CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, PLEASANT VALLEY 0
After surviving a pair of SOL nail biters this week, the Patriots made things easy for themselves, scoring three goals in the opening 20 minutes on their way to the convincing non-league win.
“We got a lot of people some playing time and that always helps,” coach Mike Gorni said. “They’re not a bad team. It’s just like last week against Spring-Ford (a 5-0 win) – we jumped out so quickly, and it makes life a little easier. We’ll take it.”
Andrew Walters put the Patriots on the scoreboard, using an assist by Edgar Mauge. Evan Vare followed with back-to-back goals – the first with an assist from J.R. Eisold and the second with a Liam Creedon assist.
Austin Prime earned the shutout win, seeing action for the opening half.
The Patriots (4-0, 2-0 SOL) will host Hatboro-Horsham on Wednesday.

SOUDERTON 2, WEST CHESTER HENDERSON 1
Cara McCausland scored both of her team’s goals – the second in the closing seconds of regulation – as the Indians improved to 4-0 on the young season. Maddie Deopner and Bre DiRenzi each added an assist.
A goal by McCausland in the 23rd minute (Deopner assist) put the Indians on top 1-0, but West Chester Henderson knotted the score on an own goal in the 39th minute, knotting the score 1-1 at the intermission.
“It was a great game,” coach Chris Felber said. “I felt we were the better team in the first half and deserved the 1-0 lead.
“It was very unfortunate to let an own goal in from a cross. It was one of those plays that the defender felt she had to go for it but with some communication could have been dealt with. It ended 278 minutes without losing a goal.”
The Indians won it when McCausland (DiRenzi assist) connected in the 80th minute.
“After (they tied it), West Chester really went at us, and they were the better team in the second half,” Felber said. “But our defense stood firm, and we never gave up.
“Bre DiRenzi shook the goal frame with a powerful shot with just seconds left and Cara McCausland finished a very difficult rebound. It was her seventh goal of the season, including three preseason games. I’m absolutely delighted with the win and our 100 percent record. I’m so proud of the team.”
The Indians (4-0, 2-0 SOL)) will travel to Central Bucks West on Wednesday.
Souderton 1-1 2
West Chester Henderson 1-0 1
