WILSON WEST LAWN 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 2
WILLIAM TENNENT 3, SPRING-FORD 0
The Panthers – less than 24 hours removed from a shutout win over Council Rock South – split a pair of games at the Wilson West Lawn Tournament on Saturday.
In their opening match of the day, the Panthers received a pair of goals from Kyle Delevan, but it wasn’t quite enough to defeat their hosts.
Delevan used an assist from teammate Dan Mehaffey to put the Panthers on the scoreboard six minutes into the contest. Wilson West Lawn’s Christian Sload scored 15 minutes later to knot the score 1-1 heading into halftime.
Sam Sorenson and Caleb Wertz connected on back-to-back goals – the latter by Wertz in the 65th minute put the home team on top 3-1. One minute later, Delevan (Mike Masella assist) found the back of the net to make it a 3-2 game, but the Panthers would not score the rest of the way.
In their second match against the Rams, the Panthers never trailed. Steve Testa scored an unassisted goal to spot Tennent a 1-0 lead. Goals by Tony Ciarlante (Michael Albers assist) and John Scheeler (Billy Hanratty assist) gave the Panthers their final margin of victory.
Goalie Brendan Hanratty was credited with four saves in the shutout win.

“It was just a good game between two good teams,” Hatboro-Horsham coach Kyle McGrath said. “The PW goalkeeper – Matt Gatta – played great.
“It was unfortunate to see it decided on a PK, but it was the right call.”
Plymouth Whitemarsh (4-1-1, 2-1-1 SOL) will travel to Springfield on Monday while Hatboro-Horsham (4-3, 2-2) will host Central Bucks West at 7 p.m.

SOUDERTON 2, MOUNT ST. JOSEPH ACADEMY 1
The Indians returned to action Saturday morning on the heels of their emotional win over Pennridge and earned a hard fought win over the Magic.
“It was important to come out today and win after such a big win the night before,” coach Chris Felber said. “We still have more games to win if you want to make playoffs, and tough games keep coming thick and fast, so every win is important and we cannot afford to be complacent.
“This was a scrappy game, and we failed to really settle down and play the way we want to. I feel both teams were tired from playing conference games the night before, but we did score two very nice goals. In spells of the game, we would start to find feet and get the ball moving.”
The Indians used goals from by McCausland (Tori Dowd assist) and Elizabeth Darst to eke out the win.
“Our first goal came from a few passes in the middle and then a great split ball from Aleia Kramer got Tori Dowd into the box,” Felber said. “Tori played the ball nicely across the goal, and Cara side footed it into the other side of the net. With just four minutes to halftime, it was great time to equalize.
“The second half we played better and certainly controlled the ball more and created more chances, but it was still not our usual game. Finally with 15 minutes left, we had another good play. A few passes got us up the outside of the field in their half, and we switched the ball through our striker, Cara McCausland, to find Elizabeth Darst at the top of the box, a nice first time finish to slip the ball past the goalie from the top of the 18.”
Souderton (6-1, 3-1 SOL) will host Central Bucks South on Monday at 7:30.
Mount St. Joseph 1-0 1
Souderton 1-1 2
PENNSBURY 3, UNIONVILLE 1
The Falcons got on the scoreboard early and never looked back on their way to the non-league win. Meredith Webber (Hope Drewes assist) set the tone with a goal in the second minute, and it was a 2-0 game after Kelly Amador turned a Webber assist into a goal in the 16th minute. That 2-0 lead held until the intermission.
Unionville cut that lead in half when Gabrielle White found the back of the net five minutes into the second half, and it remained a one-goal game until Jenna Peters scored in the 75th minute, using an assist from Riley Rudd.
Pennsbury keeper Nany Santiago was credited with four saves in the win.
Pennsbury (6-0, 4-0 SOL) will host Neshaminy in a battle for conference supremacy on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
