foley said. “No team really generated many chances.
“The second half we started connecting on a lot more of our passes and created really good opportunities.”
Jon Albarran put the Redskins on the scoreboard in the 68th minute.
“Off a corner kick, the ball came to Abarran about 25 yards from goal,” Foley said. “He launched a rock that beat the keeper cleanly.”
Two minutes later, sophomore Vincent McGynn scored the first goal of his career for the ‘Skins.
“He collected the ball at the top of the penalty area off a corner and bent the ball beautifully around the goalkeeper,” Foley said. “I thought the first half we were sluggish from yesterday’s match. In the second half, we found a rhythm and controlled the half.”
Neshaminy (2-0, 1-0 SOL) will be on the road at Abington on Tuesday.

August Meyer scored the game winner in the 76th minute with an assist from Marcos Urffer. Goalkeeper Dylan Smith made six saves and earned his second clean sheet of the season.
Central Bucks West (2-1, 1-1 SOL) will host Central Bucks South on Tuesday at War Memorial Field (7 p.m.).

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 2, ABINGTON 1 (OT)
The visiting Bucks won a thriller when – in the 86th minute – Trish Hauck turned a perfect lead pass by Mary Kate Vinkler into a goal.
Vinkler spotted the Bucks a 1-0 lead when she connected on an unassisted goal in the 27th minute, and that lead held until the 58th minute when Isabella Mugnier scored the equalizer.
“It was an outstanding performance by the entire West team,” coach Chris Fehrle said. “Especially Mary Kate Vinkler, Kerri Orbach, Allie Walsh, Trish Hauck, Emily Hackett, Ariana D’Elia and Meg Gallagher.”
Central Bucks West (2-2, 0-2 SOL) will host Hatboro-Horsham in a non-league game Monday at War Memorial Field. Abington (0-2, 0-1) will travel to Neshaminy on Tuesday.

NORTH PENN 8, DOCK MENNONITE ACADEMY 1
The Knights seized control of Saturday’s opener from the outset. Zoei Baines (Anna Pedicone assist) scored within the first minute and a minute later added her second goal, this one with an assist from Alexis Henderson. Amerlia Eshraghi’s goal spotted the Knights a 3-0 lead in the fifth minutes. By halftime, Jackie Galang (Marissa Werner assist), Werner (Liv Jerome assist) and Cynthia Sheehy (Isabelle Hughes) had each added a single goal, propelling the Knights to a commanding 6-0 lead.
Dock broke the Knights’ shutout bid when Mia Bevilacqua converted a penalty kick in the 63rd minute, but Galang (Julia Berry assist) and Sheehy found the net with their second goals for the 8-1 final.
“Several girls had multiple goals, but more importantly, it was the total team effort that helped earn the win,” coach Jim Dehner said. “Dock did not quit after giving up some early goals, which is a testament to their team and to their coaching.”
North Penn (2-2, 1-1 SOL) will be on the road at William Tennent on Tuesday.

The visiting Falcons owned Saturday’s non-league game at Unionville, opening up a 3-0 lead just 13 minutes into the contest. Riley Young scored an unassisted goal that would prove to be the game winner in the fifth minute. Six minutes later, Kelsey Butler used a Whitney Roth assist to score a goal that put the Falcons on top 2-0. An unassisted goal in the 13th minute by Hope Drewes gave the Falcons a three-goal advantage. A goal by Roth (Dani Cady assist) in the 52nd minute put an exclamation point on the convincing win.
Goalies Kerry Phillips and Alyssa O’Driscoll combined for the shutout.
Pennsbury (3-0, 1-0 SOL) will host Neshaminy on Thursday.

ELIZABETHTOWN 1, SOUDERTON 0 (2 OT)
Less than 24 hours after an emotional win over Central Bucks East, the Indians were extended to double overtime with their visitors connecting for the game winner with four minutes remaining in the second overtime.
Souderton created some good opportunities to score with through balls down the middle and dangerous crosses, but never managed to finish.
Souderton (2-1, 2-0 SOL) will host Pennridge on Tuesday.
